Located in the "The Shops at Gainey Village" a very nice outdoor shopping plaza. Had brunch here during a weekend visit with my son and his girlfriend (both in their 20's). We really enjoyed brunch at Hash Kitchen! We came for what Hash is known for--the Bloody Mary's. The toppings are wild and you really could do brunch with just a blood Mary. Mine was delicious - jalapeño vodka, tajin rim, chile level spicy. 30 toppings to choose from! It was amazing! Our waitress was fantastic and she gave me a small plate so I could stack my toppings (helpful). For breakfast I ordered the fried chicken eggs Benedict served on biscuit. Unfortunately one of my eggs was overcooked (even though I made a point to make sure I asked for lightly poached when I ordered). But no big deal because the other one was fine and it was Sooooo good. I could have used more hollandaise but I like things saucy. My husband ordered carnitas hash. He really enjoyed it. The portions are generous and we both had leftovers. The pic I took of the fried chicken Benedict does not do it justice. It's a huge portion. Again the waitress was great - so friendly. Love the bright and clean aesthetic. The walls are fun to read - my kids had fun reading all the sayings. The Bloody Bar right when you walk in, the DJ, disco ball... just puts you in a good mood! (note, this is not your quiet breakfast place - come here for fun and vibes!) I did not get the bloody bar, but OMG the toppings looked SO good. So impressed. We started with the Cannoli Donuts. Get these. Just do it. They were heaven! I got the Chilaquiles because if they are on the menu, I have to. However, it was a tough choice because the whole menu looks amazing. I got the red and green sauce with these, and they were SO good. Def. recommend. One kiddo got the pancakes and the other got the kid's french toast. The french toast stole the carb show - they were thick and dense and insanely good. Hubby ordered the Chicken Tinga Scrambler - he was halfway through the plate when he realized he was given the Mexicana. Right as he realized it, the server brought out the correct meal and told him she realized the mistake and apologized. So, he got to eat half of the first one (which he did like, as well) and all of his ordered one - that he really liked, too. By the time we were leaving the place was getting full! Hash Kitchen is always a reliable go to. I grab my friends, my stretchy pants, and a booth. It is the perfect Saturday morning - and don't even think about skipping that Bloody Mary bar. It's not that it is a party atmosphere but it's not quiet either so know that going in. I suggest going with friends vs going with grandma. The servers have a great attitude and are happy to help you have the best time. Also, if you've slept in - their after breakfast menus are great as well. Was in town for an event and wanted to give Hash Kitchen a try since we received rave reviews about their Bloody Mary bar. The Bloody Mary bar did not disappoint. There were so many side options to adorn your Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary itself was very tasty and had the right amount of bite (which was adjustable also). The stack of protein pancakes were very generous. The texture of pancakes were more chewy than fluffy probably due to the chia seeds. I really liked the texture, but it may not be for everybody. We also ordered the breakfast burrito, chicken tinga scramble, and the birria nacho. All the food was delicious, but of the three, the birria nacho really stood out. The beef was tender and nachos are puffy and crispy. Lastly, there was a live DJ playing music. Today I visited the Hash Kitchen! I'm not exactly happy about my visit today nor am I mad. I'm just disappointed. Upon entering the restaurant I will say I loved the ambiance. The wallpapers and the lights, the colors and the concept was super nice on the eyes and unique. I loved that on the weekends they have a DJ booth and this place lights up for brunch. What an amazing concept. With the Bloody Mary bar? So many options to choose from and they were huge!!! Very awesome idea to stand out above other brunch spots in the valley. Me and my party were very hungry and excited to see their fun menu. For drinks we got coffee and I got tea. It was a little strange though when asking the server what tea options they had, he looked at me with confusion. Almost as if he never even knew they served tea. Even expressing to me that he didn't even know what teas they had! If he was confused, I was way beyond confused! What a strange interaction.. please servers know your menu. It helped that he came back out and actually brought out the box of teas they offered. I appreciated the approach to fix the confusion. As for food, one of the members in my party had ordered the Birria hash, and she for one was not a fan. She quotes "flavorless". The tortillas were hard and not appetizing. The cheese was also flavorless. Everything tasted so bland and dry. She does not recommend this item either. My second member had ordered the scrambler platter, not impressed either. "Reminds me of a dennys" which is unfortunately mediocre for a brunch restaurant that should stand out for its own flavors. It had flavor to it but honestly could get this same thing from somewhere else both more affordable and more appealing. As for me I ordered the buttermilk pancakes and a side of scrambled eggs. The eggs were just eggs. In facts they were not even warm? Kinda hard and cold. Not fluffy, hard scrambled eggs. Really just not impressed with how dry and plain they were cooked. Maybe some seasoning next time? The buttermilk pancakes were warm, not impressed either. Why are they so chalky and tough? The size is massive and impressive to look at. Cutting through these pancakes were so tough. Even eating them was just so dry and thick. I'm not impressed. These need better flavor, maybe less flour should be used.. I do love the fact that the butter wasn't cold and stuck on! I was able to scoop the butter nicely which is always something I find problematic about pancakes from restaurants. They did something right thank goodness! Presentation with food was beautiful. Made everything look appetizing. But the presentation is unfortunately deceiving for the flavor. The concept is amazing and my party appreciated the effort when it came both the server and manager asking how the service was and what can be done better... thank you Eric for doing your best today. Went to Hash Kitchen with a group of guys as we were celebrating a bachelor party for our buddy. This was our meal before we went to golf. We arrived (without a reservation) and they sat us within 10 minutes, which was great, cause there were 10 of us. The vibe inside almost felt like a club. There was music playing, someone was passing out shots (a promoter promoting some type of liquor), and just overall it was so much fun. My favorite thing definitely had to be the bloody mary bar. They had sooooo many ingredients and toppings to choose from. They bring you the glass and you go and fill it up with whatever you want, no limit at all! Came here on Saturday morning with my family, around 9am. I was expecting long wait time, but thankfully I joined the 5-15 minute waitlist on the Hash Kitchen website. While driving there, I received text updates on my wait list status which I appreciated. Once we arrived and checked in, we were seated immediately with the option of indoor and outdoor seating. We got a nice table outside, because the weather was beautiful but mainly because there was an indoor DJ that was pumping out the beats. There's also their famous Bloody Mary bar. I'm too old for that scene. For our first visit, we thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. We got the cannoli donuts and billionaire's bacon to start. For entrees, we ordered Basic AF, Maso's Breakfast Potato Tacos, Corned Beef Hash, and Banana Split French Toast. The food was great! Saw this place on IG and it looked like something we would love. And we did! #awesome Inside we found a live dj for brunch on a Friday! Dj Kev had me ready to hit the nonexistent dance floor! He played some really good tracks - and a mix of R&B, hip-hop and pop hits. This spot is 100% IG worthy. Not just the decor.. the food too. I ordered a mimosa flight which featured orange, pineapple, blueberry and strawberry mimosas. All good and so was the presentation. They have an awesome Bloody Mary bar if that's your thing. Only thing is they didn't clean up the plate which would have made it even better. It was tasty but because the bread was so thick I needed more syrup which I eventually flagged someone down to get. I added Chicken tinga on top which was quite good, just the right amount of spice and also lean, not at all fatty. Overall a lot of food. The drawback to our meal was the potatoes, these tased old, like they had been siting on the grill for a while, even though we arrived at 11:00. I didn't eat more that two bites of these and would substitute some other side next time. The atmosphere is a youngish, mimosa and cocktail crowd in a very open space that would likely get very loud if it was crowded. The wife found this spot via a FB recommendation back home. So we thought we'd try it out whilst in Arizona on spring break. First and foremost, I'm guessing you're better off getting there early, we arrived at eight and it was pretty empty. But as the morning went on, more and more people rolled in. I ordered the scramble, opting for egg whites, spinach, mushrooms and chorizo. Omelet was prepared perfectly and the potatoes were a nice touch, solid flavor. My wife ordered the protein pancakes and they were delicious. And the order is HUGE. My son got banana split French toast and like the pancakes, the order was massive (see picture). Excellent! My daughter got the berry waffles and everything was great, light fluffy waffle and fresh delicious berries. Our server was in training but you couldn't tell. Attentive friendly and very efficient. And the coffee was great. I think one of the main draws is the Bloody Mary bar with over 50 options. But since I wasn't in a drinking mood, I passed on the drink. Hash Kitchen has been on my Arizona bucket list for quite some time. I visit a handful of times a year, but never quite got the time to swing by until I finally was able to! Boyyyyyy, was it worth the wait. My best friend and I swung by Hash Kitchen for our last meal in Scottsdale before heading home for the weekend and we throughly enjoyed our meal, service, and the ambience. The restaurant had a diverse crowd of patrons which made the environment warm and inviting. There was even a DJ inside playing some great tunes at the perfect volume. Mind you, I have never experienced a DJ at any brunch place I've ever visited in California, so this was a great addition to brunch! While I cannot remember our server's numbers, she was immaculate about checking in on us and bringing our drinks and food as soon as they were ready. We also had the assistant manager, Tyler, himself came over to our table and recommend a few of his favorite items (the Bread Pudding French Toast being his recommendation) and come and check on us throughout the meal, which was really great. It truly felt like the staff was our friends and cared about our experience, which is so unlike anything we had experienced at any other brunch place. We were absolutely floored by the glittery mimosas and the bread pudding French toast, which ended up being our favorite! We ended up devouring the whole thing before our breakfast meals came out. We ended getting an order of the salmon egg Benedict and the California burrito as well. I'm a true fanatic of egg benedicts and i loved their twist on them by using homemade biscuits instead of muffins, it was an appreciated change. My wife and I were looking forward to a unique experience at Hash House, Scottsdale. We got it, but not the one we expected. We were promptly seated, but then waited about 10 minutes with no service. Sure, it is New Years Eve and the restaurant was busy at 9:30 a.m., but not that busy. Lots of staff and empty tables. We started to think we were being snubbed. We were the only African Americans in the place, so you never know. When a white couple and their two kids were seated next to us, and served within seconds, we decided to leave. The staff seemed happy because they wished us happy New Year as we left. We went to Bagels 'n Bialys, up the street, and had a delightful breakfast with drinks.
