We visited for lunch. It was last minute so we stopped in for a quick bite. The restaurant was very nice, the owners friendly, food was delicious, good flavors, I added a touch of salt to the lamb shank but thats it. Also the hummus will have me return for sure.

Hash-O-Nash, is off-the-beaten-path and one of the few- if not the only Middle Eastern restaurant you'll find in these neck of the woods between White Plains and Mamaroneck. Kind of picky falafel and feel not all falafel taste the same. So I use an old NYC, Egyptian spot as my base test, Hash-O-Nash didn't give off a truly classic, falafel taste, that I've grown to love. As I was told all their dishes are prepared from scratch and menu offers a wide selection of traditional Middle Eastern foods, beverages and sweets. Prices are very affordable, considering the location. Service was hospitable, even though it was for my grab and go. It'll be a nice return.

    Vegetable Couscous Pilaf

I've been here a few times and have enjoyed every meal I've had. The stand out dish was the vegetable couscous! On top of the plentiful veggies in the dish, it comes with two other veggies on the side. I highly recommend getting the salad, it's so fresh and delish! We tried their hummus and it was pretty good, wouldn't get it again as their other dips taste much better but it was pretty good. The staff is friendly and I've previously read about them not wearing their masks properly but I've only ever seen them wear their masks properly, even when my group was the only table.

My absolute favorite place for Mediterranean food when I'm back home in New York.

My favorite place when I go back home to New York. Located in a small town called Mamaroneck. Best Mediterranean food it is a bit pricey but worth it. Staff always nice the setting is very perfect for hanging out or even going on a date. It's a must if you are in town

Wow, really delicious, fresh, tasty food. The Fattoush Salad is huge, (as is my friend George so that worked out well). The Hash O Nash Platter is outstanding. Not only do you get a large variety of different dishes, but everything is great. The lamb, chicken and beef were well seasoned and juicy, falafels fresh and eggplant tender and tasty. The staff are friendly and food comes quickly. They have some nice Moroccan, Palestinian, Israeli and other regional wines that go perfectly with the meal. Can't wait to return.

Toum dip to die for and strips if doner on pita chips with tomorrow sauce

Just wow! I had gone there years ago but went today and was very pleasantly surprised by how nicely they did up the interior. With black table cloths and Moroccan lamps and other decorative items, with wooden walls, it really has been significantly upgraded, but that was just the starter. My tongue is still dancing from the Lebanese dumplings and Toum (garlic and yoghurt dip). A gem of a place in a food desert of Mamaroneck filled with copy cat Japanese, Mexican and hamburger joints. if you love food with a taste and authenticity, (I could swear the owners mother was in the back cooking!) Then this is for you!

The two times I've been in, they've brought out samples of thier menu items to try. I've ordered various things on the menu: hummus, lebneh, falafel wraps, falafel platters, baked kibbe platters, the green bean side, etc. All have been amongst the best Lebanese food I've tried. I want to expand and try more things, like the chicken and beef kafta. If you have questions just ask. Certain platters come with different items. Some rice, some salad, etc. Thier pita is fresh and delicious, and comes in different sizes. They have a decent sized dining area for dine-in, and the take-out area is right as you walk in the side door. Here you will also find a grocery area with Lebanese essentials. The selection is sizable, and offers items you won't find in a regular grocery store. I stocked up on spices, and coffee. Prices are reasonable, and portions are generous. I will return every opportunity I get.

I ordered the lamb chops while my husband had the chicken shawarma, and both plates came with rice, vegetables, and a fresh salad with a homemade dressing that was incredibly tasty and unlike anything we've had before. The drinks were homemade too - we had the lemonade and iced tea - and the presentation of everything was beautiful, right down to the mint sprigs in the glasses that added such a nice touch. We were served by the owner, Elias, who was warm, personable, and provided impeccable service the entire time. Even though we didn't order dessert, he surprised us with baklava on the house - delicate flaky layers topped with honey and pistachios that were absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a relaxing place to enjoy great Lebanese food, Beit Zaytoon is definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere is comfortable, welcoming, and not cramped at all.

Then we were served Pita bread; not the soft & fluffy kind but more of a thin pita pocket type. This pita went so well with the spreads! Here is our menu (shared by 3ppl): ~ Baba Ghannouj ($10): outstanding. The smokey flavors were mouth watering. Recommended! ~ Fattoush Salad ($15): very good; fresh veggies with a fresh herb dressing. Another great palate cleanser ~ Samboussek Jibneh (feta cheese dumpling) ($12/4pcs): loved these! The dumplings are deep fried but weren't greasy at all. This was a treat! ~ Lahme Meshwi (grilled filet mignon cubes w.rice & veg) ($40): I thought this dish was a tad bit overpriced but great nonetheless. The filet mignon was so tender and prepared perfectly. The rice and grilled veggies were good also. ~ Kaftan Kebab (grilled minced lamb kebabs w.rice & veg) ($25): the kebabs were very flavorful but could have used a sauce. I ate some with the Baba Ghannouj and it was wonderful. The assorted grilled Vegs were great. Note that they do not serve tap water; must purchase bottled water. Beit Zaytoon is located in a small strip mall, so there is plenty of parking available! Recommended, and I would definitely return to explore other menu items!

Rather than immediately posting a public review, I contacted management privately because I believed they deserved the opportunity to address the situation professionaly. Their initial response was that they would review the incident internally. After I followed up, they specifically offered to send me a complete ingredient list for everything we ordered so I could review it with my healthcare provider. I accepted that offer but, the ingredient list was never sent. Months later, there has still been no meaningful follow-up. My frustration isn't about demanding compensation or proving what caused the reaction. It's about customer care and accountability. Making promises that are never fulfilled leaves the impression that guest concerns only matter until the bill is paid. Once our $471 tab was settled, the commitment to help simply disappeared. The food and atmosphere may attract people, but how a restaurant responds when something goes wrong is what defines its hospitality. Unfortunately, based on my experience, the follow-through did not match the promises made, and I can't recommend a restaurant that handled a serious guest safety concern this way. Its NYC, 1000s of restaurants will charge less serve higher quality ingredients and treat you with greater hospitality, and this place is located in midtown east.
