Always a relief when gas station restaurant workers don't have Pennzoil smeared on their fingers while handling your food and the ladies at Hatch Chicken were hygienically on their game. The small menu is comprised of chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, waffle fries, mac & cheese, and biscuits - the tenders tasted pretty good and were freshly made, but the chicken sandwiches (wrapped in foil) were under a heat lamp on the counter, begging to be eaten before they petrify. "Go grab a sandwich, either spicy or original" she instructed, while cooking up some waffle fries. The buns ended up being pancake-flat...born plump, then losing much of their baby fat under the mini-tanning salon. But the sandwich tasted decent, so maybe it wasn't as old, wrinkled, and decrepit as, for example, myself. The spice-less waffle fries were bland as elevator music so be prepared to dip them in Hatch sauce (blend of mayo, mustard, and hot honey). Mac & cheese arrived in a good sized cup and was very filling, but it amounted to mushy overcooked pasta drowning in a mudslide of Cheez Whiz. Al dente it was not...more like al stracatto. If they put a macaroni and biscuit combo on the menu, it could be called 'Limp Bizkit'. Drinks were mostly Coke products, but surprisingly the home made lemonade and strawberry dragonfruit drinks were very good with organic lemon pulp, organic juice, organic cane sugar. Inside, there's a digital menu board that changes every few seconds and there will be some decent finds. A two piece tender, fries, drink, and biscuit combo was being offered recently for a mere $5 (normally it's $8). So if you're hungry and gassing up at a Rebel station where these Hatch Chicken locations are, you could do worse than to grab some tenders or a sandwich there. read more

TL/DR -- Gas station chicken was very tasty, good sized portions and quick. Would eat again. I was across the street at the medical campus and wanted a quick lunch. I headed to Hatch's because it is super close. I was helped right away and my order was completed very quickly. The staff were friendly and generous with the sauce. I got the 2 tender combo and it was surprisingly a lot of food. I couldn't finish it all. The tenders were good sized and moist and juicy, the original style flavor was good not bland but not overpowering either. The Mac and cheese was a surprisingly big portion for a combo and very creamy with corkscrew noodles that had a good texture. I can see why all the reviews sing its praises, it was delicious. The combo came with a biscuit that was fluffy with crispy edges (my fave) and covered in a sweet butter coating which though looked weird was delicious and the perfect complement to the rest of the meal. read more

Came in after work for a quick to-go bite. I ordered a 8 piece tender combo and a kickin sandwich combo. It came out to $36. For a place inside a gas station, the food isn't terrible. My favorites were the Mac and Cheese and biscuits. The chicken wasn't as crunchy as I like, but still good flavor. The hatch sauce tastes like a spicy honey mustard. I cannot comment on service nor ambiance since I ordered through Door Dash but I can definitely can comment about the food. I ordered the 12 piece chicken tender combo meal which includes 12 pieces of chicken tenders and 2 large sides along with 6 biscuits. The chicken tenders were decent, nothing great. The waffle fries were hard as a rock, inedible, the Macaroni was the best thing they have going for this place. The honey biscuit was also hard as a rock. I do not think I can even give this place a second chance. Too scared to find out what I would get. I wanted to try this place based on the Yelp reviews but I was disappointed and let down. Vegas has a TON of fried chicken restaurants - and some of them are in gas stations. Don't let that deter you! Krispy Krunchy Chicken has a few locations around town inside gas stations and now Hatch is newly open inside this Rebel gas in the Northwest. I was nervous from other reviews here but had a really good experience. They currently have two special deals, a two strip meal for $7 with biscuit, side, and drink, or a $5 chicken sandwich and drink combo. I got the spicy strips for my first visit and they were a good size, crispy and warm, not the juiciest I've ever had but really good considering they use heat lamps here, and not particularly spicy. The waffle fries were bomb, my daughter devoured the biscuit, and I also enjoyed the half sweet-half unsweet tea. I also got their chipotle ranch for dipping and I'd skip getting that again - but the portion size was absolutely massive. Not sure this holds true for every side but I was literally given my meal in a family-size chicken box and it was overflowing with fries. Not that I need more fried food but it was a crazy-good value. Looking forward to coming back for the sandwich and their mac and cheese. read more

Has potential but needs improvements. The biggest issue is that the chicken was tasting old and tough, and wasn't super flavorful, especially the non-spicy. This is the most important thing to get right so that's a problem. The best thing about Hatch is the mac n cheese is the best I've ever had from fast food, I would consider ordering again just for that. Fries were mid, not crispy enough, and concerningly, a number of green ones. I don't care to play solanine poisoning roulette, thanks. The biscuits were not bad, they almost reminded me of when the K*C ones were great, fluffy and buttery. If you like strong, really lemony lemonade like me, you're going to be really disappointed. Hatch's lemonade tastes watered down and way more sugar-forward than lemon. The food is all good--the tenders are actually moist all the way through, the biscuits are soft and always made fresh, and the macaroni doesn't have the texture of cardboard like Popeyes; it's actually creamy. I was really excited when I saw that they were opening during the remodel of the rebel gas station on Cheyenne and Tenaya. The sad thing is it has possibilities, but they just don't deliver. I stopped in Saturday for chicken tenders, got macaroni and cheese and a biscuit. The temperature of the chicken tenders was hot, but they were tough from sitting under the heating lamp. The macaroni and cheese had a crust on it from also sitting under the heat lamp. Yesterday, I thought I'd give it another try and I got a chicken sandwich. I was instructed to get one from the heating bin and even though I pulled it from the back so it would be fresher, it was a bust. The chicken wasn't too bad, but the bun was soggy on the bottom and hard on the top. For a $6 sandwich, I expect a little bit more. I also got a biscuit that was hard as a rock and greasy. The service is mediocre. It seems that the staff cooks up a bunch of food and leave it under the heat lamps. I think the only way you could get a decent meal would be to get there right when they're pulling out a batch of fresh chicken. Other than that, don't waste your time. read more

This is my second time attempting to get food from this location. The first time the food was all cold and I didn't want it. I was just in there. They let me stand there forever. Several people looked at me. I thought maybe they were busy one 1 was counting her drawer not paying any attention. Let me stand there. The other lady saw me behind standing there. I stood there for over 10 minutes Then the Hispanic lady behind says you can go order over there at the main register. There's no sign saying order at the main register. There's a register right there. After the cold food that has been sitting there forever and then this experience, I won't be back and I hope this review reaches people and let them know the kind of quality they are walking into hoping to get good service or service at all.
