Tried this place in recommendation of our Uber driver. Gave rave reviews and said it was a great chicken spot in town. However, I feel like this location can use A LOT more training. First, as we were greeted at the drive through area, the person took awhile to greet us. Wish I could say there was a person in front of us but there was no car to be waiting upon. She finally got on the speaker and was mumbling so low that we had to ask multiple times to speak louder. Second, it took way too long for us to get our food. I kid you not, we were waiting in the drive through for more than 15 minutes. And lastly, when we finally started to eat our food it was WAY TOO SALTY and even burnt!! I mean beyond eatable. Chicken- salty and overly fried. Fries- burnt and salty! You would have thought they were throwing a palm full of salt on the food. The chicken and fries could have been cooked 2 minutes less. Such a waste for the total amount of money spent and time wasted at this particular establishment. I hope the other locations are not the same. read more

I was curious about this place so went it to try it. As soon as I walked in I noticed that items on the menu are similar to Canes . I ordered the six pieces chicken tenders and they were crispy and seasoned well, it comes with fries and a slice of bread and the combo comes with drinks so I got iced tea. The place is so clean and while I was there, this girl I think she was taking drive thru order and it wasn't busy so she was cleaning the wall and making sure that it was shiny! This is my take comparing Gunthrie's Chicken to Raising Canes The chicken tenders here do have a slight edge over Canes in my opinion, the breading is crispy & well coated throughout the whole tender, chicken is definitely seasoned & juicy, slightly over salted for my taste but regardless very good. Texas toast is good however Canes is more buttery and has more of a pillowy inside texture. The crinkle french fries here at Gunthrie's are salted well and have a crispier texture which I prefer over Canes. The coleslaw was creamy and delicious. The signature sauce is very similar to Canes sauce however Canes sauce has more of a zing to it, but if you like Canes sauce you'll like Gunthrie's sauce. Value is pretty decent in this economy, $15.49 (before tax) for their big box combo that comes with 6 tenders, a large drink, toast, fries, coleslaw & 2 sauces. Overall I still prefer Raising Canes over Gunthrie's, but if you want some delicious crispy chicken tenders I definitely recommend this spot. read more

Its slightly greasier and the breading is a little thinner you can tell its made to order which i believe it the same as canes. the fries are way better than canes but the toast isnt s good as canes. Guthrie's Golden Fried Chicken Fingers (their full title) - is it really any different than Zaxby's or Cane's? No, these identical triplets were all born in the Deep South and each has a miniscule menu centering around some decent-tasting fried chicken tenders and lackluster pre-frozen fries. All three offer the same exact combo - chicken fingers, fries, buttered toast, coleslaw, and drinks from the Coke family. Guthrie's does have some pretty good home made iced tea as an option, sweet or unsweetened. Though the coleslaw seems to have a bit of a chemical preservative aftertaste to it, at least their $13 Original Box comes with five small boneless chicken fingers with dipping sauce. Or if you want just chicken only, there's a 12 piece bucket for $20. Guthrie's is the kind of fast food choice you might make while driving on an Interstate past a Travel Center of America rest stop, with no town in sight for 75 miles...but maybe not here in Las Vegas with so many quality chicken restaurants to choose from. Overall the food is mediocre at best, so the only Guthries I ever really appreciated were singers Arlo (City of New Orleans) and his father Woody (This Land Is Your Land), both of whom protested social injustice and pre-frozen crinkle cut fries. read more

The fried chicken here is outstanding! Seriously some of the best chicken I have ever had, my family agrees. Service was wonderful, I'm surprised they are not more busy. They have a drive-through in a very clean casual restaurant with plenty of seating. The fried chicken and french fries was absolutely delicious, as we're at their house made dipping sauces. I was driving past Guthrie's Chicken and decided to stop by to see what they had to offer. When entering I immediately notice the restaurant was empty and extremely clean (inside and out). I ordered the "original" box which comes with tenders, fries, Texas toast and a drink. If you're a fan of Raising Canes you'll definitely love Guthrie's chicken. Seeing that the menu items as well as pricing is virtually identical. If I had to be precisely accurate, I would say canes has an uncanny resemblance to Guthrie's chicken, giving the fact that the Guthrie's Chicken franchise was established first. And they have absolutely no problem whatsoever with letting the customers know that they are the originators with bold statements on the walls of the restaurant like... "THE ORIGINAL CHICKEN FINGER SPECIALIST" and "OFTEN IMITATED. NEVER DUPLICATED". The customer service was fine. I'm telling you this is the best one out of the chicken fingers wars. This is a 40 minute one way drive to my house when I got about 10-100 other chicken fingers options , I'll take Guthrie's anytime. Just for the fact they have a bucket option to buy their fingers is winning for the family. Worth $40. Side note, second time I came in, it was probably one of the cleanest fast food restaurants I've ever seen! No joke Please please support this spot. First of all I went to the website to comment privately but your website is also garbage. I wanted to try this place! Sadly, I didn't get to try it and will never be back or order online. This locations employees are rude and unpleasant. We arrived at dinner time 6pm there was no one in the drive thru or inside the restaurant. We waited a while for someone to even acknowledge us to place and order. 1 person was running back and forth from the drive thru to the kitchen. (We didn't see anyone in the drive thru) On her second trip said I'll be just a min. Another employee walked from the back side of the store, I'm assuming the restroom and side eyed us and walked in the back without a word spoken. At that point it wasn't worth spending our money at this establishment. We drove several miles to Caine's which I'm sure is your biggest competitor. Line around the building and fast service with hot and correct food. I guess we will keep driving several miles to spend our money for a place that wants our business. read more

Wow wasn't sure what to think. Happened to pass by and decided to give it a try and compare to you know who since it's basically the same menu. The tea is fabulous! They have both sweet and unsweetened. And I have to say I think I love this tea now! Very clean tasting. The Chicken coating has a darker color. The flavor was similar and very good! Not greasy and cooked to perfection! crispy! The slaw was good has a bit of a kick almost like horse radish flavor. The sauce has more of a mustard taste but also very good and the homemade ranch is really good. The toast has more of a garlic flavor also good. The fries are different they are crinkle but fatter. Flavor is good and love the option of the ranch for the fries. So overall wow not sure I can choose one over the other but definitely will be back it. First time here and service was terrible! Visited 6/17/25 @ around 8:30pm, the younger Caucasian cashier was very rude & had no sense of urgency. She took my friend's order , got her drink request wrong mind you they only offer about 5-6 options. Then immediately after walked away without even greeting or addressing my requests as I waited at the counter to place my order. I waited approximately 3 mins before I had to call her over to place my order or I would've been eating after my friend in which ended up happening. She then asked me for my drink & got my drink order wrong as-well. We simply ordered teas--one sweetened, one not sweetened at all! Got both wrong. To be fair we were the only party they were actively serving as we entered there was only one family who were wrapping up their dinner. They asked for refills and they too had to wait & get the attention of the cashier which was only gained due to someone entering the door. Overall all the food was decent crispy chicken tenders larger portions, Canes with a $1-2 discount. Their kids meal is 2 tenders and a generous amount of fries, fries had an aftertaste maybe old grease but other than poor service decent food. Vibes of this establishment was very modern/ grab-n-go. Very new chicken finger spot near the intersection of Cheyenne and Simmons in North Las Vegas. It definitely gives me Canes vibes if I'm being honest, I thought the chicken was definitely more seasoned and better cooked than Canes. They do have a signature sauce, which does taste similar to the Canes sauce and if you want something like ranch or barbecue, they also have other options for you to try. The fries was a tossup for worst... As far as the coleslaw I will I will say here is far better in my opinion. The price is also very competitive to Canes. The Customer Service was very fast and everyone was friendly. We got our food to go as far as the ambience and decor goes. There was a lot of information regarding the history of Guthrie's. So I had been waiting for this place to open for a bit after they broke ground. This is a tough location due to it being nestled behind a gas station. You can miss it. They do chicken fingers similar to several other shops nearby. I ordered a snack box. Here's the breakdown Chicken 4/5. They feel a bit small. Bigger than tenders from Popeyes or KFC. Seasoning is good and breading is consistent. French fries 4/5: when fries are big, you get a bit more potato. They fill more like wedges but have a good form. Sauce 5/5: Balanced sauce. It works well with the both the chicken and fries. No toast with the snack box. I see there are bigger boxes on the menu. I'll do something bigger next time. Store is clean and staff seem friendly. They need more foot traffic though. It was very slow for a 1pm on a Thursday. Hopefully, this helps them out. A solid five out of five looking at the whole picture. 4/5 if only looking at the food. read more

This is the worst chicken finger experience I've ever had in my life . I don't even normally write reviews for places but I had to for Guthrie's! I ordered the 4 finger combo & everything tasted old/expired including the half & half tea. The chicken fingers were small and flimsy and not fresh & tasted stale . I could have went without the bread & My fries seemed to be the only freshest thing in the combo , but still had an unpleasant taste . I even paid the extra 60cent for honey mustard, what a waste & a fat L I took for dinner today . $14 and some change down the drain. I had to come home to heat up some canned chili on the stove to make chili cheese fries with the fries that I picked at! - just so I can still have something to eat since the fries were somewhat decent... that still didn't do any justice .
