I loved the food, but I felt a little deceived. The menu said that the sandwich came with kale slaw, but it was unclear that they meant it was on the sandwich. Finally had time to try this! Sooo it gets pretty busy with wait times when you come here during busy hours like dinner. I suggest order ahead of time! I had to walk out and order on DoorDash to avoid waiting in store. I had to come back! I got the tender meal with fries. So I've tried other chicken in town and I honestly wasn't that impressed. The chicken was good but the sauce wasn't impressive. The sauce tasted like a ketchup mayo mix or something! Chicken was tender but not juicy. It didn't have much of a crunch either. Maybe because it was sitting out for a while. Fries were okay...I like the pickles! Coleslaw was okayyyyy again I wasn't really impressed with anything. It was just mediocre. We came in for the Dave's Hot Chicken day and it was actually well organized. The reward section has your separate QR code and I like that you can choose the level of heat To your preference. The perfect level of spice was the hot it definitely had a kick to it but it wasn't overbearing. The piece of chicken was nice and thick and juicy and had really good flavoring. I always ask for their extra special sauce on the side. I would say that this is a step up from Chick-fil-A and the quality is really yummy. Service was pretty standard nothing to write home about. Burrrrr I stooped by Dave's today for a quick chicken fix. The staff was polite and very engaging and I appreciate the cashier showing genuine interest in how I was doing today. I love all the bold illustrations on the wall and the music was a vibe. The a/c was on full blast and I was freezing. I'm sure in another month I'll retract that statement. The tenders are massive however, the sugary salty seasoning was a bit too much for my palate. I ordered mild in fear of medium being too hot based off the cashiers recommendation. I really like the ideal of pickles served on the side. I devoured them. I didn't see the two packets of sauce hidden under the paper until I tossed the extra food I didn't consume. I'm unsure if the sauce was put there in error but as a first time guest that was a missed opportunity on my behalf. Delicious Came for the cauli bites and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! we only tried the medium flavor because I wasn't to sure how hot their "Hot" they don't have ranch but I used the hot sauce and honey and it's was amazing! the crinkle fries were crispy and well seasons and I loved the cold dill pickles on the side. The absolute best chicken I've ever had. I usually order mild but tried the medium today. So delicious and just at the point of being too hot for me. The perfect bite is adding a squeeze of sauce and pickle slice to a bite of chicken. It's a literal explosion of flavor and the chicken is so juicy. No bread needed. My work team and I came here for a lunch meeting- it was my first time! The seating inside is limited but we were able to seat 7 people comfortably. I ordered to slider and chicken strip meal- Damn! I love this location of Dave's hot chicken. They're usually super busy but super quick and sincere. My favorite are the sliders. You can choose your spice bubble on the chicken. Dave's Hot Chicken is a chain of casual restaurants that offer chicken tenders in 7 levels of heat from no spice all the way up to reaper. You get your tenders with fries or as a slider. They also offer other sides and milkshakes. The heat level runs about a level hotter than what you'd expect. Also the size of the sliders are much larger than any slider I've ever had. I thought the slider seemed more like a full size sandwich. I tried "HOT" because I usually enjoy spicy food. The Hot was hotter than I enjoy. I can't imagine anyone enjoying an extra hot or a reaper. Somehow I managed to eat the slider. I do have to say that it wasn't just hot but also was made with delicious flavors. The chicken was also cooked to perfection. We also tried macaroni and cheese and the cheese fries. The macaroni wasn't bad but for some reason we both thought the cheese fries were tastier. After one slider and some of the sides I was very full. The food really was better and bigger and spicier than what I was expecting. I would recommend going with medium level heat or less. read more

Well, I waited for quite some time to finally take my chance at Dave's Hot Chicken and I must say I was honestly a bit disappointed! I can't quite put my finger on it, but while Dave's touts having mouth watering chicken, it would be quite hard for the mouth to water for all the chili powder! Now, breading on a tender is one thing, and I love chicken that is breaded. However this was not breading - it was powder. The powder was so compressed that it looked like breading; but it just *poofed* as soon as you touched it. The service was alright, did a pick up order and the employees did not acknowledge me when I was waiting for my order. I had to watch someone else go up and mention having an online/web order before I was even helped. It's a restaurant that pushes fast food with fast food service times. The ambience was nice for what it was but nothing to really write home about. Unfortunately I do believe that this has ended my quest for the Dave's Hot Chicken near me, as I was definitely let down.
