Underwhelming!!!! Have tried to get here a couple of times! Today no wait so we gave it a try!! One and done!!!!! Chicken sandwich- no taste. Also why would you cut up the chicken before you put it on the bun?? Honestly it looked just like a chic-FI-a sandwich Chicken avocado chopped salad Average. The best quality is that they didn't over do the dressing. The chicken on top was over cooked and tasteless! I went here on a Saturday for some brunch and the whole experience was just alright. I ordered three pancakes - chocolate chip, cinnamon roll, and buttermilk. All were delicious but were super sweet, I needed to down a lot of water afterwards. The Monterey Benedict was cold and just average. Our waitress was not the best either. Not enthusiastic and had an annoyed attitude. I would come back here as a last choice but since it's located on Main St, there are so many better options to go to. read more

Definitely a cute place for brunch! It seems like it's always popping here, I've tried coming here for early and late brunch twice on a Saturday and there's been a wait both times. I was okay eating at the bar though so was seated right away. Our server was super nice and friendly too! I ordered the 3 egg omelette with mushrooms, tomatoes and cheddar cheese. It came with hash browns and your choice of toast w/ butter, which they also gave me a little jar of Concord grape jam with when I asked. The omelette was a bit underwhelming because it felt like the eggs weren't very seasoned. The hash brown was shaped like a patty and was seasoned well though! I also ordered the gin and juice which had a good balance of booze and flavor. Everything else was very mediocre, couldn't eat the sausage it was very bland & rubbery. My friend didn't enjoy her bowl but she did like the hash browns. Visit Date: December 29, 2018 This could very well be my last YELP review for 2018. My friend wanted to try Hatch for a girly date without our kids, so I got there in the afternoon to get us a table. We had to put our names on a list so I gave my phone number and when our table was ready we were notified. The only thing I didn't like was the wait, but who really ever wants to wait for a table lol. Our server was really nice. She was very accommodating and knowledgeable about some substitutions since I'm trying to be gluten free and dairy free by dietary choice. She didn't pressure us to hurry up with our table either although our bill was on the small side and she may have been able to have a better table with a higher bill. I got some coffee with almond milk and an omelette with veggies and greens on the side instead of hash browns. My skinny friend who doesn't have to work hard to stay skinny got the loaded breakfast burrito. (lucky her lol) For me to be thinner and not even all that thin I have to put in a lot of effort. My food was fresh & good and healthy. My coffee was good too. One day it would be nice to come here for drinks if I can take public transportation or have someone drive me. Wow there are terrible restaurants, and then there's this place. Made a reservation for Mother's Day. They sat 13 people at a table for 8 and when we said that's an uncomfortable squeeze, she said that's the best we can do (then don't take a reservation for 13). Now, the food came out scattered and most items were cold. Considering cold eggs and potatoes are gross, we sent them back in. Before the food came back out the hostess (manager?) (not very friendly) came over and said we have 10 minutes left to eat. While the reservation was 1.5 hours, she came over an hour into our seating. Never feels good to be rushed out of a restaurant before your food comes. This person had mentioned the clock when we sat down too. Not sure what her obsession was with rushing us out before our hour and a half was up (as I said, she was not very friendly). The food eventually came and it was mediocre (being nice considering they were busy and maybe had an off day?). There are much better breakfast spots in Huntington than this place. The saga continues... they advertised a Mother's Day promotion of a free mimosa for mom. Despite 4 moms at the table, they charged us for the only two mimosas ordered. When we questioned why, they said the person wasn't a mom. Not sure why they would think that or how they could possibly know without asking... but anyway. They said they would take it off the bill. The bill comes back and there is still a charge for a mimosa. The response was, the same person drank both. So despite being entitled to 4 free mimosas, and only ordering 2, they tried to charge us for 2 and then 1. It's either free or it's not. If it's not free, don't advertise it's free... that's usually what people refer to as false advertising. TLDR, if you like being put on a clock to eat, being constantly reminded about the clock, not getting served until the clock is almost up, being served cold food, being charged for things that's are advertised as free, and being talked down to, this place is for you! If not, then go up the block and enjoy your meal. Fortunately for this place, Yelp makes me give one star. read more

After fasting for bloodwork, there's nothing better than finding the right place to break fast and indulge in really good food. I'm still not comfortable with indoor dining during a pandemic so I was really glad we were able to order takeout and enjoy our brunch in the safety of our car because well car dates are our new normal lol. They packed everything nicely and provided utensils and condiments. We ordered through Yelp and the pick up was smooth and easy. We ordered the Benedict Arnold, Monterey Benedict, and Apple Pie Pancakes. Everything was cooked perfectly and we enjoyed every single bite and was really satisfied that we finally got to try the Hatch. The pumpkin French toast, oh my word - absolutely delicious! My ONLY issue is that it was a tad too sweet - too decadent, I didn't need all of it. The service was good and the ambiance was fine. They are super busy and you might be waiting long - they don't take reservations but we got in a lot earlier than we were initially told. Looked like a cute place, had a busy weekday crowd. Lots of staff. My child and I came for breakfast. Children's menu was quite limited so we ordered off the regular menu. The meal ordered for the kid was French toast (who doesn't offer french toast for kids at a breakfast place ?!). It was a kid friendly concept and good and the child ate most of it (9 yrs old) which I guess means that it wasn't a huge portion but a large portion price. Our server was curt, dismissive and neglectful. Our simple drinks took forever while I watched the bartender twiddle thumbs waiting for orders to come in bc our server didn't put the order in. I asked for a cup of ice bc my drink didn't have any for some reason which I waited and waited for and then finally a busser got it for me. I only got eggs over easy and a bowl of fruit. The eggs were cooked on a dirty grill with burnt butter. The Strawberries tasted like they were cut with a dirty knife--like onions. The blackberries were tasty until I saw the mold. The blueberries still had stems attached and were measly little things and then I saw the mold on them too. I only gave 2 stars bc the other staff was attentive and my kids meal was good. Unfortunately, our experience at the Hatch was ruined by the manager who was very unprofessional. My friend and I were sitting at a table for two and were only there from 10 am to 11:45pm. We ordered two entrees and 4 cocktails ($117 including tip). The manager came up to us 3 separate times (5 min in between each time) asking if we would be done soon (we were finishing our margaritas which were $13 each). We said "yes, we are just finishing our drinks" each time. She also kept yelling out loud "we need to clear out these tables!" Then would proceed to stare at us. It was stressful and uncomfortable. I understand turnover is important in a restaurant, but being rushed and kicked out after spending $117 for 2 people is unacceptable. Besides the manager aggressively rushing us, we enjoyed our time. Our waiter was amazing and so were the food and drinks. I am really disappointed that our visit ended the way it did. Management, you were successful in rushing us out. Wow! What a breakfast I just had at hatch. I was immediately blow away by the vibrant colors and fun decor. Makes you feel like you're in an egg. They even have a life size huggy bear honey painted on the wall. The bartender Charles was super cute and friendly. He was very knowledgeable about the food and gave great recommendations. Get the corned beef hash and the pineapple upside down pancake! By then end of my meal I was having so much fun (partially to the mimosa flight) that I didn't want to leave. Very happy with the measures Hatch is taking regarding COVID. The staff wore gloves and masks, the menu was a QR code, packed plastic utensils and cups were given out, and all the tables were spaced apart. They even provide a plastic bag for you to put your mask in. Make sure to have a reservation beforehand if you're dining in! All the servers were really polite too and checked in on my table frequently. I got the Country Breakfast Skillet ($10.75) and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes ($8.95) for the table. The Country Breakfast Skillet was extremely filling and the restaurant does not skimp on any ingredients. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes tastes as good as it looks! I liked how strong the lemon flavor was and the pancakes were so fluffy. TLDR: 5 stars for the COVID measures Hatch has in place and the food tastes as good as it looks in pictures! read more

I would take one star off, but that's ok. I was actually grateful to be sitting in air conditioning for a while since we haven't had it in a few days, because of the power outages from the storm earlier this week. Finally our waitress came and I ordered the Sunshine. I don't normally like margaritas, but this is different but tastes almost similar, it's not that bad actually. The menu is online and accessible through a QR code, but a physical laminated menu is available. The decor is bright and colorful but not too loud, lots of natural lighting from the large windows. Disappointed in the food. I got the 3 Egg Omelet with hash brown and rye bread. The omelet was overcooked and flavorless. The has brown was an inch thick puck. Came here last minute after being in the area. They Re doing reservations only, so I put my name down and waited a few minutes, but not long at all for my table. I prefer outdoor seating and had a shaded spot on the side of the building. There is also a 1 hour limit for all tables. I got the eggs Benedict's with tomato and bacon. The food came out very fast! The hollandaise was delicious and the eggs were cooked perfectly. It say on top of toasted ciabatta bread. I also had a mimosa with my meal. This place is a breakfast gem. Me and my family visited here, upon walking in we were greeted & immediately seated. The decor is playful like a child's play room. Very clean and nice. We ordered the eggs Benedict, flight of pancakes, breakfast burrito & 2 regular stacks of pancakes. They pair the food with a selection of mimosas & a variety of different drinks. We also got the pancake trio where you can try several pancakes. We opted for the strawberry shortcake, peanut butter, and chocolate chip. They were just ok. Without the toppings, they are nothing special. Not very fluffy. Our waitress was really great despite the big crowd on Mother's Day. It is loud, but good for groups (and kids!). read more

My friends and I were excited to come here to celebrate a birthday. What better to celebrate than over brunch? One of my friends put her name on the wait. We came in a few minutes after we received the text that our table was ready. Because we were late, they gave our table up and we had to put our name on the wait again. Not having enough glasses gave the impression that things weren't running smoothly behind the scenes. Things got better from here which was good. We ordered a pancake flight to split amongst us. I love the idea of a pancake flight and find the idea to be unique and intriguing. These particular pancakes were a bit lackluster but it was a good dish to split and do a tasting with. I ordered the Charleston Benedict. I normally go with the classic but was in the mood to try a twist on the classic. The chicken was extremely crispy and held its own very well. I bet it would be great on a sandwich. When the menu says "hash browns" they really mean "tater tots." The tots were also very crispy. My poached egg had been cracked so I didn't have the pleasure of bursting it open but it was still very good and it all worked well together. This is a restaurant that I would want to give another chance to. I feel that we came on an off day and had we come on a different day, things would have been different and we would have had a better experience. Great spot for brunch! Made reservations for two on Sunday At 2:15, I would recommend going earlier if you plan on having drinks as the bar closes at 3pm. Very Covid-19 friendly, everyone is spaced out there hand sanitizing stations throughout the restaurant. Ordered the Monterey Benedict and it was delicious and the perfect portion. Paired it with a bourbon spiced ice coffee that wasn't as strong as I liked but still yummy. My friend ordered the Sail Away tini which was delicious so I'd recommend getting that ! Only reason I won't be giving them 5 stars is because the service took quite a bit of time, and by the time we wanted to order more drinks the bar was closed. But our waiter was very friendly. Obviously during this pandemic you want to go somewhere that seems trustworthy, that you've heard are taking safety measures to make your dining in experience an enjoyable one, and that was everything I heard about hatch. So we said yeah let's go try it it out. We locked in reservations on a weekday for 2 just in case more people decided to try this gem of a place. The food? Delicious, the service? Impeccable. And the drinks? Absolutely delicious. The inside of this place is super cool, they have a great sign and a bar area as well. I ordered the Benedict Arnold and got a side of bacon. The food was cooked perfectly, the eggs Benedict were perfectly drippy when cut open. I really enjoyed the food here and I will be back to try more of the things on the menu. read more
