Apparently this issue was more of a "Toyota…read moreCorporate" issue where if something doesn't fall to them being forced to updating it, they leave it up to the privately owned certified Toyota Service departments to decide if they need to replicate the problem in order to fix it. I'm sure this gets Toyota Corporate from having to pay out more money for issues that happen in fewer cars/models. In any case, I was given a link to report to NCDS where they arbitrate for free with Toyota (and other manufacturers). After they filed with Toyota Corporate I finally got a call from Toyota willing to then give permission for me to get the needed software updates before the case went into the "settlement date". I agreed to get the software updates at Toyota of San Bernardino and that was completed, but even when I dropped my car off there, it took a lot of having to supply all the information from Toyota Corporate for them to ensure I wasn't charged for it. No one even looked up from their computers or said anything. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that somehow they didn't hear me, see me, or see my vehicle pull in. I said "Hi" again, and no one still even looked at me. Instead, a gentleman with a long gray beard just pointed at the building next door and said I needed to go there. I waited for my appointment, and saw another person with a hat and curly hair come in and out. My appointment was at 3PM, and the receptionist said the person who would be giving me my quote was not in yet. I waited until after my appointment time, and decided to cancel and find a better place. It just so happened that the gentleman with the hat and curly hair was the one who was supposed to meet me at 3PM. Overall, this place needs an overhaul on customer service. There's a dozen places in the area to get your vehicle fixed, all with similar pricing and expertise. So why waste your time and money dropping off your vehicle at a place where you are not even given a greeting, and appointments are not adhered to.

George, the new manager, goes way above and beyond to please his customers and I love his positive attitude, which is a very nice change for the better and not at all characteristic of the former management's style, so kudos to him! And the good news is that George is totally focused on management and customer relations and supervision of his technicians, and he doesn't do any of the actual repair work himself, so he doesn't have that grumpy, overworked, and irritated attitude that you will find in so many service stations. He is super friendly and super positive and goes out of his way to help. I was struggling so hard trying to get my car smogged, and George actually took time out of his busy schedule to encourage me and advise me on that, and he even volunteered to scan my car's system periodically to assess my progress in getting my vehicle's monitors to clear. Wow. So unbelievably nice! I actually think that it was his positive attitude and his encouragement that kept me going and kept me from feeling totally defeated. And it was that infectious positive spirit which enabled me to finally succeed in passing the smog test. His guys have also voluntarily filled my tires whenever they have gotten low. They will go the extra mile for you, which is refreshing and super impressive for such a small neighborhood shop! I told George over the phone what the problem was and he was able to diagnose it over the phone. This is after my car sat there for 10 months due to me believing it wasn't fixable. George got my car back on the road in 3 days. Ever since that happened we've been coming here. They will fix your car without it being too pricey. Clay, the sales rep, was already texting me before the appointment and put me at ease when I was worried about my credit score. I arrived early and Clay was happy and ready to go. Think of him like Ted Lasso but car salesman instead of football coach. Lol He was incredibly patient and kind. He is new to this dealership but I think he's doing a superb job. Whatever questions you have, if he doesn't know, he will find out. Which I actually prefer! I don't need some person talking circles around me and being super pushy. I don't enjoy that kind of yapping. We shared many laughs and it didn't feel rigid and forced. This is my most positive car buying experience yet and I am grateful. We had to wait a bit for the car to charge so that would be my only gripe but that doesn't take away from the amazing customer service. Clay made sure we had snacks and water while we waited. I believe Suzan was the finance manager and she was awesome. Super chill and transparent and didn't make me feel uncomfortable or pressured to get anything additional. Thank you Clay and Suzan! Wow, wow, wowzers!!!…read more "I enjoyed my experience at this dealership," is not a phrase I thought I would say. Yes, I've experienced good oil changes before but this one...it was superb! After making the same day appointment with Mike over the phone and being greeted by Lauren, it was a smooth experience. Lauren went over what I needed done for my vehicle and then showed me to the waiting area. The main waiting area had water, snacks and even dog treats. There was a second quieter waiting area near three partitioned work cubicles for doing work, or just if you needed the safe, quiet space. I get overwhelmed and the quiet sensory space was perfect for me. The bathrooms were nearby and there was a vendor who came by with fresh fruit which was perfect for a warm sunny day. I didn't partake that time but maybe next time. There was also free popcorn in another area of the dealership which I saw my neighbors enjoy. Time went by fast and soon Lauren was coming to get me. She sent me a link for the complimentary inspection. I didn't think anything of it because I had received complimentary inspections before from other oil change places and they were usually PDFs of what the technician did. NOPE. Spreen Subaru excels at blowing your mind! When I opened the link, it was the multi-point vehicle inspection and photos...but wait there's more! There was a...video?!?! Yep. Alonso, the technician showed me a comprehensive and transparent video where he paid attention to detail to my car. He measured all four brake pads and all four tires tread depth! He even cleaned the engine oil filter housing surface before twisting the new filter on. What a pro move! The video was so clear that it even gave me total peace of mind about a minor cosmetic scrape I knew I had underneath--I could see for myself that all the mechanical components were untouched even though I had scraped some of the protective undercoating off. My mind was blown! This dealership is TOP-TIER!!! I forgot to mention, I purchased a package for my oil change and tire rotation and the price was extremely fair. They also provided me with a military discount for my military service! This is the kind of review I love to write because you can support a local business and give them the recognition they deserve! It's evident that the employees take pride in their work. The level of detail the report gave me reassured me that my vehicle is mechanically safe and healthy. After they work on my car my abs light came on, they told me it was a sensor they needed to replace (sensors are next to the rotors by the way) the guy told me to bring my car and compromise to fix it at no extra cost. Days kept passing and he never contact me about my car being ready when i finally got tired he said my abs module had to be replaced and he was not going. To be responsible. Now this is a 1600 job that I did not need to begin with until this place messed up my car, they have ZERO accountability. If I did not show up to get my car they would have keep holding my car until they felt like it, they never communicated anything.

Find a trust worthy Mechanic…read more This is going to be long so I hope your in for it I know for a fact they regularly place "mechanic's lien" on many vehicles and sell them off for profit. (They steal cars form people by charging more than owner can afford, they then sell those cars for profit) The name of this place should be called "Dewy , Cheatum, and How" I was blindsided how friendly and service oriented they seemed to be... However , my issue was not diagnosed correctly initially and once it was taken in for repairs the issue was never addressed correctly. 9 months from the initial time I left this Truck with Salerno's and I still have a misfire in Cylinder 6 The whole ordeal started 10/28/2024, when I decided to trust Salerno's with the head gasket repair... I know this a labor intensive job so I waited patiently, the head gasket job too two months to complete . Immediately after taking possession of my vehicle I got a check engine light ( I was not comfortable going back to Salerno's ) so I got a second opinion from the car Dr of Loma Linda . The car Drs told me that Salernos had installed the wrong coil packs and did not replace a broken coolant Temp sensor. I went back to Salerno's with the quote from the Car Dr. and dropped my vehicle off again to be repaired properly the next day 1/5/2025 I got my vehicle back again another two months later and was charged $819.24 for the mistakes they make . Fool me twice maybe but not a third time , at this point I refuse to ever trust Salerno's When I went to pick up my truck the second time it had multiple new scratches scrapes and dings all over the body and around the hood where tool were dropped in it (I pointed it out to the denial of owner Mark). He also assured me the second 1/2 of the coil pack was correct even though there is no firing order noted on it . This business changed me over $6,500 , and clearly they are not a quality shop. There lack of knowledge and ability should be a concern to everyone looking for anything more then an oil change. With that being said, got out to check the car and noticed the bumper was not Connected to the side panel and figured they might of just forgot to connect them so I pop the hood to find out they broke the clips to bumper and is also missing a plastic cover.
