I was going to let this go but no...I'll write an honest review on my deplorable encounters. I recently had a new addition and require a new car so since I've been taking my cars for service here since 2011 I thought I'd give Buick a chance and found a certified pre-owned I liked. We talk trade and sight unseen I get a ridiculously low appraisal on my car. Understandable . So I bring it in. This is where it gets interesting . Used car appraiser comes over and rudely says "Name" as I'm tending my baby. I jokingly say "is this the booking counter?" Because that seriously what it felt like . He replies" This is how we start the used car process". I dismiss his tone and continue . He comes back a half hour later and gives me another lowballing trade that was 300$ higher. I begin to show him KBB and NADA appraisals and tries to tell him if he met me anywhere in the middle I was willing to sign today but he wouldn't even let me finish a sentence and continued with talking points . He must of cut me off 4 times. When he told me if I didn't like his number that I should consider selling my car to Carmax it was confirmed I was wasting my time here. Never have I ever had a dealer talk business AWAY. He then began continuing to say "I'm trying to discount the car they're selling but I'm demanding top dollar for my trade. We never even talked price on the other car in fact the car wasn't even talked of at this point. Talking points.... 2 weeks prior to this incident one of the servicemen crossthreaded my lug on my car . I know this because they've been the only people besides 2 other occasions to rotate the tires on my car. The shop I had prior rotate my tires asked who did my tires last because the lugs were over torqued and one is almost stripped. When I had my car in last for service James tells me one of my lugs is stripping out. I tell him what the other mechanic said and his reply was literally verbatim: " These things happen on these foreign cars. Those lugs can be like butter". This was their way of denying any responsibility for a stripped lug bolt. Now I sadly have to find another service shop because they've lost my trust. As for their sales department I won't badmouth ALL of the sales staff but the ones I dealt with were horrible hence I'm taking my business elsewhere and will never come back here. read more

Please save your time and look elsewhere to service your vehicles. I serviced my Buick here for almost two years. I trusted the service staff there up until this past week. My car was at the Hatfield Buick service for 9 days. It took the service technicians 9 days to figure out that my car had a wiring issue. The wiring issue alone cost me almost $900.00. I paid trusting that my car would be fine after that. BUT NO. 3 days later, my check engine light sparked again. I took my car to another Buick dealership, as Hatfield was completely booked. Come to find out, my coolant and oil are leaking, my thermostat is stuck open, and battery acid has melted my battery sensor (they replaced my battery a few months ago too). These are obvious damages and Hatfield Buick returned me the car (after 9 days of having it) assuring me that their final inspection found no other damages. I feel scammed and will never return to Hatfield Buick. When I called to get another inspection due to a job done wrong, I was given an apology and was told that I can drop off the car for more days as they are short staffed by one technician. An apology is not fixing my car nor reimbursing me for a job done terribly wrong. Please save yourself the time and go somewhere reliable for your service needs. read more

My wife took her 2007 GMC Yukon XL in because of four problems. Three minors and could potentially be major. 1) Signal light would sometime activate high beam when signalling right 2) Remote control no longer work 3) TPMS no longer work 4) Truck like knocking sound at high speed and check-engine lights coming on twice. Now when you bring a car into dealer, you expect retail pricing. I understand that. I have no problem when they quote me $980 the fix the first three. I asked for a breakout of each of the items. I was provided with about $150 for the remote control, around $190 for the multi-switch, and the rest for four TPMS. To be frank, the multi-switch, I can do myself. I don't know how to replace the remote, so I said OK, for $150 replace the remote. Now here are my main beef. One, the final bill came out to be $230. I find that really annoying. You don't quote one price and then charge another. Two, they did not even look at the one that I had the biggest concern with, the check-engine light. I had to press them to at least give me the fault codes. The codes: misfire, lean fuel, missed communication, there were a couple of others. Now, my wife did bring the car in with low oil. A message came less than two days ago to tell her to add oil, but she forgot. The technician suggests that all of these are due to low oil. So I need to have the oil change for around $80.00 first, before he continues. I highly doubt the oil is the problem since I just changed the oil about two months ago. If he would have bother to push the DIC, he would see that the oil read, life at 80%. Net-net, not a good place. read more

recently bought a GMC YUKON XL. Kris, the internet sales rep was very accommodating and made the process easy. We were coming in from Las Vegas as none of the dealerships out there had the one we wanted, and we were headed to Palm Springs anyways, so I saved myself the hassle of paying for a delivery fee into LV. Hopefully not having a local dealership won't come back to bite me, but we'll see. Kris had done all of the pre-paperwork and she and I corresponded accordingly so that when it came time for us to get it done, we were in and out in 45 min. She even came in on here day off which was above and beyond. We traded in a Traverse and forgot we had a fender bender 4 years prior so it affected our TRADE-IN which was unexpected but we understood... I did wish we were able to review "value" for it more as they came back with a price and it was like "take it or leave it" ... we were in an odd position so we "took it"... one of those things that was tough to foresee. First of all, I've bought a lot of vehicles from several dealers over 30 years. Hatfield by far was the most professional and enjoyable car buying experience I've ever experienced. They are down to earth, super nice and not at all pushy. They had the exact vehicle we wanted and were extremely knowledgable about the vehicle features and mechanics. Kailey, their Internet Manager is as good as it gets. She needs to train other dealerships how it's done. One thing I learned a few years ago is that value isn't just the sticker price or monthly payment, it is the relationship and support after the purchase. After spending countless hours looking for a quality used vehicle on line, I found one through Autolist that was on the Hatfield Buick lot. While I wasn't looking for a red auto, the Carfax said it was owned by a local Redlands individual, with no accidents, and a record of oil changes, etc., done locally (in Loma Linda). After looking at cars all over the country I decided I wanted to purchase a local car that didn't have rust damage from snow; or salt damage from the ocean (so that knocked out Orange County, San Diego, Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, etc.) When I saw this vehicle it seemed to be the perfect fit. The next step was doing the deal. I stopped in on Feb. 11, 2019, with only about an hour to test drive the vehicle since I was in between work jobs. Greg Dominguez III met me and took me out for a drive. Then we talked about price and closing costs and came to an agreement. I told him I had a couple of jobs I needed to run to and he said he'd have the paperwork ready for me when I returned. He told me exactly what the dealership required from me for the down payment and what was needed to close the deal. About 3 hours later when I returned from doing my work, he had all the paperwork ready, as well as the financing paperwork, and all was signed and done in about 30 minutes. I WAS IMPRESSED!! Super Easy and Quick buying experience! Was in and out with a test drive and everything in just a couple of hours. We expressed the truck we were interested in and immediately were told that tomorrow the 2014's were going to get slashed $9k off in rebates.... Amazing deal!! I was looking at the new Buick Regal and saw this Hatfield and another dealer had the exact trim I want. I live in LA and emailed the dealer closest to me and Hatfield. Alex responded promptly and answered my questions with no pressure and was very knowledgeable. The dealer in LA seemed like they didn't care and quoted me an outrageous price and payment without asking any personal info. Because of the interaction with Alex I decided to drive a hour to Hatfield to purchase the vehicle. Once I got there I was greeted promptly. I had a trade and I believe I received a fair price. I loved that one person handled the whole transaction instead of being passed to person to person like at some dealers. She explained to me all the offers I was eligible for and broke the price down to me so that I understood everything in the deal. Even when explaining the warranties, she was very informative and not pushy which made me feel at ease. Alex informed me of the various financing institutions and benefits of each and let me decide which was best for me. Once my credit app was sent, it needed to be reviewed further. Alex called the bank to make sure that everything went smoothly and to get the status after 10 minutes passed and there was still no decision, I really appreciate this as some dealers would let you walk off the lot without financing being complete. After the financing was complete, she gave me an eta for when the paperwork would be ready so I may do other things while it was being processed instead of sitting there waiting (even though that was an option). Took my car here for a repair of a recall part (twice)... First time, great welcome. Car was done in one day. Second time, it was busy so I didn't push for same day. I did not receive call on progress of car, so my husband and I went to check after he got home from work. We were told that it would be ready the next day (Friday). Still not ready when I called; at that point my favorable customer service mindset went to unfavorable. I was actually told by Adriane I could come and get my car (as if he insinuated... if I didn't like it I could go elsewhere). Not appreciated! On Monday, yes the weekend came and went. He told me after I placed another phone call; that the 1st recall part was bad, the 2nd was bad, and the 3rd will be going right on, and the car will definitely be ready later. I simply believe that no phone calls of progress, the rude remark, and the length of time my car was there made my customer service thoughts get lowered. Most likely will not go here for service should the current recall part turn defective. I really couldn't believe that all occurred. read more

I've taken my car twice now this dealership first time for oil leak and they quoted me a price of almost 1800 dollars. Took it back where I bought the car it was just a valve cover leak. Took car in yesterday for oil change check the oil when I got home half a quart low. Took it back this morning serviceman tried to tell me that that is just arrange with the oil should be on the dipstick wrong. I can start and end by stating that this was the easiest, best car buying experience I've had. Here are the brief details: I live in Orange County and I searched GMC.com for the Yukon Denali XL that was the color and had the specific options I wanted. I found it at Hatfield. I called and emailed Rod Shelffo. He got right back to me and took info on my trade-in. I felt good enough about our communications up to that point to make the 55 mile drive to Redlands. We made an appt for the next morning. When I arrived I was directed straight to Rod's office. We went outside for maybe 10 mins to see the car (washed and ready) and have him look at my car for the trade-in value. Back to his office and that was it. All negotiations with Rod. All paperwork done with Rod only and in his office. Bill Hatfield came in to meet me, which was nice - he was very genuine. I may have been there for a total of 2 hours, maybe less. Other notable: The car had a real strong "shimmy" at 65+ mph. It's brand new, but I didn't want to overreact. I waited until the next day to do some more driving and then called Rod. I told him that I thought it felt like the tires were out of balance - but that I didn't have time to drive all the way back out to Redlands. He suggested I go to my local GMC dealer (in Tustin, 2 miles from my house) and request that they balance all tires under warranty. He said if they didn't cover it that he would pay the bill. Great idea and offer - and the balancing did the trick. *Btw, Tustin GMC noted that balancing wasn't necessarily a warranty item, but they knew the car was new and they wanted to earn my ongoing business - so they covered it no charge. He made me feel comfortable for being my first time there and I immediately felt the trust from him and the service department.
