We had our backpacks but they took a quick look & we went on our way. We got there around 4:30pm & left around 6ish The front bathrooms on our visit were recently cleaned & were fine. This place Seemed like a local hot spot. Definitely an older casino but had a few updates & a retro vibe. The slots could use a good wipe down. We heard quite a few people winning on their machines. We both left with good wins so we can't complain ;) Outside you have some people wondering around but they didn't bother us waiting for our Uber. Plenty of people coming & going at the time we went. Overall we'd go back if in the area.

TIGHTNESS: 3 STARS They claim 91% payout. Seemed ok to us. Saw a woman appearing to win 1800 on a 2.25 bet. BROKEN MACHINES: 3.5 STARS There were some, nothing shocking. Strangely, they had a crowd of out of service ones clustered together out in a public area. CLIENTELLE: 2 STARS I did not feel unsafe, but this sure isn't Foxwoods. Many people, judging by their clothing, demeanor, and vehicles, ought not be spending their money there. Some folks seemed to be just taking up chairs, but maybe they lost all their dough and were chilling. SMOKING LOUNGE: 1 STAR Incredibly insulting area of broken machines and shabby chairs. No HVAC, it is merely a barred cage tacked onto the main building. FREEZING TEMPERATURES: 2 STARS It was very cold throughout the facility, not just isolated pockets MACHINE SELECTION: 3.5 STARS Decent mix, previous reviews mention lots of elderly machines, that is not the case now.

My husband was happy that they had some of his favorite slots. It wasn't difficult getting on most machines but there were some machines that the people on them were not leaving anytime soon. They have a Concessions area where we saw yummy looking pastries. They also have a variety of food items available and the pricing looked reasonable. We were a little hungry so we ordered a Cuban Toast which came out steaming hot! I think it was around 10 pm when we saw a server walking around with a tray full of 4 oz styrofoam cups. They were giving out complimentary chicken soup. I'm not sure if that's something that they do every night or it was a special day. We thought that was pretty cool. The staff that we encountered were all friendly. From the bartender to the Players Club representative and the servers. They have a Magic City Casino shuttle that you can take for only $5 and they'll give you $30 free play for doing that. The only downside to that would be that it takes 2 hours to get to the casino from Broward County and you're there for 4 hours. Depending on how you're doing, it could be very annoying, lol.

The restrooms are spacious and clean (bonus in my book) and the entrance tunnel serves as a great location for selling merch. Not a bad seat in the house. Music can be heard well and the artists can be seen well.

Casino is open 24/7. The crowd here are mostly locals. This casino is definitely not as polished or hip as Coconut Creek Casino or The Hard Rock. They have a huge Bingo Hall. I've also stopped in once during their Indian heritage celebration and events. Miccosukee always tend to have an event going on which is great. As the only casino in the area located out west by Chrome Ave and Tamiami Street, smaller compared to the likes of the Hardrock Casino but can hold its own. The casino offers smoothing and non smoking areas, high limit room, and poker and even bingo rooms. The casino floor environment seem to be more on the low energy side. Not much excitement going on to get you excited. Maybe it's my bad luck streak but the slots don't seem to pay out as much Overall, convenient to enjoy in the area but more of an old school vibe and not much excitement to be a great attraction or must go destination.

Like almost all fun public events, the burger and food festivals were canceled to avoid "that which shall not be named". Therefore I was very pleasantly surprised when I got an email from The Beast (yes, healthy eating and all I'm on his mailing list #cheatmeal) that a socially distanced version of Croquetapalooza was indeed going down. It worked very similarly to how the food bank drive throughs were organized. I pulled up to the Magic City Casino lot (home of many past events and yummy calories consumed.) The Beast's crew confirmed my email and registration and I drove up to a row of tents where I received two bags of awesome. The first was a box - decorated similar to the old school cigar boxes - stuffed with yummy croquetas from the best known Miami vendors. I'm talking Cao, Islas Canarias aka Croqueta County, Dos Croquetas..you know, the good stuff! But wait there's more..bag #2 has a six pack of Jupina and Materva (it's a Miami thing), mini bottles of Havana Club RUM and desserts from NightOwl Cookies and Breadman bakery. In a sign of the times, Cao bakery even threw in a branded mask. Islas Canarias and Cao were my favorite croquetas, with the chocolate chip cookie from NightOwl and the "cangrejitos" from Breadman taking the "cake" for dessert. However I'm still working through them. (KITCHEN HACK: 10 seconds in the microwave and they're perfect a couple of days later.) Thank You again Burger Beast for putting this together. Make Croquetas Great Again and Build our Appetite Better (I just had to ) Here's to many more beastly culinary wonders!

What's makes this festival different than the rest is that it actually has other food and drinks available. There was a plethora of croquetas and they were bomb... But sometimes you need something that's not a croqueta and that is what makes this festival better than the others. Options. Also, the lines were all manageable. For once I wasn't standing in line for a long period of time to get a bite. Everything was spread out nicely. There was plenty of drinks. There was no way you could leave that festival hungry. The music was incredible. Plenty of variety. I would highly recommend this festival. Also killer dessert options!

The food was incredible and just the beautiful oasis they've created is something special. The music bands were absolutely incredible in the restaurant and also on the boardwalk.
