Once we took their money and got up to $85 and some change it was time to go. As an investor and 8500% return on $0 invested is the way I like to end any day. They told us you guys normally do that down there good cuz I do not need that up here in my life. Thank you Magic City Casino for a wonderful evening or earning. And the Uber driver, nice guy, was telling us to go to the Hard Rock Casino because they welcome everybody. Trust me I felt welcome enough.

My husband was happy that they had some of his favorite slots. It wasn't difficult getting on most machines but there were some machines that the people on them were not leaving anytime soon. They have a Concessions area where we saw yummy looking pastries. They also have a variety of food items available and the pricing looked reasonable. We were a little hungry so we ordered a Cuban Toast which came out steaming hot! I think it was around 10 pm when we saw a server walking around with a tray full of 4 oz styrofoam cups. They were giving out complimentary chicken soup. I'm not sure if that's something that they do every night or it was a special day. We thought that was pretty cool. The staff that we encountered were all friendly. From the bartender to the Players Club representative and the servers. They have a Magic City Casino shuttle that you can take for only $5 and they'll give you $30 free play for doing that. The only downside to that would be that it takes 2 hours to get to the casino from Broward County and you're there for 4 hours. Depending on how you're doing, it could be very annoying, lol.

They have lots of new and older machines and machines that have multiple games in one to choose from. The drinks aren't over priced compared to other local casinos. Haven't tried their concessions yet, but they too seem pretty reasonable. Compared to other local casinos in the area this one seems to have more money giveaways. Seems like every day of the week they have something going on. When you first sign up for a players club you get a 28 day window to play their scratch ticket promotion up to five times , once daily to win free play money to play on your card. Unfortunately they don't have live blackjack tables if that's what you prefer, but they do have it in the electronic form. I would say this casino is my favorite one to visit in the area, and I love that they give you more comps than all the other casinos around.

Casino is open 24/7. The crowd here are mostly locals. This casino is definitely not as polished or hip as Coconut Creek Casino or The Hard Rock. They have a huge Bingo Hall. I've also stopped in once during their Indian heritage celebration and events. Miccosukee always tend to have an event going on which is great. As the only casino in the area located out west by Chrome Ave and Tamiami Street, smaller compared to the likes of the Hardrock Casino but can hold its own. The casino offers smoothing and non smoking areas, high limit room, and poker and even bingo rooms. The casino floor environment seem to be more on the low energy side. Not much excitement going on to get you excited. Maybe it's my bad luck streak but the slots don't seem to pay out as much Overall, convenient to enjoy in the area but more of an old school vibe and not much excitement to be a great attraction or must go destination.

Like almost all fun public events, the burger and food festivals were canceled to avoid "that which shall not be named". Therefore I was very pleasantly surprised when I got an email from The Beast (yes, healthy eating and all I'm on his mailing list #cheatmeal) that a socially distanced version of Croquetapalooza was indeed going down. It worked very similarly to how the food bank drive throughs were organized. I pulled up to the Magic City Casino lot (home of many past events and yummy calories consumed.) The Beast's crew confirmed my email and registration and I drove up to a row of tents where I received two bags of awesome. The first was a box - decorated similar to the old school cigar boxes - stuffed with yummy croquetas from the best known Miami vendors. I'm talking Cao, Islas Canarias aka Croqueta County, Dos Croquetas..you know, the good stuff! But wait there's more..bag #2 has a six pack of Jupina and Materva (it's a Miami thing), mini bottles of Havana Club RUM and desserts from NightOwl Cookies and Breadman bakery. In a sign of the times, Cao bakery even threw in a branded mask. Islas Canarias and Cao were my favorite croquetas, with the chocolate chip cookie from NightOwl and the "cangrejitos" from Breadman taking the "cake" for dessert. However I'm still working through them. (KITCHEN HACK: 10 seconds in the microwave and they're perfect a couple of days later.) Thank You again Burger Beast for putting this together. What's makes this festival different than the rest is that it actually has other food and drinks available. There was a plethora of croquetas and they were bomb... For once I wasn't standing in line for a long period of time to get a bite. Everything was spread out nicely. There was plenty of drinks. There was no way you could leave that festival hungry. The music was incredible. Plenty of variety. I would highly recommend this festival. Also killer dessert options!

The resort was very clean, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick and easy, which set the tone for a relaxing stay. The beach-view balcony room offered beautiful views and was a great place to unwind. While the room was clean and comfortable, some of the furniture and fixtures were starting to show their age and felt a little rough around the edges. One of the best perks was that the resort fee included two beach chairs and an umbrella each day. There are also plenty of food and drink options throughout the resort, making it easy to grab anything from a quick bite to a full meal without leaving the property.

At least the mattress was comfy.
