Installation was smooth, ongoing maintenance has been great, and we've had only minor issues. Jake Juarez came by today to do maintenance and was extremely patient while I asked a bunch of questions about our setup, some small issues we've had with our thermostat, potential upgrades / etc. Super knowledgeable, took his time, and even helped me make sure I knew how best to do basic maintenance myself in between visits. We have an old system, and something was leaking. At first we thought it wa a plumbing issue, it turned out it was the air conditioning. This is a whole house duct system. Arranged to have this company come out, they were available the same day!. The technician Jake, looked over every thing carefully and did a bunch of detective work. Jake was very professional, came in with booties on even. He was easy to understand, took many pictures, found out where stuff gets drained out, everything. He clearly showed me what the problem was and what we could do to possibly remediate it. He did no hard selling at all, although I did ask what a whole house system runs these days ( ouch) but it wasn't out of line a bit from what I've seen online. Jake J. Came out today to look at our entire HVAC unit. He went above and beyond what we expected. Normally someone comes out, takes a quick look at the system and delivers the bad news. When you try to ask questions, they're usually impatient, tired and in a rush. But Jake crawled up into our attic, went all over to inspect the ducts, took pictures and came down dirty and happy After that messy work he looked at the unit inside and took it out and cleaned it, having to get even more dirty. That took a long time out of his visit and still he was happy!! He took extra time to explain everything there is to know about air conditioning and what was going on with ours. Where do I start? Made contact with Phelan and he responded quickly to find a tech nearby to help. Jake let me know he was on his way. Wow, didn't expect the quick response. Jake did some troubleshooting of my AC, and some recommendations. He showed me detailed photos of my unit, pointed out the issues and suggestions including cost of each option. Upon starting the work he kept me updated on the progress as well as more photos of conditions of the AC. He explained what it was doing with my leak issue and what he was doing along the way. I truly appreciated Jake taking the time to provide progress updates. Within a few hours, my unit was drip free! Oh, my secondary line was dripping and it was due to blockages in the primary line, which could have potentially over-flowed in the bottom pan and would have caused some major damage to my bedroom ceiling. Jake recommended a high water sensor which will shut off the AC should this occur. Sorry so long. It's so hard to find company's that take pride in their work. Most of our HVAC were over 30 years old. We first asked for an estimate for repairs and received a detailed estimate from Cody. Wedecided it was time for an entire new HVAC system including 2 furnaces and 2 AC units. Andreas gave us a very fair estimate which I did vouch with a friend who was in the business. The installation was unbelievably efficient, it was obvious that quality and quality control were important to all the installers. They kept me apprised of progress, were extremely tidy and treated us with respect even though it was obvious we are not authorities on HVAC. The installers were led by Hector and Ryan and assisted by Monty with Ike doing final quality control on all aspects of the installation. And also we liked that it was locally owned and operated. Gave me three options to repair and offered to quote a new HVAC system. Due to the problems with the current system, I opted for a replacement. The replacement is a Lennox. I had the unfortunate experience of needing to replace my air conditioner and furnace. Not having any experience with HVAC systems I was overwhelmed. I called ans got in person estimates from several companies. After careful review and research, I selected Haven Air Conditioning. I met with Ike and I glad I did. I recently decided that after 25 years it was time to replace my hvac system which was really struggling to keep up last summer. Andreas came over to my house and explained all the different options available today. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He also discussed with me all the rebates that were available from the city, the fed, the gas company, and the manufacturer. I opted to get a high end , extremely efficient system, and he scheduled the install a few days later. His team led by Michael came out and replaced my furnace, A/c, and ducts. They were all very professional. There was one little hickup: my old a/c unit was outside my bathroom window, but was much smaller than the new unit. The new unit was obstructing the view from the window, so I asked what it would take to move the unit 10 feet to the side. They did so, and just charged me for the extra parts involved. Three days later they finished checking out the system which was working perfectly. Andreas and another supervisor, Ike, kept an eye on the process throughout. I love the new system, especially the way it is nearly silent and has "geofencing" which means it goes into an "away mode". when I leave the house by sensing where my phone is located. My A/C was malfunctioning in the heat of July. I contacted a few spots but Haven had the best customer service by far. They were kind and courteous upon my first contact with their receptionist who scheduled my technician visit. They were came out no more than two days later. You can expect top notch service each step of the way. It's in the details: Confirmation of appointment by email? Check! Text message to confirm appointment? Check! Text the day of with eta of Technician arrival? Check! Did they wait till invited to enter? Check! Did they put on booties to prevent from bringing outside dirt into my home? Check! I could go on and on about how clear they were about the entire procedure of inspection, diagnosis, proposed solution, costs and transparency of potential future concerns. You know exactly what you're getting into and what you're paying for with them. Julien even washed out the vents and even hosed down the grill from my vents literally went above and beyond. So far I've had 2 visits. 1st for my AC leak and trap replacement 2nd for control board replacement (8 years old) The control board needed replacing which cost me $701. Overall, a wonderful experience with everyone at Haven from calling the office for a timely schedule to get a quote to final HVAC installation. I got 3 estimates and Ike came in for Haven. He made the best presentation out of the 3. I know now nothing about having a new furnace and air conditioning installed, but Ike patiently educated me and answered all my questions. I liked Ike's personality and presentation so I decided to work with him first. He communicated very well and promptly through voice and text. He worked diligently with me on the price and later in the financing process. Turns out, I didn't need to call the others at all as Ike got me the best price/value so I decided to give him the job. Also, the timing of the job, which was before Christmas, had something to do with the best price. On installation day, Ray (lead) and Edgar were the installers, came on time. Ike also showed up to coordinate and assist with matters. They laid out floor covers and plastic sheets on the walls below the attic access to protect the house and started working. They took apart and carried that big old furnace from attic without damaging or scratching the walls. There was a minor challenge on the base/platform where the condenser was to be placed in the backyard, but no problem. Edgar solved it and created a sound and professionally made platform, anchored to the concrete for safety. During the whole day, Ray with his exuding pleasant personality was quietly putting the new HVAC unit in the attic with Edgar's help. They finished later in the day, tested the furnace and AC, showed me the new system in the attic, and showed me how to use the new WiFi thermostat. They cleaned up and vacuumed like nothing happened. Our tenant told us that A/C broke so we found Haven Air Conditioning. Luckily, we found this company and Jake could come on the day we called during this heat wave mid-summer day. Jake was very professional. He checked every thing and determined that capacitor is bad after 20+ years. The quote was very reasonable which I certainly do not try to change it myself. Everything was fixed and tested within 2 hours. Of course, Jake did provide warnings that old unit like the one we have could break with other issues.
