Right off the bat, one of our four drinks never arrived--no big deal at first. The appetizers came next (buffalo wings and guacamole with chips), but neither was very appetizing. We still held out hope for the entrées. The omelette was oddly similar to a ground beef sandwich, and my spouse's burger came out completely wrong from what was ordered. We tried to get our server's attention, but after a long wait and losing our appetite, we decided to just take the check and leave. My wife and I came in here to try this place out for breakfast on a Saturday. The place is very nice and the ambiance is great. We sat outside in the patio area which we liked. Now I'm not sure if maybe we sat at a table that didn't have a regular server at that moment or what happened, but we actually were getting better service from the person bussing tables than we did from the person that took our order. She came over took our drink order, it was delivered and we didn't see her for maybe about 15 or 20 minutes to take our food order. Two tables that came in after us had their order taken and food served way quicker than we did. The food was not bad, but nothing great. My wife ordered the Blueberry French Toast, which were good, but not memorable unfortunately. I ordered the Denver Omelette, but they did get my order wrong. I asked to have mushrooms added, which were not there and I got the wrong potatoes with it. The omelette itself was good, but again nothing memorable. Plus I had to ask for more coffee from the same person bussing tables as no one ever came over to offer a refill. And finally, the two tables that I mentioned that got their food before us, they also left before us. 11/10/24 We first walked up and put our name on the list. Party of 2 on a Sunday at 11:00am was packed. They said 30 minute wait. Half of the tables on the patio were empty, looked pretty full inside. We waited for 45 minutes and asked how long, they said another 20 minutes or so. So we opted to eat inside at the bar. Our server was Sas. They don't have a liquor license yet, so no real drinks. He was clearly overwhelmed but trying to accommodate, which I appreciate. The chai tea latte was delicious. Cute interior. We sat at the bar for 5 minutes before getting menus, the bar counter was sticky so we had to ask for it to be wiped. They are new and clearly learning as they go. Prices are as expected for this area. We ordered Avenhaus chicken wrap and ribeye and eggs. The chicken wrap was good. The steak was well flavored, however, I ordered it medium rare, and it was medium to medium well. I did not care for the eggs or the hashbrowns, both were soggy. I got biscuits and gravy, and it was dry. The chairs at the bar are designed for looks and not comfort. We kept sliding down. Very uncomfortable. Made it difficult to relax at all. Overall, we didn't have a great experience. They might need more time to get their stuff together. The people sitting next to us had the same experience. They ordered nachos, which looked good, and they asked for sour cream and salsa when they ordered it. They asked for it three more times and received it after their nachos were practically gone. If I would be able to give this place 0 score on 1st and last experience I honestly Would. I place an order online Saturday May 30 2026 order was 2 orders of crepes and an order of birria tacos. Only my way home noticed that I had 1 order of crepes missing I called the place spoke to a Katelyn was given 2 option 1 issue refund or 2 pick up the missing order mind you I was on my way home I told no it's okay I'd just like the refund for the missing order of crepes. I was informed that manager Javier would be able to issue the refund but he wasn't available at the moment and that he would call me back same day. Its Sunday morning still haven't heard back from manager. I've been the one calling and request to speak with him I've been told either restaurant is pretty busy or he isn't there. I shouldn't be the one going beyond the need of calling the restaurant multiple time to get my refund if I wasn't the one messed up on the order. Such a cute hidden gem for brunch in Old Town! Decided to treat one of my best friends to a birthday brunch and this was the spot she chose. The establishment is super aesthetically pleasing and the decor is super cute. Parking is typical for Old Town, either street parking or the parking garage down the street. The menu has a lot of different options that honestly all sounded amazing. I opted for the crunchy French toast/churro style with bacon/ or sausage and eggs and my girlfriend one of the Benedict's. We both loved our food. The French toast I got was some of the best French toast I've ever had. The menu pricing is also very fair, not overpriced at all. During our trip to Haven Haus Cafe we tried the following: - Matcha Latte - Christmas coffee flight - HH Breakfast burrito - Honey Chicken biscuits - French toast EVERY SINGLE drink that we tried including the waters (very noticeably bad tap water) needed immense improvement. The only drinkable drink in the coffee flights wasn't even coffee, it was a gingerbread chai latte, all of the other drinks in the flights were either horribly bitter or tasted like straight espresso with no flavorings. The matcha latte was extremely milky, the lightest green imaginable but on that same note i did not expect ceremonial grade matcha from here. On to the food, the french toast was a tiny bit undercooked but overall pretty solid! The breakfast burrito could use a bit more flavor but the salsa verde wasn't bad; as for the honey chicken biscuits, the flavor was pretty good! I really enjoyed the waffle fries and the spicy aioli, the biscuits were very crumbly but had a nice flavor, the coleslaw was bitter for some reason but the chicken was nicely seasoned. Trendy brunch place to get together with friends. The atmosphere is definitely giving brunch vibes. Decor reminds me of anthropology catalog. There's a bar for alcoholic beverages and then a coffee bar with a barista. You can order at the bars or order drinks from your server. Music is from the 90s-2000s and nostalgic to millennials which the cocktail menu has a drink named millennial coffee. The food wasn't really anything special. To me it was just your regular all American breakfast. We ordered the brunch board. It comes with pancakes, waffles, and French toast. I asked for the French toast churro style but you aren't able to get it that way. But our server said that she would ask for the churro style toppings on the side for me. I honestly came specifically to just try the French toast churro style because I have not seen that as a menu item anywhere else. I added the churro toppings to my French toast which sounded good but didn't really stand out to me. I don't know if it's because it came on the side. The brunch board also comes with scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. It was a lot of food for just my husband and I since we also ordered the country skillet and that was a good savory dish. We agreed that the brunch board would've been perfect for our three boys and we would order that for the three of them to share the next time we come. I love that they offer flights because I have trouble deciding. I did their latte flight. It came with vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, and mocha. It was too much for me to drink all on my own. I wouldn't order it again because the only one I sort of liked was the hazelnut. If I ordered a flight again, I would share with a friend. Next time I want to give their matcha latte a try. They also have bottomless mimosas available Monday thru Friday. A couple of tips... There will be a long wait on the weekend which is common for downtown Temecula. I don't think this place does reservations but you can join the waitlist online. If you just walk up, you will probably be waiting for a while. In regard to parking there is a parking structure on the opposite corner of this restaurant. So don't turn on the side of the restaurant there is no public parking there. The bottom of the menu says limit your stay to 90 minutes and a gratuity of 20% will be added for parties of six or more. Overall, I'd come back. The food to me was ok. I decided to try this place on Columbus Day hoping the previous reviews I read up on this place lived up to its reputation. That morning I called to inquire how long the wait was at the time. She said she could not tell me and to check the website. I asked her again to check and he then says me that she was in the back of the restaurant and couldn't do that. I thought that was odd. I checked the website, one party ahead of me. I decided to go and when I arrived I was told the wait was thirty minutes. Not was was being shown on the website. Initially the staff was friendly and we were seated outside. This is where it gets bad. It took a while before our order was taken and I grabbed the attention of the guy who seated us to get some help. He acknowledged I needed his attention but never came over. Several workers passed and I ask for my server but it still took some time. I was about to leave but my wife convinced me to stay telling me it could just be an off day for them. Someone finally came over and the girl who took our order didn't seem to concerned we'd been sitting there. My wife orders her meal insisting on green sauce with her order after being informed the red sauce was spicy. She ordered a latte as well. The waiting game again started. I tried to get the attention on any employee to check on my order but seemed to be rudely ignored. I waited. When we finally received our food the server brought my wife's order with red sauce and she admitted she made a mistake and that they could remake her order correctly. After that long wait, no thank you. We accepted our order with the discrepancy. The server walked away and we realized no utensils were provided nor any water. At that point I got up to get the utensils myself. The latte arrived during the meal along with water. At this point we finished our meal, paid the bill and left. Went here this week for brunch on my birthday. I was a little nervous trying a new place for a special occasion, but I was really impressed. The food and service were both really good! There are quite a few things on the menu I want to try, so I will definitely be back. My only suggestion to management would be not having your bartender also wait the patio - especially the day after a holiday. It seemed to be unusually busy. Although we were not in any rush and thought Kyra was amazing at multi tasking with a smile, she was clearly stretched thin making all the drinks for the restaurant and waiting on the 4-5 tables that were outside on the patio. I told Kyra how great she was doing and she had such a positive attitude. 1st time here & will definitely be back. Pros: We were seated promptly, our server was friendly, the food was great. The menu offers a range of healthy, clean choices to hearty comfort food. There's a good combination of American, Mexican, Mediterranean & cafe style dishes. Perfect brunch spot and plenty of shareable options for groups. Love that there is a coffee bar with a coffee/latte flight available. The patio being dog friendly was a plus, and the server happily brought water for our puppy. The atmosphere was very lively with good aesthetic. Cons: I would suggest the restaurant put a water pitcher at the tables or ensure that glasses are refilled frequently. Especially on hot Summer days for guests seated outside like us. Additionally, We and another table cancelled our appetizer due to delays and us being halfway through our meal and appetizer not being started yet. I'm not sure how new they are, but if they've opened recently I think these are just kinks they'll work out. What a pleasant surprise!! Old Town for the most part isn't my fav because the service is subpar, but this place killed it! Food was amazing, ambiance was badass, and the staff was very friendly. Definitely check this place out if your in the area. They have a brunch and lunch menu and lots of fun drinks to choose from. We had Eggs Benedict and a Southwest Chicken salad for brunch with the Sangria flight and a Bloody Mary. The Sangria flight was delicious. We tried Haven Haus this weekend and it was great! We were seated within 5 minutes and the food came out in less than 20 minutes. The burgers were decent. I loved the fries. My daughter liked the crepes, but thought it was a little too sweet. We liked the Cesar salad with chicken. The place is so pretty! I love the furniture and decor, beautiful aesthetics. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Even though it was super busy because of The Rod Run, we did not have to wait long. The place is new and they got it together.
