What a cute and chic place for lunch or brunch. Service was pleasant and entrees were delicious! Chicken was super spicy so if you can't handle spice, don't order the chicken and waffles. It would be better to put the coleslaw on the side so it does not make the waffles soggy. Half of the waffle was inedible afterwards but the dish as a whole was good. Potatoes needed a bit more char on them. Chilaquiles were delicious, as were the steak fajitas. The star of the show was the churros - so crispy and decadent! My wife and I decided to try a new restaurant in old town each time we go. We saw the coffee bar sign outside and ... well there is not great coffee in old town so my wife wanted to try it while we waited for a seat at Swing Inn. But, the coffee bar is a total let down. It is a tiny counter and a really long wait. They can barely keep up with the restaurant. It took 34 minutes for two hot coffee drinks in clear plastic cups - at least that is how long it took for them to call my phone. After 25 minutes I left to eat at another restaurant. They called me 34 minutes after my order for the coffee. Before I left, they were opening small flavored creamers to put in other drinks. Sad that this is what qualifies as a "coffee bar." read more

First the pros-let me say the place is cute. It's decorated nicely. The bar menu for cocktails had some unique options. This is definitely a breakfast or brunch restaurant the menu looked good. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The cons-the lunch menu is very pedantic/boring not a lot of selection. I had a chicken quesadilla $14.95 that was meh I mean... (nothing else even sounded interesting) . Basic chicken sandwich basic salads not even a burger. My friend had a cuppa coffee. It smelled delicious so cheers to fresh coffee. The biggest turn off was the restroom, they were filthy . we did mention it to the manager and employees who were standing around talking and they said it's because they share it with the restaurant next-door. Got seated quickly, love that. My husband's chilaquiles was very good. Green sauce was flavorful and delicious. My breakfast tacos (I don't remember the name from the menu) weren't. The flour tortilla was so dry it was crumbling and the chorizo was burnt and dry. Having said that, because the chilaquiles was so good, we'll definitely be back. We met friends here for a late lunch for our first visit. We were greeted politely and with genuine warmth. The decor is very impressive and the restaurant was spotless. Orders for the four of us were from both the breakfast and lunch menus. We all felt the food was delicious and quite generous. I had the enchiladas with rojas sauce and it was appropriately spicy. No one had dessert because of the generous portions, although we were tempted. Our waitress and all the assistants were attentive, but not intrusive. Our beverages were kept refilled. Went here for the first time today and the service was probably the worst I've ever had. Had to ask numerous times for our first round of drinks. Some would come and some wouldn't. We had a party of 8 and none of our food came out at the same time. We had to repeatedly ask for our missing food and refills on drinks, many of which we never got at all. Then to top it off they wouldn't let us split the check because they wanted their auto large party gratuity. We had a party of 8 and were charged an automatic 20 percent even though the service wasn't worth a dime. Definitely won't be coming back or recommending this place to anyone. read more

I was brought here because my parents said it was really good. Well I'll say the food is actually pretty good. The ambiance is pretty nice. The service from our waitress was TERRIBLE!! I had to wave her down every time I wanted a refill or to just ask a question. It took a while for her to come back to take the order after we told her we weren't ready yet. She checked on us to take the order then disappeared. We ended up having to flag down the manager to get our bill. She showed up after realizing we were getting up and leaving asking us if we needed the bill. The manager however was very understanding of the situation and even cut some of the bill. If it weren't for him doing that I'd be giving the restaurant a 1 star. read more

My mom and I came here for breakfast one day and found that this place was pretty nice. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with Nutella, whipped cream, and strawberry drizzle. Let me say that this look phenomenal. I have never seen pancakes so well put together before. I was expecting the pancakes to be regular size but they definitely weren't. Definitely get only two pancakes if you have the choice XD! The other time I came here with my family I got the omelet. I was expecting something like how the pancakes were and tasted, but I wasn't that starstruck like last time. The omelet tasted like any other. I would definitely recommend the pancakes if you have a sweet tooth and make sure to add those toppings! I would come again to try all their other food! The best hashbrowns!! Delicious food, nice ambience, and great customer service! We are still talking about our yummy food and fun experience days later. Good for families, groups large or small. We had a family get-together Saturday with 6 plus baby and we were coming from multiple areas and happy we chose Haven Haus! Our servers were great, as well as the male manager who greeted us and took our request for inside since it was a chilly day and assured our visit was an exceptional family experience.
