Parking is bit limited, but I was able to find parking a Saturday afternoon, since the other businesses did not have too much going on. Once you enter this space you will see a massive wall of tins to your right, and to your left there will a be a fridge with beer and other drinks. Also to your left a beautiful bar, that it's soft color palette will make you smile. We were greeted and helped by the owner. She used to work on HR and now she is following her passion. She is so friendly, and such a great host, that it almost felt like I was visiting a long term friend's business. Now the menu it's extensive with tins from Portugal, Spain, and many other places. Highly recommend that you consider making it a boards because the bread is so yummy. She made recommendations on wine pairings, but of course you pick. Finally checked this wine bar off my list! Came in last weekend as a group of four for a couple's date night. We were seated in the patio - inside seatings are only for two. It was a bit chilly with my outfit + fan in the works for a Bay Area night. But drinks soon warmed me up! Food was good! They had an interesting collection of canned items as well. And we got to order and taste things we normally would not have thanks to our server's suggestion on the canned food. Our server tried her best on the wine. We asked a few times for the champagne and wines to be chilled. Just FYI some dishes, like the shortribs, do run out so make sure to be proactive about asking your server or what the kitchen is willing to do given the limited time if your party has not eaten dinner. OBSESSED!! Went here for lunch today and will definitely be back many more times. The place is super cute inside with a bar and some tables and then there's a large covered back patio outside. Tons of wines and tinned fish on the wall. Free parking out front. Staff was super nice and friendly. We had a tinned fish board with 2 kinds of fish. Their list is huge and has some really unique varieties. They also have a Spanish vermouth spritz!! I love these but they are so hard to come by. I wish they had more versions here but the one they do have is very good. My boyfriend had never tried it and ended up having 2. We also had the sorbet, which was very refreshing and another unique flavor with wine in it. Other than tinned fish, they had a small brunch menu with a soup, salad, meat/cheese charcuterie, waffles, overnight oats, something with eggs, etc. The other food I saw looked quite good but I think this place is mainly about wine, charcuterie & tinned fish. We were able to check out Haven Wine + Cheese during their grand opening, and it was such an amazing way to be introduced to Lea, Sam, and the whole Haven crew! The first thing I noticed was the dream-worthy wine wall which showcases a large selection of bottles, with many being from wineries owned by Women and POC. You can purchase your bottle to enjoy onsite without a corkage fee, or take it home and get a 15% discount (not sure if this was just for their grand opening, but it seemed like this would be a regular thing). There was a nice selection of tinned fish, crackers, and home accents (beautiful wood serving boards, kitchen gadgets, travel bags for wine and snacks, and more), as well as a few local beers, and chilled wine in the fridge. They were still filling out some of their other offerings, but an extensive cheese fridge and additional artisanal snacks are also going to be coming to Haven soon. There were a few wines you could order by the glass, as well as a dinner menu which we will definitely be coming back for-the menu includes light bites/snacks (served all day), charcuterie and cheese boards, soups, salads, small plates, and desserts. I've got my eye on their mac & cheese and riesling sorbet! You can enjoy your wine and snacks at one of the bar seats, one of the smaller tables inside, or on their back patio, under an umbrella or while enjoying some sunshine. The atmosphere was so fun during their grand opening and you can tell that the whole community came out to support this lovely wine bar. Everyone working at Haven was friendly and helpful-you feel the warm, welcoming, family aura as soon as you walk in the door. What a cute find away from downtown Menlo and in the Willows neighborhood. When I read about the restaurant I was intrigued by the idea most of their food are TINNED! We left Bistro Vida before we could order dinner because of a rude server and were hungry! We were prompty seated by Iris who gave us the 411 on how to order. She asked us what we liked and she choose an octopus and smoked salmon tins, a charcuterie board. After tasting 3 wiens by the glass we choose a nice barolo from Keenan. Cool concept, cool space and nice food and wines. They have a long bar in the front room and a very cozy outdoor patio. Iris was very knowlegeable and made our meal very enjoyable. I drove from San Jose to meet up with wine drinking friends who wanted to check out Haven on their opening weekend. Lucky for me they carry sour beer!!! All the food we tried was unique, fresh and super tasty and reasonably priced. I didn't know gourmet tin fish was a thing but now it's my thing - bought 5 different ones to take home to try. Very inviting place, beautifully decorated and the back patio was cozy. My friend was so impressed that he spoke with the owners about booking his company's Christmas party .
