Her coworker came and went and then came back before finally making eye contact and asking if I had been helped? No, I haven't. Giving 3 stars solely for this 2nd tech as she was nice. As I was unable to get my blood work that day, I ended up going to another DLS location the next day where the service was more efficient and friendlier. I would not recommend this location.

Don't get me wrong, because, much love to the individuals that helped me out. I normally go to another one, however, decided to go to this one instead this time around. Mind you, I'm someone that is not a fan of needles. Anyway. I was greeted by a few young gentlemen. The first gentleman that helped me was real nice. Took all the necessary information that was needed to process my lab work and proceeded to draw my blood. However, the sad thing is that he was unsuccessful with collecting my blood.. twice. (I was poked on the top of my left hand and on the bend of my left arm) Apparently, if a worker is unsuccessful twice, they'll have to call for another person to come in (?). So, he called in another person. He was friendly as well and successfully was able to draw blood from my right arm. It seemed like he was more experienced in locating a vein. (Note: he did mention that for females, it is a bit harder to find our veins because they are smaller) Once the needle got into my right arm, I thought YAY, I don't have to worry about getting bloodwork done anymore. But, alas, that was not the case. The second gentleman, caught that they forgot to take two tubes of blood. He informed me about it, which, thank goodness he did and offered to poke again.. but I was like uhm, I'll think about it. (cries) (After being poked three times, I didn't wanna get poked the *fourth* time within that one day, ahhh) I ended up taking a rest from being a pin cushion and went to another location the following day. :')

I went in at 10:45 am and was quoted a 2 hour wait. I decided to wait in the clinic. Since the clinic is on a walk-in basis, you must be present when your name is called. The waiting room is comfortable. There's seats and a clean restroom to use. I should have went to the mall to grab something to eat during that 2 hour estimate. The 2 hour wait time was accurate. I got called around 12:45 pm. A specialist checked me in first, taking my vitals. After a 15 minute wait, Dr. Kauhane came for the check up. He was attentive, empathetic, and listened to my concerns. He gave advice on how to handle my ailment, and set up my prescription. The process was easy and simple. After that, another specialist came by to do this discharge. I am thankful for Dr. Kauhane and the clinic staff. Everyone was so friendly and helped me feel relaxed even with my ailment. Wish the wait times were shorter, but the doctor shortage is a statewide issue.

My cat had intermittently been showing signs of pain for a couple weeks (refusing food and hiding). We'd been in contact with her regular vet and had a couple appointments, but were still in the stage of monitoring her due to her symptoms being sporadic. On Thursday, she refused both her meals. We got her scheduled for bloodwork with her regular vet for the following Monday. By Friday she was still refusing to eat/drink, and was hiding and refusing to be pet, whereas she's normally very affectionate. Being concerned about her lack of fluid intake and the escalation of her symptoms, I called Kaimuki Veterinary Urgent Care and got an appointment the same day. Dr. Sin did an exam, and had an in-depth conversation with us about the broad range of possible causes for her symptoms. It was clear Dr. Sin fully reviewed my cat's medical history, and took her regular vet's previous notes into account when speaking with us. They ended up drawing the labs that her regular vet was planning to draw the next week, which allowed us to get the results 3 days earlier than we would have! In the meantime she provided a subcutaneous fluid injection to help with our kitty's hydration, and an injected antibiotic. They also sent us home with a pain medication for her. Between the fluid injection and the pain medicine, she was acting more like herself that same night, and she ate her full dinner. They promptly sent the medical records back to her usual vet, who informed us that the labs showed signs of kidney disease, as well as pancreatitis. We're starting her on a special diet for her kidney disease, but regular vet credited Dr. Sin by saying that the antibiotic injection she gave likely already took care of the pancreatitis. Dr. Sin and her team were very compassionate, and Dr. Sin especially was very efficient at communicating her clinical thought process. They also provided itemized price estimates before rendering services. I compared the estimates to the ones from my regular vet, and the prices were roughly the same! Unexpected vet visits and bills are scary, but the team here was open and transparent about the whole process, which really put our minds at ease. Thank you for everything!

You can do it on the CVS app or the website. Times are usually available, and walk-ins are accepted as well. I managed to make an appointment on the same day. You check in at the kiosk, and just wait your turn. Valenso was the nurse practitioner who was there today. He was very friendly, personable, courteous, and professional. He makes you feel comfortable and at ease. You can come here for almost anything from minor injuries and illnesses to vaccines and injections to skin issues to earwax removal and then some. Overall, MinuteClinic is definitely useful. Super friendly staff. Clean and bright room. Very easy to make appointments for the same and next day.

That being said, I don't usually see my PCP unless I'm feeling like "Death is knocking on my door" and I always go in for an annual physical. This past weekend, we were experiencing a lot of rain and humidity which in Hawai'i, often comes with VOG, when the storm system comes from out South. So, when I woke this morning with some allergy symptoms, I decided to contact the CVS Minute Clinic instead of calling my PCP. The online process of contacting a CVS Minute Clinic was quick and easy. -Go to http://www.cvs.com. Select Minute Clinic. -You can look for the nearest site of Minute Clinic that is located in a CVS Pharmacy plus see what the waiting time is. -Make your selection and you will be assigned an appointment and a confirmation code. Your appointment time and code will be sent to your e-mail and phone (text). -Show up at least 5 minutes prior to your appointment to check-in at their dedicated kiosk. Of course, rather than scheduling an appointment, you can walk-in and they'll see you. However, just know that if you walk-in, those who have appointments will be seen before you. Today, I saw Reynard Nievera, ARNP, who was congenial and professional. He was thorough with his line of questioning as I described my symptoms. After taking my vitals, I told him that I was concerned that my symptoms were just due allergy to the VOG or possibly the onset of flu. Reynard took a couple of test samples and luckily it turned out that i was having allergies. He prescribed several medications which I was able to pick up from the CVS Pharmacy around the corner from this office. Also, I agreed to have follow-up calls to make sure the medications are helping to address and relieve my allergies. The Minute Clinic offers several programs that would augment those that your PCP would prescribe. Their business hours and locations are convenient (usually located inside a CVS store), especially if you're unable to get to your PCP on the same day. They even accept many health insurances. Go ahead and check online to see if you might be able schedule an appointment or walk-in to a Minute Clinic near you.
