Loved the convenience of this restaurant being located at the Waikoloa Marriott, where I stayed! They have a menu with a great variety and many deals like mimosa Mondays, taco Tuesdays, and a daily happy hour. We went for tacos on Tuesday and paired it with a pina colada and rum punch. Those drinks were made STRONG and tasted amazing. I enjoyed the tacos, although they were a bit on the smaller side (took about 2-3 bites per taco). We tried Taco Tuesday and it was so disappointing. The fish Tacos had no taste and the beef taco was chewy with no taste. the salsa wasaweful and looked like vomit. When I complained about how bitter it was, the waiter explained to me that it is the best in the world. I asked him if he could try it and he exclaimed no! He then kept trying to convince me to like it. This did not make me like it . I realized that this was the style of the restaurant when the couple behind me complained their pen didn't work to sign the check and he tried to convince them that their pen did in fact work, just not for them. Very funny. Probably not to the couple. Anyway. Try not to waist your time or money at the restaurant. I don't usually write reviews but this is one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. Came here for my birthday dinner. Long story short, we waited for our drinks and never got them. After we had almost finished our meal, our server told us the bar had lost our drink ticket, which in normal cases would have resulted in at least an apology and possibly free drinks for the mistake. We were given neither. Since we were almost done eating, I told him we didn't need the drinks anymore. A few minutes later, he brought our check without even offering the opportunity for us to order dessert. The service was excellent with fast well-timed orders and attentive refills of our waters. The ambiance is extravagantly gorgeous with tiki flames, a view of the infinity pool, and the ocean across the distance. The Oysters tasted fresh with a well paired and light vinegar sauce. Some were very meaty while others were fairly small. The Pizza was hot & fresh from the oven with an excellent melt on the cheese and a delicious crust. Funny enough, this was our cheapest dish and also happened to be my favorite. The Lobster Mac & Cheese had plenty of Lobster meat with a full claw and several other chunks of meat. This had plenty of cheesy flavor with fun bread crumb toppings. The Mahi Mahi came with a well-cooked rice and tasty veggies. The cook on the Mahi Mahi was a tad over for my taste but had a fresh, well-seasoned taste. Surpassed my expectations and I will be coming again multiple times throughout my trip! read more

We kicked off our meal with the Pupu Baby Back Ribs appetizer--and wow! They were fall-off-the-bone tender, glazed with a delicious BBQ sauce that had just the right kick. Perfect for sharing. We also ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese (HIGHLY recommend). This dish was the ultimate comfort food! Creamy, rich, and packed with chunks of lobster. There are also sautéed mushrooms that really add to the dish. As mentioned it is pretty creamy; with that being said, I would recommend splitting this and another entree, as it is very rich! It's definitely a must-try if you're a fan of mac and cheese! We had the Smash Burger as well. Juicy and flavorful, it came topped with a kimchi slaw as well as pork belly. I do think the bun was a little dense for my personal preference, but it didn't take away from the meal. I would say it was a tasty burger if you're looking for a burger, but I probably would opt to try something different if I return to the area. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff who ensured we had everything we needed. The ocean views added to the experience, making it even more special. The restaurant doesn't get too loud at night which is great if you're trying to catch up with family and friends. My family and I were staying at the Marriott, so we had some coupons from the hotel for free drinks. The staff here is really friendly. Because we were also ordering pupus, we got seated on the side. We ordered the hamakua mushroom pizza. The crust and cheese were really good, but they could have been a little more generous with the mushrooms. The ambiance of the place is pretty nice. It's very open and casual. I probably wouldn't come here if I wasn't staying at the hotel, but it was good for what it is. read more

This is our breakfast spot everyday that we stay at the Marriott. Right from being greeted and welcomed by the hostess Roxanne to the service provided by Elma, it just feels like coming home to family whenever we dine here. The view in the open dining area is amazing and you can't help but feel grateful to be in this beautiful spot on the Big Island. We were sad to see that there were no omelet station or the same high level of baked goods, but the hot buffet with eggs, Portuguese sausage, and other items were still delicious. They also have some local hot sauces from Spicy Ninja Sauce had me buying some as unique gifts to take home for family. The service is fast and friendly and the buffet is clean. Great vibes , amazing hospitality though n good quality food. Looking for a grub spot right after our sunset boat ride we ended up at Hawaii calls. For parking all you got to do is get to the self parking area , press the grey button ( call for help) and let the security person on the other side of the phone know that you are in for dining at the restaurant as it's located in the Marriot property. One thing to keep in mind is the fact that the menu in restaurants here changed very often and pictures in Yelp from say 2022 or 2023 might not even be relevant as far goes the menu. Got to our table with a nice clam breeze blowing across. Remy was our host for the evening and an absolute sweetheart as she kept up with our requests. Big shoutout to Remy for her efforts!! We ordered Roasted Brussels, The Ali'i mushroom along with Kanpachi ( subbed out the starch for veggies for one of the orders while the other came out as is OOTB). The initial batch of mushrooms that we received was overly oily and when we reported that to Remy she got a new batch done for us. Still didn't taste as good. The Brussels sprouts were ok and looked overly fried and thus dinged a star overall. The kanpachi was decent and the veggies along with it tasted good. The mashed potatoes were not prepared in the way we expected them to be and left a bad taste in our mouth. Received vouchers for continental breakfast for 2 as elite benefits. Includes basically everything except for the omelet station and the hot foods. So, yogurt, oatmeal, toast, pastries, pancake, fruits, etc. The hot food items were usually sausage, ham, eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, bacon, potato wedges, etc. I think regular prices for continential was around $24? To upgrade to full breakfast, is an additional $12. And for kids, it's $18/$26. Free for kids under 5. Had Miriam serve us for the first few mornings and she was an absolute delight. Extremely friendly and welcoming, couldn't have asked for better service from her. You'll usually get seated promptly, and be served coffee, or juice (pineapple, guava, POG, cranberries) and off you go to the buffet section. There are also plenty of birds hanging around, waiting to dig into your food when you leave, so make sure to cover your food if you don't want to come back to an empty plate. read more

This place is definitely worth checking out if you are staying at the Marriott Waikoloa. The veggie burger and poke bowl were both excellent items. The burger was delicious especially for something with fake meat (not something I usually go for). The star of the show was the poke bowl. They replaced the shiitake mushrooms with locally sourced mushrooms that were absolutely delicious. The tofu was also deliciously seasoned. The ingredients of the bowl were sparse but it packed a lot of flavor. read more

Terrible. Came for a late lunch during happy hour 3-5pm where they advertise that all lunch items are 15% off. The nachos came with old, brown guacamole and were topped with ice cold shredded meat, and barely any cheese to speak of. We asked the kitchen to remake the dish. The replacement we received had fresher guacamole and warmer meat, but the cheese was cold and completely unmelted. Some nachos. Finally, when we received the check, we noticed the server had not applied the 15% happy hour discount that is prominently advertised on the menu. It is conveniently located if you are a hotel guest but would suggest you to venture out as it was a disappointing meal. The service was nice and friendly, so I felt bad complaining but my meal was supposed to be a curry and it ended up having a bunch of over baked vegetables who were sitting on top of the curry (I wonder how old they were), my friend ordered a burger that was supposed to be a smashburger but looked like a store bought frozen patty cooked to the max. Located at the Marriott, we ate here for breakfast in the morning. You have an option for the buffet or to do a la carte. Since we had kids with us, we went with the latter. Pretty views of the water and pools. The food is pretty normal, a little shocking considering it's a high-end hotel. We ordered the waffles, pancakes, french toast, and the eggs benedict. Everything but the latter came in awkardly-shaped, concave bowls that made it hard to cut the items, even for the adults. Even though it was pretty empty, the service took a while and dragged out our morning meal. The worst dining experience we have had on big island. We waited 45 minutes for the food to come out and when it did, it was mediocre. Hash browns were crispies drenched in oil and overall taste and presentation were less than appealing. While waiting for the food, we were also barraged by birds flying wild without any processes in place for the venue to keep them away from guests. We ate here for breakfast and dinner during our stay at the resort. Their dinner menu was not very vegetarian friendly. I ordered the margherita pizza. It was topped with cheddar cheese, which made for an interesting twist on a classic pie. It had a nice crispy crust as well as fresh slices of tomatoes, but it was nothing super special. My boyfriend got a burger and fries and enjoyed them. The fries in particular were perfectly airy and crispy and came with a nice flavored mayo for dipping. Their buffet breakfast was awesome. They had a fresh omelette service which is always a treat. They also had the triple threat of pancakes, waffles, and french toast. The french toast had delicious cinnamon flavor. They also had oatmeal, breakfast meats, scrambled eggs, potatoes, loko moko, and several pastries including croissants and malasadas. They served passion fruit juice which was light and not overly sweet. Our waitress was very chatty and friendly. Note though that if you leave your food unattended at your table during breakfast, it will be picked at by birds that flock around the open air restaurant. read more

First and foremost, the hostess was this fabulous woman named Elizabeth. She has an unbelievable memory. We had several meals there, and saw her multiple times. The first time was dinner. She took us to our table, and I jokingly said that this happened to be our favorite table (even though this was our first time eating there). She laughed with us. The next morning, she was there as well. She saw us, recognized us, and mentioned our favorite table. The warmth and familiarity was amazing and made us feel like regulars. Our servers and another hostess, Roxane, also made us feel welcome and had us eating there multiple times. Now, for the food. The first evening, we had the fish and chips. It had a good batter with an excellent crunch and had fresh, flaky fish in the center. Dipped in tartar sauce, it was delicious. The dish was well done. The crispy fries were a good accompaniment. We had breakfast there on multiple mornings. Elizabeth said that she saved our favorite table. She was so thoughtful! We really felt like we've been coming for years. I got the American Breakfast: Two eggs, choice of meat (my go-to is Portuguese sausage), hash browns, and a Hawaiian roll. It was delicious and a good value. It includes coffee and juice. The Eggs Benedict was awesome too. Good sauce and perfectly cooked eggs. It came with asparagus and hash browns. Cover your leftovers with your napkin though, as the birds are super aggressive. This spot was just OK. We came here for breakfast once during our recent stay. We ordered off the menu as the continental breakfast seemed a bit tired. The food was actually surprisingly good - the breakfast sandwich was very solid and the breakfast cocktails good. However, service was really lacking here. We missed our server for long stretches of time and it dragged out our meal for twice the time we anticipated spending here. When the food finally arrived, they had packed it up to go as if encouraging us to leave. We told them that we were eating there and they let us unpack the food and eat there, in the to-go boxes. So weird. We had ordered a side that was not packed up and only arrived around the time we got the bill. Came to Marriott's here for the Tuesday dining special 5-930pm. Tried to make a reservation, but nothing available until 645pm, as everyone comes to see the sunset from the outdoor dining area. Beautiful setting, with an ocean view, and sun setting in the west. No clouds, just high winds, so the sunset was not as pretty as could be. Wife ordered the $29 "The Dock" a Hawaiian seafood boil, while I ordered the $29 lobster. Wife's dish comes with four snow crab legs, two large shrimp, four large mussels, potatoes, and corn on the cob. My dish came with a 1.25 pound head to tail split Maine lobster, along with butter dipping sauce and lemon. The lobster was tasty, especially when dipped in the butter, with the tail and claws the best tasting, firm yet not spongy. Virtually no meat in the legs. Served lukewarm, with the dipping butter temperature hot. Wife never liked mussels, so I ate them right away. And she was totally frustrated trying to get the meat out of the snow crab legs. Lot of work cracking and extracting the little meat there is in the joints. Finally gave them to me, in return for half of the lobster tail. Good deal, as Kamuela Provision Company charges $23 for a single half of a lobster tail, similar size to this one, as a side dish. And both here and at KPC you are paying for the ocean sunset view. Only problem was that the meal wasn't very filling, and we ended up eating snacks afterward. read more

Very disappointing Christmas buffet experience. Appetizers were good, aHi poke and green salad were the best. Desserts were not awful and there was a decent selection. But entree choices were awful for a pescatarian. Mahi mahi supposedly with truffle butter was tough and had no taste. Brussels that were supposed to be with it were nowhere in sight, none left within an hour of opening. Mashed potatoes tasteless. We got seated at a depressing table with metal chairs and no tablecloths and got to look at everyone else with festive tables and better views. Kids food was pretty gross, my kid kept mocking the chicken tenders but not eating them. Service was mostly nonexistent. Nothing special, but serves its purpose! There aren't a ton of dinner options in Waikoloa that aren't expensive or otherwise require a longer drive. We ate breakfast (buffet) here each morning during our stay, and dinner one night after a day of driving around the island when we wanted to stay close to the room and pass out shortly afterward. No gluten-free bread options. This was true at the breakfast (tons of bread but none gluten-free at the continental bfast), and at dinner. For dinner: The salad was "fine" but basically a bag of lettuce, some shredder cheese, and some interesting mango vinaigrette on the side. Again, served its purpose in giving us healthy greens. Truffle fries & smoothie were great! Exactly what you'd expect from both. For breakfast: The "Platinum upgrade" buffet includes warm food & a nice omelette station! All the classic hot foods (pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage). Watch out for the milk cartons sitting out, not all properly chilled - got a bad one & put on my cereal, which was then spoiled. read more
