wouldn't not recommend buying parts from them, I bought a crank position sensor for my car and it was broken so I came to return it and they told me that you won't take back electrical parts even though they sold me a broken part. So I bought a new one and installed that and it worked so I had proof that the other one was broken and they took it away from me and told me they would send it in to the manufacturer to see if it was broken and then they would give me a refund. I've waited three months now and they keep giving me bullshit about the part and won't give me the part back or a refund just stole me out of $100. Owner is a total arrogant asshole.. I feel bad not giving this small company my business, but if they can hire and keep individuals like this working for them, then they clearly don't care about their reputation. I came by today to inquire about a part for my BMW and was trying to figure out where to park when a woman came out and immediately told me to move--no courtesy, no explanation, just pure hostility. When I calmly asked if she was moving her car or if I could park there briefly, she refused to answer and instead told me to "f*** off and get off the property." Completely unnecessary and unprofessional. A simple answer to my question would have resolved everything, but instead, she chose to be dismissive, rude, and outright hostile. To top it off, she even flipped me off through my car when I told her I'd call the store to clarify parking. It's unfortunate because I would have liked to support this business, but if they allow employees to behave like this toward potential customers, it's clear they don't care about how they're perceived. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere--somewhere that values professionalism and common courtesy. Who would've thought trying to find windshield wipers to be SO difficult? All these windshield wipers are "universal" right? Of course not! There's the fine print that says "fits MOST cars." Lucky me, I wasn't in the "most" category. Purchased and returned wipers from Costco, Wal-Mart, and NAPA. I even inquired the dealership, but it would have cost $120 for over-the-counter purchase, or $80 if scheduled with the service department for parts and labor. LOL! Sure.... Takes 1 minute of labor, which will round up to 1 hour. Only NAPA had wipers that "fit" according to its website. That's absolutely false. Even the employee who helped me at a NAPA store told me so. Thankfully he informed me of store that he always goes to for European car parts, Hawaii Import Parts. I'm so happy and thankful he shared that with me! Wish I knew earlier. That would've saved me so much time and effort. Hawaii Import Parts is located in the Ward area, right across the new Longs on Ward Ave., on Ilaniwai Street. There's a few parking spots out front. This isn't really a browse on your own store. You tell them what you need and they'll get it for you. The person who helped me was great. He asked for my license plate to make sure which wipers are exactly for my car. He told me that this model has different shaped windshields. Why would they do that? After a while, he brought out a set of BOSCH wipers that apparently are ONLY for this car. It's a little annoying it's like that, but now that I know where to get these, and the price is very reasonable. Cheaper than Wal-Mart and all those auto part stores. It's okay! Overall, an awesome store that probably has every car part you need. Fair prices. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and friendly. I definitely know where to go now. I have a 2005 Toyota Camry and needed a new tail light to pass my safety inspection. It was difficult for me to locate the part at other places but I was referred to HIP. Over the phone I was told they had what I needed and verified the part would match my vehicle's fit. They kindly put the parts on hold until I could arrange a time to pick it up. After buying a relay, I realized it wouldn't work for my application and went back to return it, unused. Their tech assured me that if I wired it differently it would work. I agreed to try: It didn't. When I went back to return it a second time, they said that since I had installed it and the metal prongs had marks now it was unsellable and refused to take it back: even though I had already told them it wouldn't work andhad only tried upon THEIR insistance that it would. I love this place! Hawaii Import Parts is the place to go, if you're looking for Euro Auto Parts. I've gone here for parts for my Mercedes and BMW, which you typically can't find anywhere else. They always have great service and quality parts. If they don't have it in stock, they'll order it with no additional shipping charges, and it usually comes in by the next day. I used to order online sometimes, but with shipping to Hawaii, it makes it quite difficult and costly if you need to return parts. These guys have a great return policy on most parts. As long as it's not installed, no problem. I purchased a fan clutch and water pump a few months ago for my BMW, and after installing the water pump determined I didn't need the fan clutch. In this day of Imported parts, it means so much to me that the parts are OEM or from the same manufacture as the original.
