The guy made sure to give me a nice massage and scrub down and it was sooo nice and relaxing. They also do my special needs sister's nails and they are so incredibly kind and patient with her. She can talk your ear off and it takes her a minute to process requests (like relax your hand) so it's nice to have peace of mind that this salon is so patient with her. read more

They re use utensils such as double dipping wax sticks, reusing spoolies, not disinfecting anything aside from changing the paper on the beds. I asked for a clean up for the stray hairs around my shaped brows and instead she changed the shape of them AND left all the rest if the stray hairs. I had a very odd experience here that left me feeling uneasy. Went in around 6:30PM for a regular french dip set, normally takes about 45 mins, they didn't finish until 8 PM. I asked for the tips to be pink, the nail tech was adamant that they are pink (they're white), and they didn't offer to let me pick the color. She did a great job otherwise! They look great, it just took 1 hour and 30 mins and it's not what I asked for. But the weird part was when we finished they asked if they could take model photos of my hands(shown in photos) and I said sure, they then handed me the phone they used to take the photos on and had me text the photos to myself, which I thought was odd but I did it. As I was getting up to leave, the tech then asked if I received the photos, I said yes, then she took my phone from my hand, opened Google and told me to write a review with the photos. I said I would later, and grabbed my phone back. She then took my phone again, and posted the photo with a 5 star review, no words, just the photo with the 5 stars. She posted it from my phone for me. I deleted that review when I got to my car. Overall the 1 hour 30 min service for a regular dip set and removal, the gaslighting that the tips are pink when they're not, and them taking my phone to post a 5 star review, was very off putting and it honestly scared me, I was the only one in the salon and I was alone, and the behavior really freaked me out. I didn't know what they were trying to do. Just beware of other reviews that may not be genuine, could be the nail techs writing them themselves. read more

When I tell you they destroyed my nail beds on both hands, it would be an understatement. My fingers were destroyed. I usually don't let them use the drill because of damage, but figured once would be ok. I went in for a manicure and pedicure. Gel French tip finish. The polish was lifting off before I even made it home. (10 min drive). By lunch the next day, most of the cured "gel" polish had lifted and chipped off completely. I called th3 salon and let him know what was happening. I ended up at my doctor because my nail beds had been filled so thin, they were bleeding. Cracked, breaking, and bending backwards. Let the owner know details again of all of the mess. He offered me a manicure and pedicure. Like I would let anyone at that place near my hands or feet again. He was firm to tell me they do not give refunds. They did do a great job on lash extensions. But DO NOT LET THEM NEAR YOUR HANDS OR FEET!!! read more

I came in to get my daughter (who is 3, it's not like she has big nails) and I's nails painted. I understand I didn't call ahead for an appointment, I knew there would be a wait. What I do mind, is the website says the following: Kids manicure $12.00 Polish change: $7/$10 Gel: $17 I was charged $40 dollars to get our nails painted. FORTY DOLLARS. I could have had a manicure (adult $22, kids $12) for $6 less. When I questioned it, they stated it was because of what I asked for. I didn't ask for a $40 service just to paint 20 finger nails. I asked for just basic nail polish. The only thing they would show me was gel. No one ever gave price differences from what the website says. When I asked them to double check the total, he looked at me like I was an idiot and said "this is what you asked for - you asked for gel nail polish and it's $20 each. Why are all the prices different on the website for adults and children, but I was charged the same amount for both? The gel nail polish is also already chipping. Our nails were done Saturday afternoon. They were already chipping by the time we were headed home from our trip Sunday. We are not hard on our nails at all. I am so disappointed. I used to come here every 2 to 3 weeks when I lived in the city and the service was wonderful and the amount for everything was reasonable. Never again will I come back. read more

Used to come here consistently for over a year, went in yesterday and it was awful. The lady doing my pedicure did everything messy, was slamming down equipment and cut me several times. They had to switch tech in the middle of service which caused me to be in the salon for over an hour and a half for a pedicure. Consistent comments were made about the color I chose and at one point 4 different workers were standing in front of me watching the service get fixed. Terrible service. read more

It would have been a relaxing session but I felt she rushed the service and didn't really do a good job with the nail polish. The nail polish was too thick and it just didn't look professional. First time coming to this nail salon since they've moved! There is a huge upgrade in how the salon looks. I went in to get a fill for my acrylic overlay with gel. The nail tech was very kind and I appreciated that. I am very picky when it comes to my nails as I've been getting them done every 2 weeks for 10+ years. It was $35 for my service which is fairly normal. The service took about 20 minutes and I felt like she was rushing to get to the next client. If she would have slowed down a little I think I would have ended up with a better result. I left the salon feeling disappointed in the inconsistent shape and length of my nails. Sorry to have to leave a less than mediocre review. I had not been to Hawaii Nail for a long time only because I no longer work in the vicinity, but I won't ever be back. I made an appointment for a dip manicure and the lady who did them had a used towel on her table with someone's fingernail clippings on it. She straightened it but didn't change it or even shake it out. When she got to the end of the manicure process she pulled over a UV device to set them. Why? I've had dip manicures for years now and no one has ever used the lamp they set gel manicures with. I stopped getting gel manicures because of the damaging UV light. Big hubbub ensued because the product wasn't setting and they all talked about it in Vietnamese and laughed. I asked if it was because I hadn't used the lamp but no one answered that question. I paid for the manicure and left slightly over a 20% tip and now find 3 of my nails cracking 9 days after the manicure. Bad experience, bad result. read more

I went in Saturday around 430 and the guy at the front was not friendly at all. Rude you could say. The tables were dirty with towel next to me. 2 workers were sitting around talking. The guy showed me to a table. He pushed my chair in for me. Then he sits down and starts talking to the 2 workers not working and I'm waiting for someone. I did t have a good feeling so I called another salon in Yukon and had great service from the beginning all the way till the end. I made an appointment online where you can choose what service(s) you want, your tech, and your appointment time. My time was 1pm, got there 3 mins early. They couldn't find my appointment booking in their system and had me check in online and all the info was there. I was shown to a spa pedicure spot and offered a drink. The water was extremely hot and I said it's too hot, the man said it needs to be hot. And then they left me there for 20 minutes, no one came by, no one checked on me, I just waited for my tech. I kept taking my feet out of the basin because my feet and lower legs were red. The tech gave me the menu of services asked which one, I said I did all this online already. It's part of the up-sell, I get it. But annoying. Started the pedicure and I enjoyed the massage chair. Now a lot of these chairs really aren't that comfortable but this one was decent. Now, I walk with an apparatus due to disability, which i had stated and said my left leg doesn't move well. The pedicure process goes ok, all the creams and massage and such. I clearly struggle to bend and maneuver a bit but i manage. The techs all use a timer I guess to indicate how long they should massage or something. These timers beep constantly and is loud and high pitched. Quite painful on the ears and they make the noise even as the tech is pressing buttons. It disturbs the attempt at tranquility. So the tech moves the chair forward to prepare the actual polish of toes. I told her it was too close, I couldn't move. She said no leave it. I'm at an angle in the massage chair, sitting up but reclined a bit and now my legs and bent up, with the ledge of the spa chair (where they rest your feet) all very close. I couldn't move, I literally couldn't move my legs, in part due to my disability. The tech was trying to maneuver my right leg/foot to continue massage and as she was lifting my leg/me lifting, she dropped her hold and my foot and leg drop into the water basin. It was excruciating. At this point I said disregard the rest of massage and such just do the toes so I can get out. I'm still stuck in this knees to chest position, think of it as being up on a squatty potty for 30 mins. Finished the appointment and got out of there. Now to her credit, the tech was very apologetic but didn't actually fix the issue. This was my first visit to this place as I'm new to that side of town and I had high hopes but this appointment was a disaster. read more

Spent 2.5 hours here for a full set. Granted, I did get a design. I explained and had a reference photo very clearly and many many times. I've gotten a set from this guy before and it was awesome. Just polish. I asked him for the first photo, and said you don't have to do the blobs or shapes in the same place, just freestyle it but do the same elements as the nails in the photo. Anyway, he gets to painting and I said he could do the background colors black and white, so that was my idea. Man looked at the pic on my phone probably at least 100 times. And I mean yea, if the design is intricate then you need to look. But this? I told him I didn't want to do the white tips like the photo, just to expedite the process because I was there for 1.5 hours already. And I told him sooooo many times he didn't have to do the placement EXACTLY like the image. But here's the kicker: the designs don't even look like the picture and I was hopeful. He kept making lines that didn't start or end off of my nails, and I probably asked him to finish the line (and explained what I meant) at least 5 times. I really hate communicating when something is not right for me, but this time I was asking him to fix stuff. But it just didn't get any better. At one point, I asked him for the brush and did I was trying to achieve on my own finger!!! Like just say you won't be able to do it and I will accept that and get a solid or more simple thing!!! But don't waste 3 hours of my time knowing it doesn't look right. I called and talked to the manager, and said I could come back to get them fixed. But I really just want my money back. This nail salon is very pretty and clean but I will never return after my first experience. I had Amy to do my pedicure and she literally shamed me in front of other strangers. MULTIPLE TIMES. Telling me i needed to pick a different type of pedicure and had me look at the different pedicures on their pricing list again because I was "way overdue". She kept trying to force me to get a more expensive pedicure when I originally told her the one I wanted. She kept making comments and was speaking to the other nail ladies about me because they kept looking at me and giving dirty looks throughout the pedicure. I was so embarrassed! No one should have to feel this way when they are getting pampered! read more

I go in every two week, and I always look forward to it! I never have to wait for a chair, because they have plenty of seating, and I'm always offered something to drink. The owner makes sure to speak to every customer to ensure they are enjoying their visits. Selection of polish colors is really great, as well! I've gotten manicures, pedicures, massages, facials, waxes, and lashes, and I've been happy with every service! There is a younger boy who typically works at the front desk (Not sure if he does other services or not) but he gives THE BEST massages! I once asked for a manicure that I ended up not loving due to the color choice I made. I returned a couple of days later to get a new manicure, and they allowed me a free service because I was unhappy with the manicure, even though it was my choice!! I love Hawaii Nails! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. First of all I showed them a simple ombré acrylic nail design. They tell me they cannot do a matte design. Fine, went with just gel. I pick out my color and then am told they don't have it. Then after I find another color I'll settle for I'm told they have it after all. Then they have to discuss with four nail technicians on how to do the ombré look. Then I'm told halfway through I can't use the colors I picked out bc it has to be a powder color. Then I'm moved to two other technicians to do the actual color. They left glue on my fingers as well as the design at no point came out looking even the slightest bit ombré. Super torn on what to rate, because they excelled hard at some rungs and failed at others. I had a walk in Saturday, and got a basic manicure and pedicure. Short wait. Decent but not large selection of polishes. So, the massage chairs are pretty awesome. They have multiple settings, and I somehow managed to set mine for a nice long massage that actually worked through my muscles and untightened some knots. No real foot massage as such, but decent scrubbing, good cuticle action. For the hands, they did a hand massage, a small arm massage, and a paraffin wax. While waiting for the wax to dry, there was a short neck massage. The manicure itself was a total, total failure. The coats were super uneven. The second coat of color fell short of the tip on most nails, and on several nails, didn't even come close to the side of the nail. The top coat was just as bad, not hitting the tips or the full sides. On day two, there was already noticeable chipping on some tips. Everytime I glance at my nails, especially in sunlight, I start thinking that I need to rescue them somehow. I'm going to probably going to just have to remove it if I want my nails to look nice for work on Tuesday, though. The pedicure has some of the same issues, but it looks fine from the distance most people will see my feet. Pedicure and manicure together cost $38. read more

I have been to this salon multiple times and every time is a bad experience. First time I had to go back because she didn't let the gel color dry under uv long enough and my nails were tacky and rubbed off in places. She tried blaming me and said it was my fault. The second time I go in and chose a color she starts painting and it's labeled incorrectly. I tell her it's the wrong color and she REFUSED to fix it. When it's clearly the nail salons screw up! She told me I'd have to come back another time. Kept telling me she was sorry but it was pretty anyways. Not the point! Don't go to this salon. Save your money. read more
