My wife and i stayed on Oahu for 5 days in early June and booked a "day trip" to visit the Big Island one of the days we were there. Booking was easy and they handled ALL of the details: arranged for taxi service to/from the airport, purchased our airline tickets to/from Oahu to Hilo on the Big Island and the best part was the tour guide, Leon. What can i say except for Leon is the MAN!!! While it was not mentioned in the booking and i didn't pay for it, the tour we got was a "private" tour and there ended up only being me & my wife and one other couple, and the guide, Leon. We were not expecting this and man what an amazing treat that was. It was SO much more enjoyable than had we been on a large bus with 50-60 other people or even a small tour of 15-20. This was practically 1 on 1 and we felt like royalty being chauffeured around by good ol' Cousin Leon. He is hands down one of the best tour guides on the island and is so incredibly kind and extremely knowledgeable of the island. He gave us all kinds of amazing history while driving us around and by the end of the day really felt like "Ohana" (family). Two weeks ago, during our vacation to Oahu, we (myself, my husband, and 2 of our young-adult daughters) flew to the Big Island and spent a day with a tour guide, Miexia (pronounced "Mee-sha"). Miexia was among the most outstanding guides we've met. He is a native of the Big Island, extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic in sharing his knowledge, and a kind, warm person besides. We enjoyed picking his brain about many aspects of Hawaii during the course of the day, ranging from its ecosystem to its language to the Hawaiian sovereignty movement, and he was honest and interesting in sharing his experiences and thoughts. Memorable highlights of the day included visiting a black-sand beach, a Hawaiian market, and the Hawaii Volcanos National Park. Watching active eruption of lava from maybe a hundred yards away was utterly awe-inspiring. We will always remember Miexia with fondness, and with appreciation for an unforgettable day. We had a great private tour on Oahu with Hawaii Tours. We did Pearl Harbor--the Arizona and USS Missouri--and then a full island tour. They arranged EVERYTHING and all we had to do was show up and be driven all around. It was GREAT! I highly recommend this and not trying to take on Oahu traffic on your own. Also, since COVID our tour guide was telling us that is extremely hard for people to get tickets on their own to go to the Arizona memorial. There were so many people waiting in a long line to try to get a standby ticket. Our tour guide, Jordan, was phenomenal! She is a local who was born and raised on the North Shore, so he had so much island knowledge to share with us. He took us to a local spot for some food trucks for lunch. He made sure that we saw everything that we wanted. Highly recommend doing this as a private tour, and if you can, asking for Jordan as your guide! read more

This 5 Star review is for Tim and his tour of Pearl Harbor, the Arizona and the Missouri. Tim began by pointing out several interesting things along the way. He encouraged us to go over and take in the morning 'flag raising.' This was very emotional and a great photo op as well, with the Arizona in the background. He told us exactly where to go so we didn't waste any time in the wrong line. After our time at the memorial, Tim drove us around to show us the older planes at the Air Museum, the 'Punchbowl,' King Kamehameha's statue (photo op that he offered to take for us), the Iolani Palace, and the huge banyon tree in Kakaako (another picture op). We really enjoyed Tim as a guide. He was very informative and even added some personal stories that we enjoyed as well. He obviously loves his job which makes time with him very pleasant. The wife and I celebrated our 40th anniversary in Hawaii last month and it was absolutely amazing, except for one part. Being a disabled vet, it was important to me to visit Pearl Harbor. We had this once-in-a-lifetime trip booked through Hawaii Tours. We were informed the day before the tour that it was cancelled and that I would not be getting a refund. They were kind enough to let me know I could repurchase the tour if I liked but that my previous money was no good. The facts: 1. We paid a felony amount of money to Hawaii Tours for a tour 2. They cancelled the tour 3. We still have not gone on the tour 4. They refuse to refund the money the tour They will say something about how they did it "legally" with ownership. If that is true, they can take your money "legally" too and they have the moral disposition to do it. You have been warned. read more

We booked the Legends in Concert in Ohau and the Maui, Road to Hana tours through Hawaii Tours. Thoroughly enjoyed both events. I mistakenly provided my home number not my cell number, so there was a bit of confusion due to my error. They were great and called my home then tracked me down in Hawaii. The Road to Hana tour was very good. Malissa was our tour guide and made our experience very personal. She catered to us like vip's. We had a great meal and conversations. The sights were spectacular. I just wish there was more time to see more of Maui. I highly recommend both events. I would like to see a Road to Hana/other parts of the Island combined tour, but I guess it would be a much longer tour. All in all fabulous time. read more

Excellent!! We used Hawaii Tours to book five items for us during our vacation on Oahu in early October. One day tour on Hawaii to Volcanoes National Park, one day tour on Maui over the Hana Highway, one loop tour of Oahu, and luau and a sunset cruise. They did a nice job of putting this together. Unfortunately the sunset cruise was cancelled by the operator and was refunded. The tours were nice. Our assigned person at Hawaii Tours was good to work with. The tour guides on Hawaii and Oahu were great. We had self described 'driver' and not a tour guide on Maui. That worked out okay. The Luau was in Ko Olani. We appreciated their capable service in getting all things arranged. read more

I we far more impressed and happy because i booked everything through Hawaii yours and they out did my expectations .....i knew i would have a good time, but they just made it that much more easier by organizing everything for us. Our guide was beyond awesome! Really got down deep into the culture. Taught us about past and present culture and customs. Almost immediately I felt like I had made a friend. Kalei offered us different options along the way to give us more time doing things we would like to do over the things we were less interested in. Tim our tour guide"cousin Tim" went out of his way to make sure we had a fantastic tour of Pearl Harbor. the simple things you would ordinarily miss like the morning raising of the flag he made sure we got there in time to see. He also took us to some stops not on our agenda like the punch bowl which I had never heard of. He gave us his personal phone number and told us if we needed anything else or had anymore questions on things to see while on the island to give him a call. We took The Road To Hana Tours and had a great experience. First we had a large group which included people well over 6 ft. We were all comfortable in the provided Mercedes Benz van. The itinerary was planned but we were able to make changes dependent on what we wanted. The tour guide, Josh was FANTASTIC! He was informative, knowledgeable about the history of the islands and knew a lot about the plant & animal life. He was kind, funny and a great storyteller. We tried to confirm everything with them a few days before the tour and received no response. They never showed up to pick us up, so we got ourselves there. great tour! we took the tour of pearl harbor, the missouri, and downtown honolulu. Vetti was a great / funny tour guide. they booked all of our flights and picked us up in a van from the airport and took us to each place. all you have to do is book- they schedule the day for you and drive which is really convenient! downtown honolulu tour is just a driving tour so the only walking is at the arizona / pearl harbor tour and the missouri battleship. would recommend! read more

We had a small tour group of 8 or 9. Jeff and the tour bus picked us up at our hotel. Jeff was super personable and really nice. He seemed to know his stuff. Would add interesting tid bits along the way that you may not know. This tour was well worth the time and money. They took care of everything when ot came to getting aboard the USS Arizona Memorial and over to Ford island to get aboard the Battleship Missouri and into the Aviation museum. read more
