Very accommodating. I cant eat too much sugar, and the sauce is full of it. I request chicken without sauce and veggies without seasoning. This is not a typical request, and yet they made it for me anyways. Britney took my order, and Sam, the manager, is the one who recommended it. I used to come here on a regular basis but the last three visits have been unacceptable and nothing short of appalling. I was thrilled when I found out a Hawaiian Bros opened in Lee's Summit. Tonight I decided to try it. I had Honolulu Chicken, and a Dole Whip, ofcourse. I ordered vegetables, and am glad I did. I used the drive through. No complaints. I got home and was surprised to see macaroni salad on my plate. I can't eat that, so next time I'll have them place that separate. Not Hawaiian Bros fault. I'm not going to complain about it. There was plenty of chicken, but not like Asian chicken, this had no sauce, and rice, tons and tons of it. No vegetables, so I'm glad I ordered some extra. The Dole Whip tasted indescribable. Heck, I'd go there just for that. It was delicious and I'm close enough to go back again and again and again. It's probably my pre-race restaurant. I ordered delivery from here, and only got half of my order. The tamper seal was unbroken, so the mishap couldn't have occurred during delivery. The part I did receive was okay. It was pretty bland and dry, but it tasted alright. The food could've used more flavor, and probably would've been better had I received my entire order. I did like the sweetness of the sauce, and the rice was a nice texture. The food here is okay. It's a little more sweet and salty than I'd like, but the rice is there to balance out the flavors. My favorite here is the spam musubi. I could eat so many of those. When they first opened there used to be a very long line to order and they gave out generous portions to attract new customers. That eventually stopped, but it was good while it lasted because we had a lot leftover for another meal. We've never eaten in, but it looks like a well-kept place inside. read more

So, I never leave the drive-through without checking the date. Instead of correcting the problem, they've quit dating the salads!!!!! The price of carrots must be cheaper than lettuce. There was only about 1 cup of lettuce in my scant salad and just as many carrots! The chicken is only cheap thigh dark meat. It was $12 without a drink! No wonder there's never any customers. Loving the outside eating area. The weather today was perfect for it. I walked in before 11am and they took my order. They open at 11. The cashier was super nice. Lots of smiling faces when I walked in. Ordered my usual small molokia chicken no mac and a medium drink. Roughly a $9 meal. Food is consistently good and always fresh. I did find a hair stuck to a piece of chicken. But I never send food back. If you've ever worked in the food industry you know it's going to happen. Not a big deal. My daughter drive thru for dinner. Usually there is someone outside to take orders, but there was nobody there whenever she arrived. Then, she pulled around to the speaker and waited for 10 minutes and nobody answered or said anything back. She had to get home, so we stopped by to pick her up dinner. Not too much to say, other than the food was BOMB... The Kilauea Chicken was a new item for me which I've never seen at other locations before, or maybe I'm just forgetting, but it's my new favorite, so definitely a recommend on that! Also, Pineapple Dole Whip, just get it, you'll thank me later. But, as always with Hawaiian Bros, no matter which location I'm at this place hits the spot for my Teriyaki cravings. This new location which just opened up a few months back always seems to be busy so business is good! The young staff is polite and friendly and always greet ya with a smile and an "Aloha". We have gone 6-7 times since they opened. The food at first was a bit overcooked but since then it's gotten better and better every time. Now they are getting in more of a groove. We have had a few mistakes but they again are super new. We have been told the wrong flavors of Dole Whip, and we have been given the spicier version of food then we ordered. We have been ok so far but some might not be. It won't stop us from Going as we love it and we think the service will get better and better. read more

I came in without a clue as to what to eat and the manager sold me on Molokai and Honolulu chicken, it was so good! The staff is the friendliest I've had in the service industry for quite sometime! UPDATE: returned a couple of times ordering the same dishes. Found that when it was busy the food was completely different. Very fresh, taste better and looked completely different. They must make large batches and deplete as orders come in. Wondering how often it is tossed out if not sold. Go when it is busy and you will have good food. Portion sizes still not consistent each time we went after the initial review. We love food like this. Great gluten free dairy free options. Great tasting. ordered the HULI HULI CHICKEN LUAU PIG both the medium classic size. The flavors were perfect. The chicken was very dry like another person commented on but we were told chicken always looks like that by other people... well well cooked. The problem we had very very very very very small portions. We could count the pieces of chicken. The pork was like a tablespoon size and the rest was rice rice rice and more rice. We will give it another try maybe the new people did not know how to portion the sizes. If you were to compare it to Oriental food take out you would have complained about the size and took it back. Even Thai Food they will fill up your container and give you another container for rice. For the price we felt it was not a good purchase. They dabbed a bit of meat in the container along with a bunch of rice. They will make a killing if they continue this practice. Not great for the consumer though. ps. adding comment: did not know they had sauces... never offered. we always enjoy returning to an establishment to see how they are doing, see if it has favored better or not. read more

I will start this review off with a fact that will set the tone for what's to come. My wife and I love Hawaiian Bros so much that we eat there every Friday after work and refer to it as "Hawaiian Bros Friday!" The menu is simple and it is delicious. Each plate comes with your choice of meat on a bed of steamed rice, an extra side of rice and their patented, amazing macaroni salad! That's it and it is more than enough flavor to satisfy. Pro tip: Add their in house made teriyaki sauce to their white rice, it is phenomenal. As far as their meats go, my wife ONLY gets the pulled pork and it was my go to for a long time. I would honestly put their pulled pork up against any other restaurant, BBQ included, as some of the best pork I have ever had in my life. The other options are all different variations of chicken. These range from sweet to spicy. I absolutely love the Kilauea chicken, it is my favorite. Many Hawaiian Bros are popping up in the area and you owe it to yourself to try it just once. Again, the menu is very simple and I think that is why it is so great! They have perfected what they are good at and it is awesome! read more

Loved in Hawaii for 3 years and desperately miss those islands. As for ambience they've got it perfect! And my kids were so excited to get their hands on Hawaiian Sun drinks again. As for authentic I was disappointed. Yes it was good but when the locals brought you Spam musubi it didn't have teriyaki on it. All the Hawaii a Mac salads we were served had shredded onion, carrot, celery and Hellman's Mayo was the only choice. I had the Honolulu chicken which had a lot of flavor however the Huli Huli chicken and Kilauea Chicken had the same flavor too. Sorry...again I said it said it was good but when you're missing the food of the islands as much as we were this was disappointing. Great staff! Very clean! Interesting concept. The portions are huge so don't be afraid to get the regular size. Two adult males could easily split a large. There are only a handful of entree options but the two we had were excellent. We didn't see the mixed plate option so if you're looking for variety, that may be the best thing for you. The place was REALLY busy on opening night. My girlfriend and I decided to stop in for a Dole Whip since we haven't been to Disney in years. We got to the counter where the girl said they were out of pineapple(on opening night?!). The Dole Whip is advertised for $3.50 in the photo on the left. The photo on the right is what we received for $7.56. Not only were the portions roughly cut in half, but the whip lined the cup, creating a hollow center. For the price, I thought a serving would a least be a cup(8oz). For reference, the cup is 12oz when full. I probably won't bother to come back for the Dole Whip again. read more

And the spicy chicken for my spouse. We both liked the food but the side choice is cold Mac cheese and that wasn't to good. My salad was good the dress I was sweet vinegar style. The spicy chicken was ok, but nothing to amazing. We would go back but there's a very limited amount of selection on the menu. So probably won't go for a long while. read more
