Moving is a nightmare - we all know that.. but these guys made it a lot easier for me :) Called in to get an estimate for my move and David came out, he was very professional, very courteous and accurately estimated my move and the time needed for my project. Price wise they were very fair and definitely worth it. The crew came out on the day of my move, right on time ready to start working and they were exceptional! I've dealt with many moving companies in the past and they were the best ones I've ever used. First thing they did was a walkthrough with me in my house to memorize and notate where every item goes, they were very delicate with every piece of furniture, made sure it's wrapped, sealed and organized the right way on their truck to prevent any damages. They were very attentive and took apart any item needed without hesitation. When we got to the new place they took the time to unload piece by piece, assembling each item in its place and cleaning everything around them after each item making sure it looked exactly as it was before it was moved. They did another walkthrough with me to make sure to know where each and every item goes. Not even 1 screw was missing, everything was put back in place perfectly, no dents, no scratches, no damages whatsoever. They were clean, efficient, courteous and most importantly very professional. And even though it is very hard labor work they were always smiling and making sure it was a smooth sail. I would also like to notate that after everything was done (and I'm sure they were exhausted) they offered to help with anything else needed and made sure I was happy with everything they did - now that's what I call great customer service. One, the person in charge of pick ups and drop offs promised me a price for the amount of stairs that would be needed to go up for the movers to actually bring up our things. He didn't tell the movers. So the movers wouldn't agree to give us our things until we paid more cash up front. On top of that several of our peices of furniture were chipped scraped, broken, dented. Update on my review. We were in CA so we decided to visit Let's Move it Right's warehouse (this is the vendor Hawaiian Shippers uses and they share office space.) We were told that our boxes had been there but were no longer able to be located. David was also incredibly rude, though he knew exactly who we were. They said that the boxes could have been put mistakenly into someone else's storage crates, either there, in Las Vegas, or in Texas. They promised to open the crates and see if our boxes were there. After weeks of calling and emailing, I finally received an email reply, "Unfortunately we have been unable to locate the boxes. At this point the only thing we can do is request Hawaiian shippers refund the deposit. If the boxes ever do turn up again, we will reach out and get them to you asap." So that's it. All of our belongings are gone, without even an apology. We had some deeply sentimental items in those boxes. I am heartbroken and nauseous over it. read more

The biggest issue next to price inaccuracies was the extreme non-responsiveness of the entire company. We called countless times. Literally we would call, they would answer "hello!" without announcing the company name or who was speaking. They would put us on hold and never return or disconnect the call. Email communication was just as poor once we agreed and paid the deposit the sales agent Remi totally ignored all our calls and emails. No instructions for what's next. The coordinator Mark was somewhat responsive prior to pickup. But after - crickets. Jump in rate - we questioned Remi on the original quote because they do not send someone to the house - and we sent Remi a video of what was to go. They did NOT honor the agreement. We ordered - based on their recommendations - 20' container. When moving day came they could not get a 20' and had to get a 40'. Which meant they would have to shuttle to the container. Normally there is a fee to shuttle which Mark promised over the phone that since it was not our fault, we would not be charged. Come moving day - also a day late - we were charged by the lead packer. This was later resolved by the person who collected the final charges. They hired local help and used their personal pickup trucks plus U-Haul pickup truck. We found out later that this, as we understand, does not meet regulatory guidelines. The lead guy did not have all the needed documents. He had no way to collect payment I was told I needed and specifically arranged credit card payment ahead of time with David. Also Remi said AMEX was ok, while David said No to Amex. Of course the price was nowhere near what Remi the sales guy quoted us. On the delivery side we could not get information on when we could expect our belongings. We email and called Mark asking for the eta about the last week of the given timeframe. He responded by email saying a new later date. That date came and went with no update. After a few weeks we had replaced some items out of necessity. We had seem bad damage reports and completely lost items on line and began to worry we would not get our belongings. We completely understood the port backlog and was why we did not pursue legal action. We simply wanted a RESPONSE from them. Finally We did some digging and found the parent company owner's phone number. After that call, we immediately got a return call from David who, all be it combative, kept interrupting, and was completely argumentative finally answered our eta questions. Clearly frustrated, David was so disrespectful and totally uncaring about our concerns. I would say that he could relieve much of their internal frustration if they would simply COMMUNICATE with their clients. We understand what is going on at the ports. Just communicate. At delivery the guys were great. Very friendly careful and quick. Two items broken. A TV and cart. Hawaiian Shipping has completely ignored our report and we have received zero refund from the standard insurance we purchased. The only folks who were great were the local Hawaiian men they hired at pickup and the final delivery guys at the end. Absolutely Everyone else connected to the company are absolutely horrible, disrespectful, unprofessional, uncaring, and unfriendly. Dudu and his team were absolutely great! We moved our business from Los Angeles to Inglewood. We agreed on the price in advance and then they brought boxes in advance. Came on time and worked really hard all day long (5 or 6 truckloads!) Took care of everything and were courteous and diligent. The last 4 photos were taken during pickup, the first 4 was receiving, from Ca to Wahiawa. I did see the bad reviews and decided to give them a chance, after I've communicated with REMY , I told him how I felt about it, but after communicating with him several times I felt he was being sincere. The pick up guys were very respectful, on time and communicative. It did take a month to receive my home goods, but that's because they're following protocol. I've communicated with Mark and he was honest about time frame. Im pretty sure the company always tried to deliver great service to all customers. At delivery the gentleman were also super respectful and honest. They called the day before and set a time. Day of drivers called and gave me heads up and their ETA. Overall these guys were awesome! I would give this business zero stars if possible. The customer service is horrible and that's just the beginning. They were 3 months late with my delivery and when my shipment finally arrived I only received half of my things and the other held were so badly broken they were destroyed. Every box was smashed what I can only imagine was a box compactor. All of my belongings and the boxes they were in were moldy and torn. When I called to tell them I was missing about 15 boxes they told me I was lying and they shipped everything. I was forced to leave the island because of Covid and this moving company is capitalizing on peoples misfortunes. It's absolutely not acceptable. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Wish there was a negative-star rating... our experience could not have been worse! They picked up our vehicle in Portland to deliver to Tacoma but the transport driver had no clue how to operate a manual transmission - took him nearly ten minutes of killing the engine and burning the clutch to get it on the trailer. By the time it got to Kona the syncros were totally toasted (try to make a claim on that). Our household contents filled a 45' container and hauled to LA. Three weeks later we notified them of the delivery address but were told it would "be a few weeks", meanwhile they charged us storage fees. When it (supposedly) did ship it took almost THREE MONTHS to be delivered. In the process at least four boxes never showed up (how do you lose boxes in a packed container????) and a number of items were damaged. Yes we submitted a claim - took me hundreds of hours to document missing/damaged items with values and photos and receipts, for a total claim of $4,508.28. We were offered $233.98 in compensation - Take It Or Leave It. It would have cost us more to litigate, which of course they knew. read more

Pros: 1) David (partial owner) is responsive to his phone. 2) Price is far superior to other competitors we looked at. We moved from a small town in CO to Honolulu. 3) David let me know the status of the shipment at every step of the way. When the truck arrived in CA, when the shipment of the boat would be, when the boat would arrive in HI. 4) All 36 boxes and even a nice bike arrived in perfect condition. I was REALLY nervous about this given the other reviews. I was pleasantly surprised with how well everything turned out. Cons: 1) Long story short - botched the initial pickup date, had to rush the packing to get it on initial truck. 2) Initially wanted them to also ship a car, but again botched the pickup date. Contacted Hawaiian shippers who assured us the pickup was the next day and then the next day the trailer never came. Ended up going though another company to ship the car. 3) No flexibility in offload date. Let me know Friday afternoon my stuff would be at my apartment on Tuesday. That wasn't a lot of time to prepare / take time off work etc. The only other option they gave me was Wednesday. Bottom line- stuff arrived perfectly and in a timely manner and for a great price. My wife and I are 60 years old and are finally able to live out our dream of moving back home to Hawaii. We have lived most of our lives on the mainland somewhere and we had all the possessions that we accumulated over all those years. We have moved many times before but at our age and with the amount of junk we have now this was going to be an exceptionally challenging move. Liz and I truly believe that God brings people into your life for a reason. When I was shopping for a shipper I didn't know who to trust or which shipper was going to help us make our move as painless as possible. I made all the calls and took all the notes, read all the reviews and then my wife comes to me and tells me I want to use these guys. From the moment that I began talking to Mark I was completely at ease because he sounded like an honest and trustworthy person. I trusted him, and throughout this stressful process he has never disappointed me or let us down in any way. He has always been honest with me and never promised anything that he did not accomplish. He told us everything that would happen before it did and it all happened as he said it would. For us that was like a huge weight had been lifted off our backs to be able to trust that Mark and his company would be taking care of us. Marks honesty, integrity, and that he is just a good person was a blessing to us. Ergon and Arnold were the guys that packed, loaded, and trucked our stuff to California. Ergon told me I would not have to worry about anything they would handle it. He was right they did it all fast, they were very careful, they covered and protected everything. Ergon was amazing he knows so much about how to pack and ship things correctly. Arnold did not stop working he was always doing something. I asked Ergon to wrap my Marlin for me and they did a great job! They over did it to make sure it was protected and I appreciated it. Both of these guys were very polite and honest and we were very thankful for them. I was a little worried about our stuff and my motorcycles making the trip undamaged but Mark reassured me they were taking good care of both. We received our shipping container in record time even with the pandemic. 27 days! Mark told me his guy Carlos in Honolulu was great and would take care of us. And of course, he did. He sent the best group of guys out here to us. My motorcycles made it ok and they took care in unloading them. They all did a great job were very respectful and careful with our things I was very thankful to have met them also. Carlos called to follow up after they were finished and I appreciated that also. This move would have been very stressful and hard on my wife and I if not for their company and all the wonderful people they have in it. We are so very thankful to have met them all and very thankful for their service to us. LOL! Really it is a ridiculous story. A) I let go of a $700 credit back (as I was asked to NOT write a review in return for the credit & although I am owed way more than just a $700 credit, I turned my nose at it, not only due to the amount but the request that went with it) !!!! Right there - that should give you an idea about the kind of company Hawaiin Shippers are. PLEASE be aware for your own good. 1) First I was quoted - $15,000 for my stuff but ended up paying close to $30,000. Lie # 1: Although I told first quoter "Remi" a million times, I needed a 40 foot container, he must have understood it wrong a couple of times, as later I was told, that was a mistaken quote and they thought I meant, a 20 foot container. (RED FLAG). Lie # 2: "Fine let me get a new quote" and in walks Mark Morales. Now the quote is all of a sudden, $24,000. Based on what? Based on nothing as they do not come to your home in Hawaii and do there due diligence of measuring your household goods. RED FLAG: (Never, ever go with a company that doesn't give this service-they are guessing - and not doing their job & you ARE going to get cheated). This new quote was also now a NON-BINDING contract. So not only do they not do their due diligence, they give you a number that isn't even set in stone. This ALWAYS means you will end up paying more & much more. Always do BINDING contracts, which means price can't change once established in contract. Lie # 3: I shared the volume assessment of my goods, that another company had come to do, however that better company who was doing their job couldn't carry me off island on time & I couldn't wait for them for a month. When I shared the volume amount of goods that was actually measured for real, since Hawaiin Shippers are all about bate & switch, they supposedly matched the amount & re-quoted $19,000, as they didn't want to loose me to the other company. Lie # 4: However once they loaded my stuff, they said the volume was more, much more from what I was quoted by the other company, price went up by $5000. Now FYI, this is ILLEGAL & completely ILLEGAL cause to protect the customer it is by law that even in a NON-BINDING, they can legally only charge 10% more from the estimated number on contract. Since, I already agreed on $19,000, I had thought they can only charge me max another $1900. This was my right by law. Now I wanted to get my stuff off the truck, however I was threatened to be charged with costs of two days labor & packing. So basically one is left with no choice unless a lawyer is standing next to you. To not go forward would cost as much as the illegally extracted amount. Lie #5: I was promised an exclusive 40 foot container. When I asked why they were not locking the container at my property, unsuspecting workers told me, it had another address to go to & other stuff to be loaded on. Lie # 6: I was told a certain date they would come to pick me up but the actual arrival of their people was 10 days later then what was discussed. I paid $433 x 4 days extra at my rental property (that I can prove) plus extended another 6 days when they started stalling with arrival to begin with. I asked only for $1700 credit. As that amount is the only amount provable via contract. Mark Morales said, they would look at it, they never did. ($3000 extra for shuttle & car service paid for Port to door, everything was suppose to be included but driver who brought the car charged us on top of it regardless). Only the the crew they sent was great with the packing/unpacking, that is it!!!! Lie # 7: Original company, that gave me a proper measurement, had said it would take them 3 days to complete packing the house. Mark always promised it would take 1 day, when I questioned him about "How"? He promised that a 5 people crew was coming. Only 2 people showed up on first day and of-course it took them 2 full days. When I confronted him about this, he told me, he never said such a thing. After everything was packed, he screened all calls, never answered emails, there was never a tracking number sent, I never knew where my stuff was and just kind of gave up not caring if the whole ship sunk in the middle of the ocean. Lie #8: 6-7 weeks later, David called to inform when the stuff was arriving. I asked for the manager, he said manager was "John" & would call me back. No call of course. Later I found out David was the owner from the reviews. (AVOIDANCE at every turn). When I complained to him, David offered to credit me $700 but he said "If you are going to write a bad review anyways, then just pay what is owed - by the way, you should be grateful, nothing arrived broken". " For close to $30,000 thanks sooooo much, my stuff didn't come in shambles"!! (The standard of customer service from Hawaiin Shipper for you). ZERO star review. We paid Hawaiian Shippers to move our belongings from Oahu to Florida. Koa Moving & Storage arrived to pack up our goods, not Hawaiian Shippers. Koa Movers, no complaints about their crew. Our goods were shipped 3-27-21, we have been in Florida since 5-9-2021 and we still have none of our belongings (it's been 16 weeks since we shipped our belongings, we were told it would take 6-8 weeks to deliver). There are ZERO updates about our order and it's now IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with Mark Morales, David or anyone else now, it's like they're screening our calls (no one answers any of the numbers we call) and they don't respond to our emails anymore (we have e-mailed several times over the past couple months asking for updates). We have left multiple messages for Mark and David and neither of them have called us back (we're going on a month now of no word from Mark). We were told our goods were in Missouri a month a half ago and our goods would be arriving in a week. I called 2 weeks ago for an update (spoke with Jen) and was told our goods were back in CA. and "should be" heading to Florida at the end of July. Their website says our satisfaction is their priority, NO IT ISN'T. This has been the worst moving experience we have ever had and I will never recommend Hawaiian Shippers to anyone. Long story short, on the day of moving, my bid went up by $5000, due in cash or they would leave. Of course I paid- the new owners were taking possession the end of that day! They various company names. Do not use. We used them to move to California. Was told 4 to 6 weeks. 3 months later had to track down our own shipment through the guys that packed our things. It was still in storage on Oahu. Spoke with sales rep/ owner..."We don't have enough to ship a container yet, we don't know when it will be shipped." One month later I had another company pick up from their storage and had it 2 weeks. They also were suppose to refund my payment but never received it. It was impossible to get a hold of anyone that could process or approve it. Finally had to call the federal maritime commission to force them to refund our money. All refunded minus the storage fee. I will keep keep this short as there are too many bad things this scummy company did to cover in this review. I received a quote from Mark M. and Remi to move household goods from N. California to Kauai. After checking prices and reviews from other movers, I decided to go with Hawaiian Shippers. That was a huge mistake. The move was completed earlier this year and it was a total mess. These guys seem very helpful, but they are just slick con artists masquerading as sales people. They over promise and under deliver. The price you are quoted will be far less than what you end up paying and they will attempt to extort you to pay all kinds of extras once your goods are on the truck and ready to leave. If you don't pay up, they threaten to simply offload your goods and keep the thousands of dollars you have already paid. Mark M. will not respond to calls or e-mails once the move is underway and their customer service sucks. They will not tell you where your goods are in transit and when they might arrive. In my case they quoted 6-7 weeks delivery and it took 11+ weeks. The Hawaiian Shippers moving teams are hit and miss. They claim to have professional movers on staff in Hawaii. That is not true. They will simply send you a two person team of inexperienced, underpaid contract workers who cannot safely unpack or move your stuff. Yes, most moving companies are below average and the choices are poor, but Hawaiian Shippers is the worst of the worst. Never even consider working with this low-grade outfit of scammers. Do yourself a favor and go with a more legitimate company like Royal Hawaiian if moving from mainland to Hawaii. read more

Do not use this company. Cost of mainland to Honolulu move was $6K more than estimate. Neither packers nor delivery people were company employees. Transit time was stated as 3 weeks. After several notifications from Mark Morales (the latest was 3 months after pickup), the household goods were delivered after 5 months! A repacking fee was charged for no reason except to give access to the 29 lost/missing/stolen items (including heirlooms). 34 items were totally destroyed beyond repair (how does an entire dining room table leg get ripped off?), and 6 pieces of furniture had deep gouges in them. Customer service does not exist. We are still asking for shipping identification information and being ghosted. We are surprised they remain in business. read more

This company moved my family belongings a year ago. Unfortunately, the team has not been responsive to my claim which was submitted over 3 months ago. We tried calling and emailing multiple times, trying to find a resolution without having to file a claim with them. This has been a very frustrating experience. It took over 60 days for our container to arrive (we were told we would receive our items within 21 days). We paid for door to door delivery. However, for some reason the driver unpacked a portion of the container and in the process our son's bike went missing. And now we have unpacked a box that had our family heirloom China that had been completely smashed. Our belongings should have never been touched. And further, the driver told the moving person here in Bend to "hurry and help him cover the smashed boxes" so we wouldn't notice all the damage. We have been patient and trusting that the moving company was working to make things right, but after we have left multiple messages and emails with zero response, I can't help but for my frustration levels to continue to increase. I sent a claim in AUGUST and still...nada! Not even an email back...So to Yelp I go in hopes that I can save others from the frustration I have gone through. We used Hawaiian Shippers for our SUV from Oahu to California. Kim is very nice and has great customer service on the phone and via email. They are probably the cheapest to use. And from Hawaii, everyone uses Matson to ship their goods. Yes, Hawaiian Shippers is a third party, but we went with them anyway for our vehicle. We decided not to use them for our household goods because we didn't want to put "all our eggs in one basket". But the price quotes to ships our goods was very reasonable. Our vehicle arrived in the time Kim estimated it would. Okay: so why only 4 Stars? When we dropped our car off at Matson, everything on the paper that Kim provided for our car to be good to ship was met.... Though at Matson's car inspection area, we found out that we could have kept stroller, car base and seat (for babies and kids) and any "reasonable car related items". Which probably meant items like a tire gauge, probably a car jack, etc.... But what really could have helped us was knowing that the baby related stuff could have stayed. That would have saved us the trouble of shipping those items separately, removing, installing, etc... So if I didn't have kids, for sure 5 stars. read more

Please please run. the owner literally told me "I don't normally tell customers this, but i wouldn't ever use our own company for a move if I had to" My family started our process 6 months early in April to be moving October 14, and got a quote from Remi in Honolulu for $8,088 to move from Seattle to Kauai. We gave them all the info we could gather and then, with our price "locked in" we kept living until September, when I called to reconfirm that everything was all set - and we signed the contract and I gave the deposit. As the 14th of October got closer, I reached out to Remi again to make sure everything was still on as I hadn't gotten any specifics about our things being picked up. He said everything was still on track. 2 days before the 14th I called again, asking for specifics about when the movers are coming. Remi informed me that Mark in California would call me about the specifics. An hour later Mark calls and says "hey, so you guys are driving your cars to the port an hour and a half away?" And I replied "no, Remi told us someone would take our cars from our apartment for us" and mark said "let me check on that I'll call you back in five" he never did. The day before our move, I call again. Multiple times, I hear them answer the phone and immediately hang up. I'm getting frantic, our stuff is all packed up, we have a flight in 4 days, we have a ton of furniture and other things that we need to move and our moving company will not answer the phone. i start calling other companies, telling them our story and they say we got scammed. i keep trying to contact them, and nothing. the move day comes and I call at least 15 times. Our apartment is full of boxes we're ready to go, and again we hear them pick up and hang up immediately. Now I'm realizing we're screwed. It's the move day, and though I got this quoted and started 6 months in advance, no one shows up on the move day. No one calls us on the move day. Nothing. completely ghosted. Completely screwed. the day after our move day (still with all of our stuff) I get a call from Mark. finally this guy calls me and says "hey Remi should have never quoted you what he quoted you, and now they're putting this on me and making me into the bad guy..." blaming all this on someone else. this dousch then has the balls to say so we figured it out, instead of this costing 8k like we originally quoted you, and took your down payment for, it'll actually be $16,000. So can we charge you and get you going today?" unreal. Absolute BS. yeah who doesn't just have a cool 8k to burn. i say no absolutely not, we're not paying that, our stuffs not even worth that much. he then tells me "we'll hey if cost is the issue, I'll let you in on a secret: I don't normally tell customers this, but i wouldn't ever use our own company for a move if I had to" he then tells us to go find some pallets, throw our stuff onto them, plastic wrap them and he'll get a company to come fork them into a truck for 4500 - but we have to take care of our cars and our furniture. with no options I say fine we'll try that. We get some pallets from the local grocery store and on the 15th, 2 days past the move date we're waiting on our sidewalk with our stuff on pallets and guess what: no one shows. fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. after that we gave up on them. had to move our flights back twice, get a second rental car, and sell anything larger than what we could ship in a small box - costing us thousands in lost property. All the stuff we were planning to keep - mattresses, couches, bed frames, desks, etc all had to go. then we sent literally wverything else through USPS. In total it cost us just under 10k, and we sold a bunch of stuff. and now, 2 weeks later our stuff is already here and our cars are here. hawaiian shippers quoted us for 2 or more months, USPS and Matson will get it to you in 2 weeks and you can track EVERYTHING. we used pirateship.com to make all of our labels and our experience with them was fantastic. hawaiian shippers is a fraud and a scam. No other way to put it, and capital one's actually going to help me go after them for all they cost us in this. again, do not do not use them. If you are looking for a shipping company DO NOT consider Hawaiian Shippers. I posted a full review so this is an addendum. When our goods were finally delivered a step ladder from another customer was offloaded at my house. After several attempts to have someone pick it up this company gave my phone number to the other customer so he could make arrangements to get his ladder. I'm not sure if he ever found the table saw that was also missing. Finally I still have about a dozen packing blankets the company was supposed to pickup weeks ago. They contact me but never follow through. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID BY HIRING THIS COMPANY. read more

Wow.. I can't believe I actually got scammed.. first, I searched for many moving companies and looked at several reviews and all of them seemed to be bad so I decided to just choose one and hope for the best.... I should've just sold and donated all my stuff and started from scratch at the new place.. I've been waiting for 2 months now (shipped right on Dec 1st) for my things and have been trying to get in contact with hawaiian shippers all day several times through out 2 months and there is no response except for a few times where they said that the port is backed up and there's no vessel to get our things.. I've already paid so much money shipping my things and now I'm afraid it's good as gone by now. Do they legit steal people's things like this? I've also called the port because Hawaiian shippers has been saying how it's super backed up but the port told me that it's not and this moving company sounds sketch. Moving is already so stressful and they make it 100xs worse. I researched a bunch of moving scams and what to avoid and this company was step by step what they were saying to watch out for... it's such a shame that I found this after the fact that I got scammed. This is horrible and I lost all my things.. These professional scammers are ruthless and make life harder for people... Also, all the good reviews are done by fake accounts. Just look on their fb page and look at the profiles of any of the good reviews. It's such a horrible feeling to get all your belongings stolen... there are also several complaints on this company on bbb. Mark is the best. I telephoned Hawaiian Shippers after calling more than a few other shipping companies and Mark gave me a quote right away for my daughter's (college student) apartment belongings incl furniture from Los Angeles to HawaiI. He made the process from beginning to end effortless including confidentally providing me with the specifics from pickup to drop off and everything in between. I can't say enough as if there were 10stars wouldn't suffice. we received everything perfect condition no broken glass or anything. The guys who did the packaging on the pickup end were great also. I used Hawaiian Shippers to move from Irvine to Oahu. I worked with Mark, who is understanding, a great listener, and proactive in getting the job done. Whenever I had an issue (and I had a few about receipts for my records), he would get right to it and help me out. He worked with my needs to get me the lowest price and for that, I thank him. I would give the service Mark gave to me 6/5 stars. Awesome guy. The pick-up and delivery was a little delayed. I had some of my items in San Diego and the company was happy enough to get it for me. But they gave me a 10-12 time slot but came at 2:30. Although the movers were fast and efficient while there, I was a little bummed that the dispatcher couldn't give me a more accurate time. The delivery was a similar story: I dedicated a day for them to drop off (they would call me an hour before delivery, pretty typical for movers) and when 4pm came about, I gave them a call. Turned out, the paperwork on their end got mixed up and they couldn't deliver on the day I took off from work. I was a little upset but the movers accommodated my schedule and they dropped off a couple weeks afterwards, which worked out fine and again they were efficient in unloading my items. My stuff: Almost everything made it! I had a leg of a chair that cracked but they gave me a contact for someone that would fix it free of charge. I had an outrigger paddle that also got lost but they immediately went to work trying to locate it. Once they did, it was in perfect shape and they dropped it off at a separate time. I also shipped my car which is done through Matson and it came within an appropriate time frame (2.5 weeks from drop off) and in the same condition. Would most likely use Hawaiian Shippers again if I need to do another move. read more

It has been a couple of weeks since my move to the Big Island. So I have now come down a little from the utter disappointment I have in Hawaiian Shippers. Everything was going OK on the mainland because Mark was very nice and accommodating. I have learned that was just to get the deal. Along with buying the rights to my own container, I also had asked them to setup my cars' shipping. The date for the car to be shipped came, I go to the docks to drop my car off at Matson (the shipper) no reservation was made. I had to do the reservation myself after giving the Hawaiian Shippers an extra $100.00 to get the reservation number. That was the tip off that things were not going to go well! We get to the Big Island. We were notified that the shipment had come to Honolulu and would be sent to the Big Island. We had expected some hiccup in the transfer of ships but 2 weeks later we understand it is on the BIg Island. Two and a half weeks after this notification, Gabe the shipper's contact man calls and arranges a drop off. After many false starts it finally happened. Expecting the large container I was surprised when a small rental truck pulls up into the driveway. Three men come out and start unloading our things. Here we had purchased a full container for only our stuff and unknown items start to come off the truck. When we inform the movers some of these items are not ours we knew we were in for a very long day. The crew was very amateurish. They had no tools to put things back together after the packing crew had taken them apart. The packing crew didn't put the screws anywhere near the appropriate piece of furniture. Several things they packed arrived broken. It was a mess. Gabe was nowhere to be found. The question still has not been answered , "If I bought my own container, how did other things get into it? That moving day they brought the same truck 3 times. Each time loading as much of my goods as they could and driving to its ultimate destination. And yes, each time they brought the truck "loaded with my stuff on it," strange stuff was also off loaded. It was an abysmal experience! If I can help one family or person from undergoing such an experience I will consider my job done. I would give them no stars if I could. Changed my review because Mark Morales extorted us for more money and we needed to get our stuff back. He kept out items for 3 months and gave us a Bill from matson for storage. This company is a SCAM. They are a break off of another large company that declared bankruptcy. Hundreds of people lost all of there personal belongings. Hero shippers, Hawaiian Shippers, Koa moving (maybe), all under further investigation currently. They have already been charged once, and dissolved into multiple companies doing the same thing. FBI is going after them. I pray Mark, and the owners of Hero all go to prison where they deserved to be. Scammed for $26,000. Most items damaged and broken, sat for 3 months, extorted us for more money serval times, promised storage, no white glove service, no redelivery, no putting things back together as promised and left things at the original location, container sat on my neighbors property without permission for over a week. Mark is the only person behind this company. He says he has a manger and staff, just him in his basement scamming people. Please don't use this company they are the worst. After they pick up your items they never communicate or send any inventory or invoice. It's been 8 horrible months of calling and emails to try and get a response. They have "lost", my precious cargo. I was told to file a claim for 60 cents a pound. *update* Our belongings were finally released from the port in California-but we've been waiting a week already for them to "try" to find a truck. Now our new problem is we paid for an exclusive 20' container, but our belongings were sent in a 40' which is what they're trying to drive cross-country and deliver to our home on a residential street. We are now told we may be charged EXTRA for shuttling if the truck with the container TWICE AS BIG as what we ordered can't fit to our home. When I said I ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT PAY MORE because they chose to use a container that size and that I would be updating ALL of the reviews I've left for them they said if I continue they will refuse to complete the delivery. So now we're at almost 5 months, our belongings are somewhere on the other side of the country in a container that's twice the size of what we paid for and not only may we have to pay extra for that, but if I don't keep my mouth shut they might just not deliver it at all. Well people need to know what's happening and I will not be told I can't share my experience because it is complete torture to have your entire life in someone's care that is threatening to charge you more for their mistake or might possibly just not deliver it all. My entire life, my kids beds, winter clothes, deceased family member remains, countless sentimental belongings, work clothes, dishes, cookware.... *copy original review*We shipped 2 vehicles and household goods. The first vehicle to be shipped went from Oahu to Los Angeles with no problem. The second vehicle was shipped to Texas. We called several times wondering what the status was and how much longer it would take when it was one week past when we expected it in Texas. I finally called Matson myself and found out that it had been available for pick up for 4 days already and Hawaii shippers hadn't arranged a trucker. After several days waiting to hear that a trucker was found we instead got a call from the driver that he would be here in an hour and we needed to have $1,000 CASH to take the car. No notice that it had even left LA and we had to scramble to find a bank to get the cash from. The household goods they kept telling us for weeks it was "stuck in a bottleneck in LA waiting for inspection. They didn't know we had an air tag in a box and they just lied to us repeatedly. Our things are about 6 weeks late now and there's no update on the air tag. We shipped in June and as far as we know it's never left Oahu. Do not use this company. read more

I shipped my household goods with this company on February 10th and it is June 2nd and I have still not received my items and the company is unresponsive. I've been contacted by this company once in the last 4 months and they are rude and abusive when I call to ask for an update. I have been told that my order is too small to matter for this company and they do not care about getting it to me on time. My shipment has been sitting in California since at least February 15th.
