I'm so glad I read other reviews because I probably would never have tried this place based on where it's located. It doesn't stand out from the multiple used car businesses and is small. Don't let that stop you from going there! It's a Korean/Hawaiian fusion restaurant. In other words, they have traditional Hawaiian food including Loco Moco, Spam musubi and Korean Bulgogi. They have teriyaki chicken as well. The four sauces available are made in house. The teriyaki isn't as sweet as most other restaurants but that's a plus for me. My husband ordered the Spam musubi and Beef Bulgogi. He liked them but brought his own Sriracha sauce to add heat. I'm sensitive to MSG so they told me don't order the brown gravy for the Katsu or macaroni salad. I appreciate them knowing their products for my sake. The employees are very friendly and helpful. They prepare the food as ordered so it took about 15 minutes when they weren't busy. It's not fancy just good. Many people piled in as we were leaving to pick up to go orders. Ive tried multiple items from here but Spicy chicken teriyaki is probably my favorite. Their spam musubi is also very good. The sauce they put on top adds to the flavor and presentation. Same with bulgogi fries. Two servings of spam musubi or just the bulgogi fries can fill you up. Make sure to try the strawberry lemonade as well. But don't forget to stir it before sipping! Their location is in a weird spot though. Hard to find at first. Service is good. No complaints. Make sure to get the stamps every visit. Only sodas are included for the free drinks from the stamp. I love Hawaiian food. Even though this place is a little far from me, it's worth the drive. We had their strawberry lemonade which was refreshing. We shared the two portion size of spam musabi, which we quickly realized that we should have gotten the four portion size. The fries were crispy and the chicken bites were about the size of grapes. The chicken in the chicken teriyaki bowl was sweet and tender. The katsu was crispy. We tried all four dipping sauces. If you're deciding whether or not to get the bowl or platter then get the platter. It's so good and you'll want leftovers. read more

Ordered Katsu Loco and Spicy Teriyaki Loco bowls, Bulgogi fries and a single (2pcs) musubi. The bowls are FULL of meat and rice and come with sides of macaroni salad and cabbage salad. Both delicious! Katsu was crispy and the gravy savory. Bulgogi fries were crispy and smothered in bulgogi and sauce. SO good! Musubi was BIG and delicious. Food came out piping hot, the gravy is absolutely delicious. It goes so well with the pineapple and egg. The texture of the rice was perfect too. We asked for their sauces on the side and the green sauce is so good. Two complaints: 1. The strawberry lemonade I got was delicious, but they put so much ice I did not get enough of the drink. 2. The mac salad is just whatever. It just feels like a filler item. I think if they added more acid and spice it would be a lot better. Overall, I would definitely come back to try the other items. I lived in Hawaii for 4 years and ate at many Loco Mocos (think chain fast food but Hawaiian-style) and this spot comes close but still needs some tweaking. The folks behind the counter are super nice, very engaging and even offered my son a Chupa Chups (common lollipop in Hawaii and even Asian markets like Lotte around VA). The service was friendly and as fast as possible considering they were cooking our food fresh behind the counter as we waited. The space is clean, you can tell they are proud of their establishment, there is space to sit and dine in, if you desire. They even have an Instagram worthy wall, if that's your thing. The menu is limited but I don't mind that, it spoke to me of comfort foods back in Hawaii. The sauces are flavorful, the rice sticky, but this is a Korean-Hawaiian fusion spot so there are some differences. The spam musubi was really really good, I couldn't get enough, the sauces and spices leveled it up for sure! But... I wish they also offered just typical/traditional spam musubi too (which would be no sauces except maybe a garlic soy between the spam and egg and in its whole form, not cut in half). The Katsu was quite tasty but it was over sauced, the sauce on the side would be better, especially to help it retain a true crunchy panko breading. The teriyaki chicken was my least favorite, the teriyaki wasn't thick enough or sweet enough, it was actually a bit bland, it would also help if it were grilled full-size pieces of chicken just sliced instead of cut in to bite size pieces... it lost that grilled flavor it should have. My last "complaint" is that the macaroni salad was not "saucy" enough... double the sauce and thin it just a little... the macaroni salad should be able to be scooped out with an ice cream scoop and retain its form, that being said, it still provides a good nostalgia of the islands. I should have tried their bulgogi because if I heard correctly, the owners are Korean and have never lived in Hawaii, so I'll bet (or I hope) that it would be the best of the meats. If the owners are reading this, lose the random cherry tomato... that's throwing money away and I'm guessing the cabbage salad perhaps is a fusion piece but it's also unnecessary for Hawaiian fast food... save money by not doing those things and spend more in quality meat. The fries are to die for by the way, that beer battered crunchy perfection with soft insides that I don't think anyone can actually say they dislike. The popcorn chicken needs a facelift, they tasted like minced chicken with filler? I loved the crunchy outside but was disappointed when I didn't find full pieces of meat inside (pssstt... use the same chicken you do with the teriyaki bites and those poppers with be 1000times better). I plan to return to try the bulgogi platter and get more Musubi and fries.... Hopefully they continue to evolve because I feel like this spot is on its way to being 5-star with a few small changes. read more

We got the Bulgogi (beef) bowl and the teriyaki bbq chicken bowl. I saw actual Korean people running the place and cooking the food, so I got excited about eating here. I'm from Hawaii and I miss the authentic Korean food you can get from many places over there. Plate lunches are a thing we miss eating which always comes in a takeout container and contain one large scoop (like an ice cream scooper) of macaroni salad and 2 scoops of rice, along with some type of meat or seafood. We got the the bbq chicken and Bulgogi bowls. The macaroni salad was okay but had a bunch of plain shredded cabbage next to it. Both dishes had a huge amount of onions mixed into the meat and chicken, which was not divulged on the menu. It's like they used the onions as a filler - to stretch out the amount of overall meat and chicken you get. The chicken was chopped up into little bits which we were not expecting. It's normally a whole thigh. Suffice to say, we won't return. read more

So I'm always on the lookout for a Hawaiian spot. I wouldn't say this is super authentic but that's not always what we need. I appreciate their take on Hawaiian food. It's fresh, hot, & delicious. All the sauces are scratch made and pair very well with all the dishes. My toddler even likes to dip the French fries in them. Speaking of, they are killing it with the fries! So good! I'm not a fan of slaw period so no opinion on that. I ask for double mac instead and it's never an issue. It could use a little more flavor & seasoning. This place is a new find that my husband and I tried this week. It's kind of in a janky industrial zone I. Manassas and the restaurant is a run down space, but the owners have tried their best to cute it up. I don't know anything about Hawaiian cuisine so I was interested in trying something new. The menu is small which is nice because I was I familiar with the food. I got the Loco Moco Bowl and it was very very good but just new to me. I don't know if I would order it again because the combination of the macaroni salad, gravy, fried egg, grilled pineapple, was just kind of confusing. I probably should have gotten it on a platter.
