The bar tenders here are cool and friendly people who pour drinks with a heavy hand, and understand the mission: get the patrons who want to be drunk, drunk. The first few times I visited, I felt a leeriness about ordering food. But once I got over myself, I kinda fell in love with the menu, and I've probably eaten everything on it (including the clam chowder). Their hot dogs are wonders to behold, utter symphonies for the senses, and I refuse to visit Shorty's without getting one. Best dog in Seattle? Why yes. I think so. I tried this hot dog when I wasn't even drunk or starving or anything, and it was amazing. It's sliced and grilled, which really bumps up the flavor. The bun is soft and a little chewy. It's hard to find good grilled onions. A lot of times they just don't have any flavor. These tasted great, and they also still had some crunch, so they weren't just goo. For $7, you can't beat the price. There's also a wide assortment of sauces. I particularly enjoyed the Sriracha mayo. I'll definitely be back!

They had various condiments and toppings available on the side including ketchup, mustard, sauerkraut, pickles and pickled carrots. It was just the perfect amount of food with lots of flavors. After we were done eating, we came by the stand to grab some napkins and the lady asked us how the food was. I thought it was a nice gesture. She really didn't have to say anything and she had quite a few customers in line. She was able to multitask and provide excellent service to every customer. This is a hotdog stand. There are no tables. Condiments and napkins are all self-service. Each hot dog was $12 (this already includes sales tax and tipping is optional).
