I don't recommend staying here due to Malik at the front desk and the General Manager. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to our wedding venue. I got two rooms for my bridal party. I called a month before to get a late check out for one room and to add an additional night for my husband and I after. I asked about potential fees associated with a late check out and they said they were very accommodating to weddings and while they couldn't guarantee it till the day of, they were likely to let us check out atleast by 3. We checked in 10/16 and met Malik. I revisited the late check out for the room. He said we could check out anytime. He even mentioned that they've accommodated other weddings by allowing them to check out as late as 6pm. He said a late check out a 3pm was no problem for us and was open to hearing if we needed anything else as well. As bride this was comforting. Unfortunately the general manager, showed up at the door at 12:50pm on the wedding day and told them they needed to leave by 1 and charged us before discussing with us I called for clarification where Malik later stated he never stated those things, was rude, often spoke over me. I told him to just charge us but when I attempted to ask for more clarification from the manager, he proceeded talk over me. We left right after our wedding due to our discomfort with this hotel. Rules are inconsistent and Malik was rude. You caused increase stress on my wedding day so brides go elsewhere. I don't know who the general manager is but I recommend that you and your staff get on the same page because this miscommunication could've been avoided, if I was given the correct information in the first place. read more

The positives: -The room/suite was clean and comfortable -We both loved the bed -The front desk staff was friendly and professional The negatives: -Housekeeping: they barged in on us 3x- even with the 'do not disturb' on the door because they thought we were checking out. Once was 8 a.m. on our first morning. Another time I was in the bathroom, and the third time they keep trying to force the door open with the safety arm on. We thought they'd come back later in the morning, they didn't. Total chaos. -We came back one night at 10 p.m. and had been locked out of our room. Not cool. -Breakfast: Skip it, it was terrible. We came from Toronto and decided to stay here instead of Boston, hoping to get a cheaper deal. We got a reservation through Hotwire for $120 CAD for 4 people in a room. This included all the taxes and parking. Perks: + Free Wifi + Free Parking + Complimentary breakfast Service (5+ star): We gave them a head up that we will be arriving around midnight to ensure that we do not get locked out of our room. When we arrived there the room we got had a pull out couch and a double bed. The pullout couch had no bedding on it... After talking to the lady at the front she switched us to a room with two double beds. She even called us to verify that we had no issues with the room. (5+ star service). Room (3.5 star): We were in the room only to sleep, so not too much comments. The beds were comfortable. There was no filtered water (we used tap water), and drip coffee available. They had free WiFi as well. They had a very small shampoo, conditioner bottles. Food (4 star): For the complimentary breakfast they had toast, bagels and cinnamon rolls. They had eggs (pretty flavourless but you can add your own pepper or ketchup if you want), sausages, hashbrowns and pancakes. They also had a small selection of fruit, and 4 cereals. They had a make your own waffle stand, which I used for desert. They had juice from a machine, which tasted fresh and coffee. There was nothing that stood out for the breakfast, but definitely edible with a wide verify of choices. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a cheaper stay near Boston on your long journey to Boston. The breakfast and free parking make it a worthy investment. read more

My best friend was married on 06.28.14 and had a block of rooms on reserve for the festitivities. This review is solely based on the customer service. My best friend was getting married at 7pm and needed her suite to get ready for 530pm. Check in time is 3pm...we didn't get her suite until 430pm. They had a guest who left at 12 pm that day who had lived in the suite for 3 months. It was a huge job we were told to clean it. .....4.5 hours though? Prioritize maybe?? Hire more staff? Take my best friend's family's 5 offers to help clean the suite? It was a stressful time and thankfully my room was (the only one) ready for check in at 3pm, so we had somewhat of space to get the bridal party ready. How do they make up for this? Two free robes and sets of slippers with Hawthorn Suites logos all over. Meh. Lame. I had my wedding at Lake Pearl nearby and selected Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham as the preferred hotel for my guests. This was a big, big, mistake. We had several issues, and I'm happy to detail all of them for you. Here goes! 1. Undrained Jacuzzi. When my wife arrived in her presidential suite the jacuzzi was filled with water, presumably from the previous guest (I wonder what was done in that tub... gross) and we had to reach in the water and drain it. ... gross. 2. Smoky rooms. Two of our guests complained that their rooms smelled like cigarette smoke. It was a non-smoking room. 3. Ripped furniture. Another guest complained that their couch had a rip in it. 4. Bumped from the room because "other people paid more." The Father of the bride booked another presidential suite weeks in advance using our promotional wedding rate. We were going to do a quiet afterparty in that room with several guests. When the father of the bride arrived, he was notified that his room was sold to another guest, because, AND I QUOTE "Another guest paid more for the room, so we gave it to them and downgraded you." So... yeah. 5. Trash in guest rooms. Simply put, another guest had food wrappers and other trash in their dishwasher. 6. Breakfast forgettable. Breakfast had limited options and much of the serving area was empty. It was almost as if they forgot how many guests were staying in the hotel that night. 7. No bellman, no cart, no care. This was our (the bride and grooms) first stop after our wedding so of course, we had dozens of presents with us. We needed a bellman's cart for getting presents into our room and the next morning, getting out of our room. Upon asking the front desk for help locating the carts they just shrugged and said, "I don't know where they are." Oddly enough they still had the energy and know-how to pressure me about leaving on time. 8. Dated. I could have overlooked this, but while we're piling on this hotel is super dated. Looks (and at some points smells) like a 1989 hotel that was never touched since. 9. Bad customer service. After everything else, this seems silly. But we were just married and they didn't say congratulations or... anything. But then again I wouldn't expect that sort of thing since they couldn't do 1-7 right. If you're looking at this hotel for your Lake Pearl event, tell your guests to drive further to another hotel. It is worth it, TRUST ME. read more

I've stayed at quite a few extended stay hotels and this is a solid choice for the money. It includes breakfast and happy hour (Tuesday to Thursday). Never seen an actual dishwasher in one of these places, always had to hand wash everything and that gets pretty old. The fan in the bathroom makes so much noise I have to shut it and the lights off. It let me pay online with my pre paid debit card and once I got there he told me he couldn't accept it for the deposit because it wasn't "FDIC insured" I then flipped my card over & showed him where it said FDIC insured. He never even tried to scan it through. Meanwhile I'm outside after that SITTING ON THE GROUND on my laptop In the heat trying to go on my laptop and transfer money etc, nothing worked. So I then asked for a refund he told me he couldn't do it and that I had to go through Priceline. I call Priceline and they tell me it's up to the hotel, they call the hotel and they deny my refund saying I was a "no show"!!! So ridiculous. They kept my 204$. read more

I was there for a week on a work trip. Pros; The employees were great, very nice and helpful. No issues with any of them. The room I was in was nice, kitchen and living room area, separate king size bed and bathroom. The room was a bit older, but not bad. House keeping came everyday and did a great job. A decent breakfast in the morning and two free dinners on Tuesday and Wednesday. Hotdogs and beans one day and chicken pot pie the next. Nothing fancy but it good. Cons: The rooms are paper thin. The first night there was a couple arguing in the hallway outside my door. They were in the room right across from me. Then later on some lady was walking up and down the hall swearing about something. During the night all I heard were the people above me walking around. They turn water on and I heard it. The next night I went to go to my room and saw three of Franklins finest (who were very nice and professional) standing in the hall outside my room. I left the area and came back a few minutes later when they were not busy. The guy in the room across from me was escorted out. The entire week this continued with the noise at night. Needless to say I did not sleep well. It wasn't a hotel that you felt safe. Not sure if they rent rooms out by the month or not. All in all I will not be staying there again. My first stay at this location felt like the honeymoon phase, where everything felt amazing. But this second time around, the paradise I once knew disappeared. My boyfriend and I stayed in a room on the third floor. First we noticed the side of the mini fridge was broken. We notified them right away so we don't get charge for it. Then the next morning after taking a shower, I noticed the shower curtain had mold growing on the bottom of it. Along with that, the complimentary lotion was half used. We told the housekeeper about the mold and she stated that she will give us a new shower curtain. By that time, we were simply done with that room. So we requested a new room. Oh my gosh, much better than the previous one. Although we found two glass beer caps on the carpet near the fridge. How did they vacuum the room and missed that! Like the last time, the pool area was great. Unfortunately the jacuzzi did not get hot. The breakfast is still delicious like the last time. I highly recommend the waffle! And the awesome nightly complimentary cookies are always the highlight of the evening. I still like this Hawthorne but the cleaning condition needs to improve. read more

This place is a hole. I booked this room as a treat for myself for Mother's day, to get away from my young children for a night. It was grad weekend in Providence, so I had to head outside the city, and found a room with a jetted tub here at a reasonable price. The only reason this place gets two stars is the HUGE jetted tub, which filled quickly from the ample faucet. It was great. There was a piece of one of the jets (cosmetic) sitting on the side of the tub when I got there, but I didn't sweat it. As others have said, the place needs a major face lift. Bath fixtures and electrical sockets are old and cracked/yellowed. There is a hair dryer from 1976 on the wall in the bathroom. There were two holes in the blackout curtains that seemed to be moth related. Also, the bedding is abominable. The bottom sheets are ill fitting, with completely dead elastic. They were not put properly on, either. There is no top sheet. Instead, there is a duvet with a sheet like cover, which is also ill-fitting. The duvet itself is not secured to the cover by any means, and it does not close, just folds over at the end. The effect was that after a few minutes in the bed (by myself, watching tv) I was in a tangle of sheets. I had to get out of the bed and re-make it, and still awoke entangled in the duvet cover. Whatever was running the fan for the thermostat in the room was so loud, I had to have the TV up just to hear, which was ok, because I could hear everything coming from the rooms around me, too (luckily I was on the end.) The thermostat itself was very responsive, although the amount of dust on the vent was concerning. There were also loud knocking sounds which came from the fridge. The breakfast was nothing to write home about, and when a woman asked if the nuts on a muffin were peanuts, they had no idea! (I was under the impression that MA was VERY strict about this stuff with food service.) They were also stingy with the spray for the waffle maker, you had to find them to ask them to spray it. I'm not sure I would stay here again. The tub was pretty terrific, and it was convenient to the highway, while feeling suburban. The front desk staff was very nice. Unfortunately that big, beautiful bed was totally ruined by the lazy way it is made, and the noises and sub-par cleanliness make this a tough sell. read more

Terrible. Dirty. Unfriendly. Stayed 3 nights and it got worse as it went along. You can hear everything going on next to you. Even worse, the housekeeping staff at 8am likes to make sure everyone is up by talking to each other loudly and being on their cell phones while they work. We had a "bug graveyard" next to our one bed. Seems like they didn't vacuum the area between the bed and wall for maybe a week. At least the bugs were dead. Just glancing around you can see how filthy the hotel was. Check out the air conditioner on floor 3, hunks of dirt and debris clearly visible in the air vent. Stains on all the couches and chairs in common area. Other families that we were with complained about the rooms smelling (smoke). Needed a couple extra washcloths. We were told, "I'm sorry the hotel is sold out and we do not have any more." A friend was told the same thing about towels. When we asked about a late checkout, we were denied that also. Seemed every answer that came from the staff started with "No." Not all staff were bad, they just were not good. Oh, and the breakfast that ends at 10am? Better get there early. We showed up at 9:45 and they were already breaking it down. Don't ask for coffee at 9:50 either, you get a rolling of the eyes and a heavy sigh. Asked for a receipt for our stay and they wouldn't print us one. Had to be emailed. Never got it either! Needless to say, a very unpleasant experience. Welcome/Check-In Experience The front desk agent was slightly creepy, but very friendly nonetheless. Check-in was quick and easy. It took less than 5 minutes. Room The room was FREEZING! The heater was off and there was still snow on the ground outside. It was very chilly and dark. I quickly turnedon the heater and settled in. The room was very dark.The decor was very outdated. There is a small kitchenette. There are two coil burners, a small sink, dishwasher and utensils. The dining table doubles as a desk, but is odd because there's a broken rolling desk chair and a regular table char (that was pretty beat up). The refigerator was a small mini-fridge from the 1980s. It had wood paneling on the front. It didn't really cool much, but I didn't use it that much anyway. There is a microwave in the room as well as a small coffee machine. I didn't use either. The room had a worn out old hotel-couch and a matching worn-out coffee table. The dresser and all other "wood" furniture was also well-worn. The room has a nice flat-screen LG television. Lighting in the room was poor. The lights by the bed couldn't be controlled by a lightswitch. There is a vanity area that was convenient for drying my hair. There was a chair there as well. Bathroom The bathroom was smaller, but adequate. The shower was slippery and I was concerned that there was residue left from either soap or the cleaning product used. The towels were really hard and almost see-through. I found a pubic hair on a hand towel. Obviously, I didn't use that. The shower head had rust on it and the water spray wasn't even - it was all over the place. The water did get very hot. Bed The bed had a pad on it and it was really hot at night. The pillows were totally worn out and there were only two pillows on the queen-size bed. Every other hotel I've ever stayed at has several pillows. The pillows were really small. I don't even know where the hotel would have gotten these pillows from. They were so small. The sheets were clean and were not that hard. Heating/AC By the time I settled into room and took a shower, the heater had come on. It was really hot, so I lowered the temperature back down to 70 degrees. The room would not cool off at all and the heat kept coming out of the heater. I ended up opening the windows each night in an attempt to regulate the temperature. If I didn't have the heat on, the room was way too cold, but I could never get the heater to turn off, so I had to open the windows up, even though it was about 16 degrees at night. Gym The gym had a couple of treadmills and some other machines. It was pretty small. The treadmill was kind of wonky and uneven. The hotel also ended up having two brand new ellipticals and a recumbent bike delivered in boxes during my stay. Unfortunately, these also stayed in front of the elevator for the week-long duration of my stay. Apparently, the gym also offers a free pass to a local gym, which I was not aware of until my last day. Parking The parking isn't that great here. There is a row in front of the hotel and maybe 20 spots on the sides of the hotel. Based on the number of rooms, I'd expect a lot more parking. When I stayed, there was still a lot of snow on the ground. The hotel didn't really clear this off of the parking spots and I found myself regularly running over mounds of ice and scratching my vehicle. Overall The hotel staff is the only thing keeping this place afloat. They were very kind and always answered my questions. They said good morning and good evening and wished me a good day. The rooms definitely left something to be desired. I'm really shocked that this is a Wyndham property. If this is what they're projecting, I don't even want to know what is going on at the main Wyndham hotels. There is nothing within walking distance. The hotel does offer breakfast, but it's limited. I think the hotel definitely needs a major remodel. I hope this improves so that the employees can continue providing excellent customer service. read more

This place is absolutely terrible. My friend had booked the presidential suite for the days leading up to her wedding. When she checked in, they told her the room was unavailable, and they only offer those rooms upon check in. My friend booked that room 8 months in advance and had an email confirmation. When she said that, the staff person told her "Let me see it" and my friend showed her. The GENERAL MANAGER, JUSTIN, was locked in his office and refused to come out the entire time. They waited an hour and a half the night before her wedding to be placed in a room, (which the hotel was "booked" that night) when finally they placed her in the already booked suite. Thankfully the people that were placed in that room were gracious enough to switch rooms. When we arrived in the room, the tub drain was clogged, we waited 2 hours for an extra cot, and the towels we asked for? They came the following morning. We accidentally locked the bathroom door from the outside, and a staff person opened it, with a kitchen knife. And the staff? Rude, miserable, not accommodating, and idiotic. The shuttle service the hotel provided for the bride and paid $150 for? Well let's just say that should be comped because we almost crashed about 10 times in a 5 minute span. DO NOT STAY HERE. this hotel is awful and I'm going to be in touch with corporate because this was the worst experience of my life. My best friend had a horrific experience the night before her wedding, and even the morning of. Absolutely terrible, this company should be ashamed of themselves. The male front desk person must think he works for DHS or ICE asking for information not required by any other hotel in the world. Asking for everyone's ID not just the person who made the reservation and was extremely rude. Not to mention he took 45 minutes to show up while a line started to gather of people looking to get checked in. The regular rooms are small with little space to move around. No kitchenettes just a small microwave and fridge. TV barely worked and wasn't worth dealing with Captain nutcase at the front desk. Even people buying candy and water from the store were forced to show ID and he even made a kid go get his parent to buy a water and candy bar because the kid had no ID. This has to be his own policy because last time we stayed here the female staff was exceptional and none of the BS he did was ever done by them. Talk about someone who will cost you business, we're suppose to come back to the hotel 2 more times in the next few months and starting to consider staying elsewhere if this is what is going to be the new normal for a subpar low end hotel. The Marriot is far more high end and polite. The rooms are a lot bigger and everything feels like a hotel should. Here it's rude staff, construction, sub par food, tiny gym not worth the time to use because it's barely has anything inside it. More dust then gear, the pool and hot tub looked neglected and unattended to. I get they're trying to improve the looks but they may also want to improve the staff as well. Like I said the 1st stay was good the friendly female staff made up for the chaos caused by construction. But the white male at the desk this time made the trip a total miss and far from relaxing. No other hotel does what he did or require extra questions to be answered like names and IDs of everyone staying in the room. If he wants to join the police, ICE or DHS he should start by loosing 40 lbs and then applying but given he's over 30 he will never make it so I guess he feels the need to be law enforcement for Hawthorne and drive their business in the toilet. Whatever happened to a smile and customer service. This is suppose to be relaxing not a detention camp. read more

My daughter and I stayed there 2 nights when we were in town for the One Direction concert in Foxboro. We got there 45 min before check in time and they had a room ready for us already. They gave us a care package with 2 bottles of water, a pack of M & M's and microwave popcorn. That was so nice! They also had a list of places to eat and shop in the area. The room was clean and a good size. One day we wanted to go to Cape Cod and they printed a map for us off the computer. The only little complaint I had was the breakfast. There were so many people staying at the hotel because of the concert that they could not keep up with the food and most of it was empty when we went to eat. I recently stayed at the Hawthorne suites while I was getting some work done to my house. I picked it so let off of its cheaper price than the other hotels in town. Needless to say my 3 night stay was fantastic. First off when I checked in they had a social dinner thing going on. Hamburgers and hot dogs and lemonade. Not 5 star dinning but it was free and convenient. It did not taste half bad either. Next night it was salad night. Breakfast is also complimentary and pretty darn good. The gym and pool were also adequate and very clean. The room I stayed in had a 2 comfy queen beds, a kitchenette, dining room table, couch a few chairs. And a bathroom. All were clean and seemed new. As a regular business traveler I will certainly be giving Hawthorne suites around the country my business as I was very impressed with the one in my own backyard. read more

Had no heat in my room (broken thermostat) and it was 38 degrees outside...called the front desk at 11PM..they sent someone up. Couldn't fix it. Called back (1:30 AM) they offered more blankets and an apology. They couldn't give me a refund as the room was booked through Booking.com...The next day they offered the customer rep who called on my behalf from Booking.com 50% off. I then called myself and spoke with Dustin, the manager who offered no apology - though he was polite...but told me "company policy" was to only offer a discount. Unreal. Never again. read more

So, my husband and I stayed two nights at this hotel. Immediately upon entering the hallway, I could smell this unidentifiable smell all throughout the hallway(s). It was so unpleasant and actually made me gag. Once entering the room it was saturated with cheap room spray and that slight scent from the hallway all mixed together. We got the king suite room with kitchenette. The room (and inside the hotel itself) was very outdated! The carpet was so old and I felt even though the room was tidy and had been cleaned, it still gave off a dirty vibe to it. The bathroom I found random hairs on the floor and by the sink. The pull out mirror in the little vanity area, had small hairs on it as if a man had just trimmed/ shaved his bread. The bathroom was old and outdated. Wasn't a fan of the shower head at all. The mini fridge made a very LOUD nose and was very disruptive at night. Do to the high ceilings there was an annoying echo every time my husband and I spoke. The bed was ok.. not the greatest, but we both felt like we were going to get bed bugs. Again, it had this dirty vibe to it. The pillows sucked and were worn down and old. I would have given this place at least maybe a 2 Star... except for the fact we found a spider crawling on the wall and another small fruit fly sorta bug hanging around our ceiling/ bathroom walls. Also, on our last night staying there as I was trying to drift off to sleep, I kept hearing a buzzing sound. I asked my husband if he heard something and he said no and thought it was in my head. I laid on my back and heard nothing... after a few minutes of not hearing anything, I figured, maybe he was right and I was just paranoid or hearing things. I rolled over onto my side facing the wall and closed my eyes. Loud buzzing sound once again. My eyes opened and I stared over at the wall/ windows. I saw nothing and tried closing my eyes again. Couple seconds later and the buzzing was back, this time when I opened my eyes I saw a bee/ wasp and I shot out of bed, screaming to my husband, "I told you I heard a buzzing sound." Ran into the bathroom and shut the door until he knocked with the dead bee/ wasp in a tissue. What an experience! The price was decent, but this is somewhere we'd never go back to. We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Mansfield the next night and that room was leaps and bounds better than our stay here. read more

Great amenities and service. Was visiting colleges in Boston with my daughter and stayed based on amenities including indoor pool & hot tub, location and price. Was not disappointed. Checked in around 6pm on 2/17/17 and gentlemen taking care of front desk was great (sorry didn't get his name). He welcomed us, was very friendly, very informative of hotel amenities & area, personable, outgoing and professional. Later gave us list of restaurants in area and remembered from check in why we were there and asked colleges we visited. The lobby was nice with nice complimentary breakfast area which was very good. Not ultra modern rooms but not badly dated either. Beds were very comfortable with great pillows. Room had small table with 2 chairs, small microwave, large dorm style fridge, flat panel TV, ironing board and iron. Room was clean and nice. Only complaint would be with room was could hear pipes turning on water to next room that woke me up next morning. The indoor pool & hot tub area is on small side but was nice and did the trick. If there was lounge/bar would have given 5 stars based on value and amenities. Would definitely stay again if in the area. read more

Room smelled awful like mildew. Dirty cups, uncomfortable beds and horrible customer service! My husband booked and paid directly two weeks prior to our stay. He was told that the final price with dog fee was $153.70 which my husband paid. Upon arrival we were told by a rude representative that the fee was not included and we needed to pay the additional $75 pet fee for one night. She barely spoke English so it was very frustrating talking with her. At check out I realised our card was charged $225( Room rate plus pet fee, another $82(pet fee) and yet another unknown $10. On top of that we had already paid $150+.The same representative from the night before checked me out. She said something to the effect that it would not process and the card always runs a hold but does not charge, at least that's what I got out of the conversation. Again, it was hard to communicate with her as there was language barrers. I kept going around and around with her but became very frustrated. The supervisor rudely popped out from out back finally and I tried to discuss with her about how we already paid and the pet fee should of already been included and why were we being charged another nights stay with pet fee and additional $10. Basically, after going around and around with the pet fee and the charges she became very rude and said there was nothing she could do and handed me the General manager's card. I told her this was unacceptable and we will not be returning customers. She just shrugged her shoulders, as to say oh well. She did absolutely nothing to even try to resolve or make things even a tiny bit better. They both told me not to worry about the $225 charge that it would not go through. I'm assuming so I would just stop asking them about all the charges. But within two hours it had processed at our bank and all four charged cleared. My husband left several messages for the general manager. A few hours later we get a call from the assistant manager. The $225(a electronic error???) was resolved and put back into our account, but once again the assistant manager told my husband that he could not do anything about the pet fee and said only the general manager can. My husband became frustrated and said that is why I have been calling him. But you called instead. Then my husband got fed up and hung up. The general manager has yet to return my husband's call. What was supposed to be a nice family getaway turned out to be a miserable sleepless night and out $225. Never again! read more

This hotel is not recommended! I booked through booking and upon check in I was told that that room I reserved was not available and I had to take the room I was given since the hotel was full. I had to make several phone calls and the manager finally gave me a 20$ per night credit. The hotel room had a lingering cigarette smoke odor that management didn't seem empathetic about. After 5 minutes in bed the first night there my 14 yr old daughter was bit by a bed bug. I made several calls to 2 managers there my phone calls were never returned. I did get a call from the hotel insurance company wanting photos and information. After several emails and phone calls to the insurance rep she tells me there's no proof the bite came from their facility and that it wasn't a bed bug bite therefore she was denying my claim! I'm just appalled by the lack of respect and concern by this Hawthorn Suites in Franklin Ma. Very unprofessional and I will never stay at this or any other Hawthorn Suites! BEWARE!!!! read more

We were staying at a hotel this weekend for a local dance competition and ended up at the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham in Franklin, MA. Although several of the dance family rooms were not clean, that was only part of the issue. We had a block of rooms for this event and come to find out we were quoted different nightly rates. When I confronted the first desk person about it last night, I was given a litany of excuses and was told to come back in the morning to a supervisor as she could not change it (although she already had for at least one other family). I complied and talked to the "supervisor" this morning. After similar excuses, he said he also could not change it and I would have to call the Director of Sales, which I now have done. I made it well known to the entire hotel lobby more than once that it was not about the $13 difference but that they were playing games and I did not like dishonesty. Whatever happened to "the customer is always right" and wanting to have return customers? Suffice it to say, everyone that reads this should avoid this hotel like the plague!!!! read more

This hotel was referred by the organizers of a regional hockey tournament so one would expect a hotel full of energetic kids and a hotel staff aware of the revenue coming in. For a small dumpy place, the management should be grateful for the business not upset that kids are basically being kids. 9-12 year old kids want to play knee hockey and the hotel had an empty conference room that they said could not be used (even though it was empty) and if we wanted it, we could rent it at a high price. I wouldn't let my dog stay at this dump. It was dirty, rooms had peeling furniture, a breakfast from the microwave and a manager who should be thankful for a full hotel and learn how to accommodate. Do NOT stay here next year for the tournament. Plenty of other options in that area that will appreciate your business in the middle of January- without this tourney they might have been 10% full. Place will be out of business in no time. read more

Stayed here for two nights while in a training nearby. Very convenient location (right off the highway). Room was comfortable, nice hot water, great Wifi connection, and it was a nice feature having a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave in room. The breakfast was also great. Would stay again if I was in the area. Only complaint was that you could occasionally hear the traffic from highway at night since we were on that side of hotel- would request a room on other side next time. read more

attended quilt retreat at hotel for three days. single room/suite was beautiful, complete with stove, dishwasher, plates, pots/pans, refrigerator. bed was comfortable. staff was friendly and accommodating providing us with as many tables as we needed, extension cords,ironing boards, irons. tv/dvd player. breakfast was wonderful. stayed three days and every morning, there were different items. great location, close to many many restaurants. we will be back next year. read more

The one positive is that hotel staff & front desk are really kind. The hotel however is very run down. The indoor pool was ice cold & looked very murky to swim in. My children could not swim in it. The gym was very dirty. The floors looked like they hadn't been mopped in a while & there was very minimal equipment. The hotel room furniture was very worn, scratched and falling apart. We went to use coffee cups provided in our room and they were sticky and dirty. The free breakfast was also not great (powdered eggs and very stale hash potatoes). The hotel is located in an obscure industrial park with all sorts of construction equipment in front. No curb appeal. I would not recommend this place. read more
