Attention! Be warned: the managers here withhold important information, manipulate the situation,…read moreand change the terms without proper notice. I am facing a major issue with how my lease renewal was handled and unsure if it can be resolved. I'm also planning to write a separate review about my overall experience living here for two years. In late November 2024, I received a written notice that my lease would end on January 26, 2025, and I was required to notify them 60 days before whether I'd renew or move out. I went to the management office to fulfill this request. I introduced myself, provided my apartment number, and told the manager in person that we would not renew the lease. I also asked if it was possible to stay five additional days past January 26 and pay for a full month instead of prorated days. The manager checked the system and assured me everything was fine. I left confident that the matter was resolved. However, the manager didn't offer me paperwork to sign or suggest I send an email or provide written notice to confirm my decision. I trusted my in-person visit and conversation were enough, as I followed their instructions to notify them 60 days in advance. For the next two months, I received no follow-up emails, phone calls, or reminders from the office. On December 23, my husband received a text asking if he had any questions regarding a month-to-month lease starting January 27. Confused, he responded, and the office claimed we hadn't provided proper notice, so they switched us to a month-to-month lease. My husband, not knowing I had already visited in November, replied we wouldn't renew. Despite this, we received no formal communication about our lease status or move-out process. On December 30, I got an email stating we would be charged for a month-to-month lease due to allegedly late notice. Since I had already informed them in November, I believed this was a mistake caused by frequent office management turnover. I called the office and explained that I'd spoken to the manager two months earlier. The current manager denied responsibility for the previous management's actions and claimed she had no record of our conversation. When I asked when she started working there, she admitted it was in late November, the exact time I had visited. That evening, I went to the office with my husband. The manager initially denied recognizing me but later admitted she did. I asked why no one had followed up with me for two months, and she showed me that she had supposedly sent two emails. However, I didn't receive them. I've received other emails from the office, so how could I miss these? It seems these emails were either sent to the wrong address or intentionally withheld. I asked the manager if it wasn't her responsibility to ensure the process was completed when I came to notify them. She paused, then said, "No, it wasn't my responsibility." This negligence has caused unnecessary stress and financial burden. The manager, knowing I had already completed the necessary steps, found an opportunity to make us pay an additional $2,000 by blaming us for late notice and switching us to a month-to-month lease. I strongly caution anyone considering moving into this complex to document every interaction with the management office in writing. This situation reflects poor communication and unprofessionalism that has been present throughout our two years here. If anyone wants to contact me to resolve this, please note I do not want to engage with Kate Netzer or the head manager. If this issue is to be resolved, it must be through someone else from the management team. anastasiiaplastun@gmail.com

I would never recommend anyone to move here. there is garbage and dog poop all over the property…read more police are here several times a week. Parking is horrid, good luck finding a space and even if you find a spot, the spaces are so narrow that it's hard to even open a door. more than once ive had to crawl through the passenger side because I cant open the drivers door, even though both cars are in the lines. worst of anything, they will tow your (or one of your guests) with zero warning. its one thing to write a parking ticket, but to disrupt you or your guests' lives without a warning is unacceptable. I don't know if there is a contract between the Kendall and Big Daddy Towing, but both seem predatory. I get difference answers from both parties and they each blame each other. meanwhile, they charge you over $300+ for the tow, plus playing for an uber to get back to the tow lot, and, missing time at work to settle everything. I cant think of any reason other than being greedy, that anyone would tow a car that was safely parked and not blocking anything like another car, fire hydrant, or parked in the middle of the road that would block emergency vehicles. it's either on Big Daddy Towing or the Kendall management, they both blame the other. I'm always petrified that I'll get towed for a third time, because both Kendall and Big Daddy Towing just decide to tow a car with zero warning. I've starting having guests park in a nearby business because visitors spaces are not clearly marked and they tow anyone without any prior alerts and im scarred they'll tow my guests. maintenance is super slow, and every time I've requested an issue it takes a minimum of three submissions to get an problem resolved. they usually just mark the request solved and won't touch it until they get a third request. the absolute worst is that they don't communicate with residents on what's wrong and when they will fix it. I'm not that familiar with the apartment options around Indian Trail, but I would strongly recommend looking at another complex.

They charge for pest control but never treat. We paid a separate company out of pocket just to make the place livable. The management is so unprofessional. You'll be sadly disappointed if you choose to make this dump your home!!!

I recently moved out, only because I ended up finding my next home, but lived at Encore for two years and it is 5 stars. From the staff to the maintenance to the amazing amenities Encore delivers. I can only say I am surprised by some reviews, but if you are looking for an apartment for a limited period, or extended, call them. Just a few things I will highlight: Rooftop Pool, Saturday morning brunches for residents only, from Reid's, Krispie Kreme, The Flying Biscuit and others, including some amazing coffee food trucks. Again, worth considering if you're in the apartment search!

I'd considered renewing or at least going month-to-month but didn't get a reply. As so often happens, it was for the best. This disgusting germ spreading pest removed any doubts about leaving if the other situations hadn't. I've always been told with respect to cockroaches/roaches, if you see one there are more that you aren't seeing. I was just comfortable with knowing what to expect here (and moving is a pain), but that's not a good enough reason to stay given how I've been treated, and I'm ignoring how I was treated my previous residency here. In any event, finally saw it last night crawling across my bathroom wall & smashed it with my broom. The Zevo I'd nearly emptied on it didn't work...at all. Unfortunately, I can't give this community more than 2 stars because of my experiences of late and an ongoing one where it was implied I was the cause of the trash vendor's behavior. I'd posted a review to Apartments.com using their job role not names, but it was rejected. So much for that site's impartiality.
