Attention! Be warned: the managers here withhold important information, manipulate the situation,…read moreand change the terms without proper notice. I am facing a major issue with how my lease renewal was handled and unsure if it can be resolved. I'm also planning to write a separate review about my overall experience living here for two years. In late November 2024, I received a written notice that my lease would end on January 26, 2025, and I was required to notify them 60 days before whether I'd renew or move out. I went to the management office to fulfill this request. I introduced myself, provided my apartment number, and told the manager in person that we would not renew the lease. I also asked if it was possible to stay five additional days past January 26 and pay for a full month instead of prorated days. The manager checked the system and assured me everything was fine. I left confident that the matter was resolved. However, the manager didn't offer me paperwork to sign or suggest I send an email or provide written notice to confirm my decision. I trusted my in-person visit and conversation were enough, as I followed their instructions to notify them 60 days in advance. For the next two months, I received no follow-up emails, phone calls, or reminders from the office. On December 23, my husband received a text asking if he had any questions regarding a month-to-month lease starting January 27. Confused, he responded, and the office claimed we hadn't provided proper notice, so they switched us to a month-to-month lease. My husband, not knowing I had already visited in November, replied we wouldn't renew. Despite this, we received no formal communication about our lease status or move-out process. On December 30, I got an email stating we would be charged for a month-to-month lease due to allegedly late notice. Since I had already informed them in November, I believed this was a mistake caused by frequent office management turnover. I called the office and explained that I'd spoken to the manager two months earlier. The current manager denied responsibility for the previous management's actions and claimed she had no record of our conversation. When I asked when she started working there, she admitted it was in late November, the exact time I had visited. That evening, I went to the office with my husband. The manager initially denied recognizing me but later admitted she did. I asked why no one had followed up with me for two months, and she showed me that she had supposedly sent two emails. However, I didn't receive them. I've received other emails from the office, so how could I miss these? It seems these emails were either sent to the wrong address or intentionally withheld. I asked the manager if it wasn't her responsibility to ensure the process was completed when I came to notify them. She paused, then said, "No, it wasn't my responsibility." This negligence has caused unnecessary stress and financial burden. The manager, knowing I had already completed the necessary steps, found an opportunity to make us pay an additional $2,000 by blaming us for late notice and switching us to a month-to-month lease. I strongly caution anyone considering moving into this complex to document every interaction with the management office in writing. This situation reflects poor communication and unprofessionalism that has been present throughout our two years here. If anyone wants to contact me to resolve this, please note I do not want to engage with Kate Netzer or the head manager. If this issue is to be resolved, it must be through someone else from the management team. anastasiiaplastun@gmail.com

Kelsey one of the managers was the rudest person I met there, she yelled at me over everything and took her advantage of her "manager" role. She has cussed me out in the kitchen multiple times and gotten mad when I would walk ANYWHERE in the restaurant mind you, I was getting things for my residents, respectfully I don't know how she still has a job there because she was one of the main reasons I quit, so disrespectful, doesn't care about the servers and talks bad about TEENAGERS at her grown age. The managers love to pick favorites and would taunt the people they didn't like by giving them the worse spot to work in and even when they were injured and couldn't do that specific role but nobody cared. The kitchen has an angry bird named Henry who also likes to cuss out the children because he cant control his anger as a grown man by the way, another person who took advantage and wasn't even a manager. Mario he was disrespectful and the same age as me and treating me like a child because the managers let him, he would yell and cuss people out because he felt like he was above everyone else mind you he's in the same position as us. But its okay because this was his career and this was my teenager job. HR has known about these problems and have done nothing but get rid of the people who opened their mouths.

I would never recommend anyone to move here. there is garbage and dog poop all over the property…read more police are here several times a week. Parking is horrid, good luck finding a space and even if you find a spot, the spaces are so narrow that it's hard to even open a door. more than once ive had to crawl through the passenger side because I cant open the drivers door, even though both cars are in the lines. worst of anything, they will tow your (or one of your guests) with zero warning. its one thing to write a parking ticket, but to disrupt you or your guests' lives without a warning is unacceptable. I don't know if there is a contract between the Kendall and Big Daddy Towing, but both seem predatory. I get difference answers from both parties and they each blame each other. meanwhile, they charge you over $300+ for the tow, plus playing for an uber to get back to the tow lot, and, missing time at work to settle everything. I cant think of any reason other than being greedy, that anyone would tow a car that was safely parked and not blocking anything like another car, fire hydrant, or parked in the middle of the road that would block emergency vehicles. it's either on Big Daddy Towing or the Kendall management, they both blame the other. I'm always petrified that I'll get towed for a third time, because both Kendall and Big Daddy Towing just decide to tow a car with zero warning. I've starting having guests park in a nearby business because visitors spaces are not clearly marked and they tow anyone without any prior alerts and im scarred they'll tow my guests. maintenance is super slow, and every time I've requested an issue it takes a minimum of three submissions to get an problem resolved. they usually just mark the request solved and won't touch it until they get a third request. the absolute worst is that they don't communicate with residents on what's wrong and when they will fix it. I'm not that familiar with the apartment options around Indian Trail, but I would strongly recommend looking at another complex.

Where do I begin? Let's start with the fact that the apartment they showed me is not the one I got…read more The other apartment had a big cabinet that was ceiling/wall mounted and offered lots of cabinet space. This one does not. That should've been the thing that bothered me from the beginning. Showing me one thing and giving me a different unit. Let's move to the biggest disappointment to living here: nothing works. Set aside the crappy paint job, the horrible smell of the carpet that I had to complain about more than 4 times to get it cleaned to make it tolerable, the fact that there are NO handicap spaces (very needed), or the constant bugs. The refrigerator is a college dorm sized and has NO shelves. It freezes food in the refrigerator section; or the food goes bad because it won't cool it. There is no in between. Management has completely ignored the issue. Repeatedly, I have filed a maintenance requests and they send a completion without any details. Just because someone lives in a studio does not mean they don't eat. It means they live in a small space for convenience. The amount of money that has been wasted because they refuse to fix or replace the fridge is almost as much as the monthly rent. Side note: The range was broken for SIX months! The knobs had no info on them, they fell off frequently, and the oven stayed on all night a couple of times. Six months of having to use a countertop cooker while food is rotting in the fridge. I reported it multiple times and continued to get ignored. FINALLY, a really nice maintenance guy named Tristan, went out of his way, and to his corporate supervisor to get a new range. It arrived today. The refrigerator is still a major problem and it seems to me like this could be considered recklessness on their part. The manager doesn't want to do what is asked, so I have resorted to calling them out publicly. Did I mention that all of this is being done to a SEVENTY NINE YEAR OLD WOMAN??? Did I mention that the maintenance guy had to go to his Corporate boss to get the range fixed because the local manager chose to ignore the risk of fire? I am furious over how little they give a damn. They nickel and dime the crap outta their tenants. They charge for amenities, even if you don't use them or want them. They charge you to pay your rent. Yes, you pay almost $4 a month to PAY THE RENT. My point is, if you are looking to find an apartment that'll be economical, this is not it. It sounds like it is affordable, but you spend a whole lot more wasting your money because they don't fix anything. They post these nice pictures online but those aren't real. ***After posting this, a brand new mini fridge was delivered and installed into my mom's apartment. Tristan is the hero in this story.
