They have always provided the best solutions for my computing needs (PC). So, I recently purchased my 1st MacBook (A1278), for a great price. Little did I know, that the Logic Board needed replacing. HB Computers replaced the Logic Board & had my MacBook working great, within 5 business days. They even upgraded my Operating System & RAM. All this was done at a VERY reasonable price. One thing is for sure at this place, your IT & Computing needs are their passion. Amir & his Team of Professionals have been in business & solving customer problems, of all kinds, for just over a decade now. I was surprised to know that they were happy to come out to our Real Estate Office in Irvine, Ca. We had two new agents working from our office & both needed a network cable drop (CAT6) inside the wall, to join them to our existing network. Kevin (Network Engineer) & Jeff (Network Cable Technician) came out & provided a PERFECT, quality installation, in one day. This included wall plates with CAT6 keystone jacks & shielded CAT6 Cables. They even tested the new cables for correct wire mapping & data rate speed. They also tested our existing CAT5 cables & provided print-outs of All these test results, to make SURE that we had a properly functioning Network before they left. At HB Computers, it is just so obvious that Amir & his Team do TRULY care about their customer's needs, on a professional level & a personal level. They are capable of solving even the most difficult & complex IT & Computing Issues of any kind & truly love building custom gaming systems ( from scratch ). This Company's Lead Technician, Kevin, also happens to be a very knowledgeable & professional Network Engineer. Rudy (Technician), was so helpful at the Front Counter also, he has a wealth of knowledge & is able to diagnose any system problems with 100% accuracy. HB Computers was actually able to retrieve nearly 5 thousand photos from my Sister's "DEAD" hard drive. Two other places wanted to charge over $800 for this service (plus a $50 diagnosis fee). I sent my Sister to HB Computers & they were able to retrieve ALL of her photos. This was done through their Partner Company (clean room data recovery service), for only $450, with NO Diagnosis fee for this type of service. My Sister was so happy that she went there. Amir takes a Special Pride in dealing with Each & Every one of his customers, they are NEVER an interruption into his "day to day" operations. First, let me say that i turned to yelp to seek out a reliable service to assist me with a 27" iMac that was severely acting up. I had not ever actually signed up for yelp or written a review before, but did know that visiting the site was a practical way to make consumer decisions when pertaining to local businesses. ...and especially privately owned business. it was quickly apparent that HB Computers would be a wise choice. their reviews were remarkable and i respected the responses and thankfulness of the owner in the replies. which brings me to the owner and staff of HB Computers. My MacBook Pro had stopped working so I took it to the Apple store. They said that they might be able to fix it and it would cost me to have them check it out. The estimate to fix it was too much for me at the time so I decided to see if I could a better price from another computer repair service. I found HB Computers on line and gave them a call. The quote I received there was much more reasonable so I took the computer to them. I needed to replace the logic board. After 3 long weeks I received a call that they were unable to fix the logic board and it would need to be replaced. I was very disappointed because this is what they were doing all along. I decided to just pick my computer up and take it back to the apple store, believing that it was best to let Apple work on my Apple. This time I was told that it couldn't be repaired and even considered buying a new one. Before I acted I decided to call HB Computers back to see what they had done. Amir assured me that only he could repair my computer. Amir agreed to fix it for the estimated cost he had given me. I took the computer back to Amir. Just a few days later I received a call from Amir that the computer was ready for me to pick up. True to his word he stuck to his estimate ever though the actually cost was much more. Amir true to his word. This was so impressive to me to find a service based company that valued its customers so much that he was willing to take a loss in order to insure I was pleased. I brought my hp dv7 motherboard in for repair 3 weeks ago and it works like a champ after they got done with it. I have one desktop which failed to update to Windows 10. My HP laptop, which my sister gave to me as a Christmas gift had lots of outlook, email , contacts , calendars and notes which got transferred like MAGIC at this place and I have had four PC's fixed & they all work like a champ and HB Computers is a really good place to get your computers fixed and their prices are really good and the workers there are very nice there. I was having serious problems with my old Pentium 4 computer, so I looked on-line and found someone who could help. I found HB Computers listed, I called them, and there technician came to my house to solve my problems. He named his company well, because he really is one savvy person for solving computer problems. Technician found the problems, and solved critical issues by replacing my hard drive. That was very important he did the replacement without losing any of my data on the old hard drive. WOW! I didn't think this type of service existed any more. PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGEABLE. I left a message asking for some information on repairing my Macbook Pro and I received a return call right away. These guys were very knowledgeable and their price quote was fair so we set up an appointment to pick up my laptop. They arrived on time, looked over the problems with the laptop, gave me an estimated time frame for the repair! The best was when they completed the repair in the estimated time frame. To say it is "inconvenient" to be without your computer is certainly sarcasm and HB Computers kept that time to a minimum, returning my laptop in no time so I would have it ready to go for the work week! I had a crisis with my computer because I spilled water on the key board. It was a crisis because I teach on line and I could not afford to be down even one day. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from HB Computers. Not only was the repair process significantly delayed, but the quality of the repair was far below expectations. My laptop was returned to me with the same issues it had when I initially brought it in, and in some cases, the problems were even worse. Communication throughout the process was poor. I was not kept informed of the status of my repair and had to constantly follow up to get any updates. The staff seemed disorganized and uninterested in providing good customer service. To make matters worse, the cost of the repair was much higher than initially quoted, with no clear explanation for the increase. This experience has left me feeling frustrated and cheated. I had a terrible experience with them. I brought my laptop in for a simple data recovery and screen replacement. Initially, they seemed professional and provided me with a reasonable explanation of what needed to be done. As a computer guru of +30 years, having owned my own computer maintenance business for 10 years, and having succesfully repaired crashed hard drives in my computers, as well as others, I was very reluctant to take my nephew's computer, with its crashed hard drive, to HB Computers. Amir was able to recover the data, even though it took him much longer than anticipated, for which he did not charge me extra. My nephew chose to purchase a used computer from Amir and he placed the recovered data on this computer without charge. As most my experiences went it started off rough but Amir gave me great service and went above and beyond on my Mac Book Pro. I had a very frustrating experience with this laptop repair company. From the start, their communication was extremely poor. I was given vague timelines for when my laptop would be repaired, and when I tried to follow up, they were unresponsive and unhelpful. When I finally got my laptop back, not only had the issue I originally sent it in for not been fully resolved, but there were additional problems with the device that weren't there before. I came in one day with MacBook Pro 2013 with a water spill. I was told it would be $50 for the diagnosing the issue and once I dropped it off they gave me a call later that evening. I gave the approval and the next day it was ready for pick up. I couldn't be any happier with the service and turn around time. Amir was a great help and super nice!
