I tried Headyworks beer for the first time at the Livermore Valley Half Marathon afterparty and loved it. So I was very happy that they opened a brick and mortar brewery on the edge of town! Their beers are unique and creative, but always refreshing. I really enjoy their hazy IPAs and my boyfriend loves their sours. They offer a nice variety of beer options and I have yet to be disappointed. I especially enjoy their hazy pale ale because it offers all of the hops and flavor of a traditional hazy IPA while being lower in alcohol content! I love the outdoor space at this brewery. They've recently upgraded their patio furniture and it is such a nice space to spend a sunny afternoon. The last few times I've visited, there has been a BBQ food truck available. Best brewery in Livermore. ;)

I first tried Headyworks at the Livermore Farmers Market and immediately bought a pack of their pineapple sour. We were excited to see that they opened up a shop since we hadn't been able to see their pop up after that. Their sours are so juicy and not too tart. We tried Pineapple Party, Mango Michi and Forbidden Fruit. The pineapple was the most tart, mango in between, and the last wasn't sour at all. All were delicious and tasted like fresh blended juices were added. We also tried a hazy IPA which we enjoyed as well. There is some indoor seating at the bar with most of the seating outside under shade. Not a huge space but I'm curious to see what they do with the open area by the entrance. One of our favorite breweries in the bay is Fieldwork, and the beers at Headyworks fills that void. I only wish the location was a little more central or closer to downtown and opened on weekdays but it's worth the drive!

Is this the new Livermore hidden gem???? Are you kidding me with this place!!? So so cute!! The beers? Guys I'm not a beer drinker, never have I ever enjoyed ANY beer but the beers here!!!? They currently have 6 sours that are absolutely fire! Pineapple beer that actually tastes like pineapple? Never heard of that. They have a mango flavor, blood orange, and a fruit punch flavor called Jungle Juice'd. And all of them are made in house! When are the hot trio ladies working behind the bar again? I'm only here for them! Parking is plentiful on the dirt road, the cutest little alleyway down to an open patio filled with laughs and good memories. Everyone is so nice here...very new, very vibey, and very clean!

They have good hazies and sours here! We dropped in Sunday around 4pm and it wasn't that busy. Staff was really nice to let us sample before committing to pints. The mango michi pulpy sour was our favorite. The sour slammer pulpy sour, Finish Him! Hazy ipa, and Hella Pale were also good. Big outdoor area. Seating indoors is at the bar. We brought our own snacks to snack on.

2 Delicious sours of the 4 they have.

But their "Finish Him" New England Hazy IPA is also good, and seems to be their most popular signature beer.

That especially goes for their hoppy beers, which happen to be my favorite. Altamont is located in a semi-industrial section of Livermore, with many wine tasting rooms and other breweries in the vicinity. The space is a large warehouse with bar taking the central space and a ot of seating spread out. They have multiple TVs and a projector that were all showing NFL football. It was Sunday after all. Throughout the years, I've had many of the Altamont beers, but it's always best to try them out from the source-in their freshest form. I can happily report that despite the changing trends in craft beer industry and declining revenue overall; Altamont is still one of the better breweries in the area. From 10 beers we sampled, not one was something I wouldn't order a full pour of. Obviously, West Coast IPA is what they do best, but even the Oktoberfest and nitro stout weren't bad. The service was quick, and I'll definitely be back when in the area next time. Helpful tip: either get a meal before coming out, or check that there is a food truck scheduled, as Altamont has no kitchen. I didn't notice any restaurants in the walking distance either...

They have added some infrastructure improvements such as a large grass area for kids, plus a nicer interior, including bathrooms. The friendly bartender Maddy, explained some of the improvements. The owners obviously take great pride in this location. On a pleasant spring afternoon, there were tons of people gathered around. You can bring your kids, your dogs, even grandpa and grandma. They smoke their turkey in house apparently, and you definitely got that smokey flavor from it. I ordered a Caesar Salad too as the side and it was delicious. A properly made Caesar Salad that you can still taste the anchovies in the dressing. Minus a star because our waiter kept forgetting things, whether it was one or two sets of utensils, one or two waters, one or two straws, he kept having to come back and forth from the kitchen which is kind of a far walk in the establishment (on opposite ends from our table, really). Also I would've appreciated if they had mentioned to us to book the games in advanced before it became all sold out. We had a big party and the least they could've done is to foresee that we would potentially like to play some bocce ball or whatnot after and ask us about it.

This review is about the food. OMG. What a pleasant surprise! You expect "okay" food - this was WAY better than OK. This was fantastic. I had the ahi fish tacos - a must order. Light and airy shell with a tasty ahi mix insert. Could very well be the best fish taco I've had - it's not your traditional "here's some tuna and cabbage in a corn tortilla" taco and that's a great thing. It's unique and amazing. Our friends split a pizza and salad and raved about how perfect the pizza was. They wanted a crispy crust and got what they wanted. My wife ordered the stuffed mushroom appetizer in her crafty way to embellish her beef hamburger with bacon. She asked medium rare. She got medium rare. Very enjoyable. Our service was beyond great. It wasn't super busy and often the staff gets distracted when it's not busy - in this case our service was perfect. Da Boccery ambiance is obviously linked to all the entertainment that's there but the tables are nicely separated from the courts and simulators, and even during bocce or the simulator, there are comfortable couches and tables if you want to eat there - we did drinks there, then ate in the more "restaurant" area of the place. We will absolutely be going there just for the food and that says a lot.
