I asked if she knew anyone who offered Ashi in San Jose, and without any hesitation she highly encouraged me to reach out to Rung. I had the most fantastic 90-minute Ashiatsu massage from Rung at Thai west Massage. She is small yet mighty! I prefer deep pressure, and she applied the perfect amount where it felt comfortable and still strong enough for me to feel something. Rung was very attentive to my needs for the day and provided a well-rounded full body massage. I was deeply relaxed at the end of the session, and I also had a better range of mobility in my neck and shoulders. Ross (Rosalyn) works for herself and by herself so she manages all the bookings via text so allow some time for responses. As for commentary on her candor, if it's not for you, then it isn't. Grow some thicker skin. She's frank but not disrespectful. Her talent, pricing, and results make it worthwhile for many of us, based on her regulars. Her space is a bit dated but clean, dark, and comfortable. As someone mentioned, it's no Burke Williams so manage your expectations here. Cash preferred and considering she keeps her prices reasonable-it would behoove you to return the hard work with a nice tip. She offers 1 hr, 1.5 hr, and 2 hr sessions. If you're new, I'd recommend the 1 hr to start with and maintain with the 1.5 hr sessions to make the effort worthwhile.

All have their own styles but there is something fundamentally lacking - they all typically take a one size fits all approach - working from the back down to the legs, then front for a bit and then wrap up. This is even with masseuses I've used many times - I'm guessing the massage establishments just train them that way. However, Karalyn combines massage with PT, really working problem areas and going hard at it. The result - you get the therapeutic benefits of the massage and the science of PT, which drives rapid recovery where you really need it. As only a rare and excellent massage can deliver, I ended light-headed and felt like jelly. As only great PT can deliver, I felt lighter on my feet afterwards with a cleaner posture and wider range of motion (and less pain and injury risk). All this from the convenience of home. Came in to see Leslie this morning for 1hr massage + 30 min a reconnective healing session & had a…read morewonderful experience! the building itself was very easy to find, along with the suite inside the building. The office & massage room was decorated beautifully, very welcoming! I told Leslie I needed work on my right mid/low back & that I trust her to use her intuition to take over from there. The table was heated, the sheets were comfortable, the music was very soothing & I felt very safe! During the massage Leslie used a great medium pressure which was perfect for me. The warm up was great, she paid attention to my breathing & what my body needed. As the massage went through I found not only were my problem areas addressed, but that she was great digging for other areas I was unaware of & paying mind to those spots, too. When it came to the energy/reiki work what I loved is that her instructions were thorough, it was very easy to calm my mind & be present in my body. I had an adventure in my mind that left me feeling extremely grounded. Which is EXACTLY what I needed. I will definitely be back for more work in the future.
