The staff is unbelievably friendly - feels like family (always amazed at Matteo the manager referring to so many regulars by name!!). I had been going to Dream Dinners and loved the concept of preparing meals in advance, but I didn't like the use of frozen meat and produce and pre-made sauces of unknown origin. I went to Healthy Creations today and I was really happy to see that it is mostly organic and fresh produce, and pasture-raised meats. If gluten-free and organic are important words in your diet, you will absolutely love Healthy Creations. I initially frequented Healthy Creations for their meal preparation. Fresh ingredients in a Ziploc bag with simple instructions on preparing meals at home - after I had my baby four years ago I relied on these meals nearly every day. Since their expansion, I have been going at least once a week to get things from their cafe or grocery selection. All of the food I have tried is wonderful - from their sandwiches to their salads, smoothies and chicken strips (which my son absolutely loves). There is a lot of selection, whether you are/aren't GF, vegetarian/vegan, etc. I have brought many friends to dine here and they have all really enjoyed the food. Highly recommend! read more

Found this place through Yelp, looking for healthy food. We came by last Saturday and the staff was super friendly, despite the fact that we got there 10 minutes before closing. My fiancé and I split the turkey/brie/spinach panini and the acai dessert bowl. Everything was amazing! The prices are obviously higher than your average cafe type place, but it's totally worth it, and the portions are good too. I'm excited to go back and try everything else on the menu! read more

This place is amazing!!! I got the veggie panini and it was fantastic! The goat cheese was a nice touch, it filled me up the rest of the day too. I just got the meal to make at home and it was the coolest thing ever. I forgot what the name of it was but it was chicken, bell pepper and bean soup. It was soooo outrageously easy to make. I highly recommend it for busy people trying to be healthy. You heat everything for 30 min so as soon as you get home start cooking, then go change into pjs pour some wine and put a show on and by the time you're hungry it's ready!! I love this place! They've got great food, great staff, and a great environment. They have a wide variety of gluten-free and vegan options! I highly recommend Healthy Creations! I teach childbirth education classes (HypnoBirthing) and encourage my clients to stock up on their prepared meals so they can have plenty of nutritious food readily available for after the baby comes. Their new cafe is awesome! I got a wrap with a coconut wrap...very paleo friendly. It was really yummy! I also love that they have Kombucha on tap! I'm pretty disappointed that this place has so many good reviews and I didn't get the same experience. Maybe this just isn't the place to go if you want an acai bowl. I ordered their organic acai bowl today to-go and for nearly $10 this was the most pathetic amount of food. I literally had about a 1/4 a cup of granola, one sliced strawberry and maybe around 1/4 of a mango cubed. They didn't even fill up the bowl they give it to you in. I ended up having to buy more food at another place. I definitely won't be back. read more

This is a place that you go and prepare a set number of meals on site, take them home and freeze them, then thaw them out and cook them througout your busy week. The concept is not new, but this is the only one I know of in San Diego County that offers healthy, organic choices for meals. Really disappointed! I tried this place out, because I love healthy food and was looking for a takeout alternative, but all three meals I ordered were terrible and very over priced. I ordered the Ruben, which had little meat, dry hard bread and was tough to swallow. My daughter had a grilled cheese that was prepared on flat, hard burnt bread with slightly melted cheese and my husband ordered a chicken sandwich that was drowned in a orange sauce and looked like tuna. He took two bites and threw it away. Our 3 sandwiches and two drinks cost over $30!!! I heard from friends that it has great food, but I sadly did not have the same experience. read more
