Have wanted to try this place and finally did for lunch. Had the chicken salad panini with a green salad. It was awesome, cooked perfect, flavors popping in my mouth and I was so happy. It is a little pricier, but the freshness and taste are so worth it! Hey have many glutton free, dairy free options too, including in the bakery and their own line of protein powders too. I got a brownie to take home and share with hubby too, which we devoured after it had been sitting in my hot car all afternoon. Again this was delicious! Will be back again for sure. read more

It's my first time here in this unassuming little place in a strip mall. It was highly recommended by a friend; she was right on. I love my power bowl but I set aside half for later to leave room for dessert. The raw lemon bar was awesome! I also tried the caveman coffee- espresso, ghee, coconut oil, and almond milk. Delish. This place was absolutely amazing! I had the butternut squash soup and the California Sandwich. The soup was delicious. Had a great texture and there were so many nice seasonings in it that made the all around flavor great. The sandwich was also great. The bread wasn't dry at all, which you often see with gluten free bread. The breadsticks that came with my soup were dry, but didn't taste bad. High marks on the food. I've been frequenting this place for years and even though I live in Los Angeles now, I make it a point to factor in a stop on my trips down to place my customized order. There may have been a notable slip in service and food prep when they focused their foundational resources on the inception of Eve (a sister Vegan Bistro on the 101) but that ship seems to have since taken a fortuitous turn! As of my last visit on Friday, August 2, I placed a to-go order over the phone and my food was ready by the time I got to the counter. The Mediterranean Salmon (not on the menu) is the way to go. FYI: The quiches (especially the mushroom or veggie) are great too. Either way, I like the Powerhouse shake with avocado and spinach (custom) to wash it all down. By now, I'm familiar with the tenured staff and grant automatic leniency to new faces. Bright smiles help! One point of improvement that may help with the sometimes congestive nature of a restaurant/bistro, is to make more judicious use of the second check stand. The line can stagnate especially as a result of customer indecision. This is a kid friendly venue so while it's great to see the energy bustle throughout the shop, it can be a hazard. read more

This place makes THE BEST gluten free cinnamon roll I have ever had since going gluten free 15 years ago- and I have tried many. The serving size was huge for $5 and so much frosting and cinnamon goodness. Winner winner. They also had a brand of kombucha I had not seen before in a blue glass bottle- I got the mango ginger honey- BOOM. The place was hopping. Definitely a hidden gem of Encinitas. I wouldn't have even known it existed without seeing the sign spinner holding up an organic cafe sign. I thought whaaaat a cafe I don't know about and its organic? I went in with high hopes and my expectations were exceeded. Super laid back place, the server was super helpful and friendly. Their No-Gluten atmosphere had many delicious options. I got the paleo protein plate and it was delicious the egg yolks were bright orange so I knew they weren't lying about the goodness involved in their produce. I also got the dessert bowl (hardly a dessert with all the non processed healthy ingredients) but it was amazing. A little on the pricey side but you're paying for the goodness that you're putting in your body, and I felt amazing after my meal! A friend told me about this place. It's across the street from the Michael's on El Camino Real in Encinitas. They offer oodles of gluten free options as well as vegan and non-vegan selections. I'm a gluten free & vegan, a hard combo for any eatery. Healthy Creations is fantastic! Their gluten free, vegan BLTA (vegan bacon,lettuce,tomato,avocado) on their handmade panini is to die for! It's even better toasted! The lemon cupcake was scrumptious, the salted caramel cupcake was divine, the carrot cupcake.....not so much They offer food to purchase in their refrigerated section. I hear they have good dairy free pesto, but I haven't tried it yet. I recommend their handmade dinner rolls. Pop them in the microwave for 20 seconds, smear with a dab of jelly---HEAVEN! I wish they would offer a few more vegan sandwich & wrap options on their menu. Some kind of spicy, southwestern, black bean, avocado, wrap thingy would be a nice addition. I had one of your salad today and it was the worst salad ever!! First of all, whoever was the chef was forgot to cut the kale into smaller pieces, and kales were too large and they were very dry. The carrots were very lame and no taste at all and absent of salad dressing. Orange sunrise smoothie is so flavorful (Blood orange, cashews, spinach, baobab super fruit, veggie protein, and choice between raw honey or stevia and vanilla). There are two cold brew flavors Mexican which has a spiced flavor and original which is naturally sweetened with berries. I sampled both and ordered the Mexican cold brew.
