I think this place is fine. I am not impressed with the server or the food honestly. We got a variety of dishes to eat and share. Clams were good, garlic bread was extremely bland and flavorless. The "spicy" rigatoni was not spicy at all and a little bland. The chicken was dry on top. My lychee cocktail was good. The inside is pretty and clean.

Came here after few weeks ago for brunch with my friend. It was both our first times here and I can only speak for myself, but I definitely enjoyed it! The staff were friendly, and Drinks were strong and tasty. I ordered the Russian Twist and loved it. Their brunch menu is small, but you get a good amount of food for the price. I'd definitely come back here!

I was excited to learn that Hearth Kitchen was acquired by The Platinum Dining Group. My husband surprised me and made reservations for dinner for their Grand Opening. When we arrived, we were greeted by several people and seated in a booth. The remodel is beautiful, and the small table lamps are a nice touch. (Nothing worse than trying to read a menu in a dark restaurant). The menu is simple and I love it. They have something for everyone, offering pastas, salads, fish, homemade pizzas and more. We started off with cocktails and two appetizers, the Tuna Poke and the Fried Calamari. The calamari was very good and the sauce was spicy but I liked it. The tuna melted in your mouth and I liked the grilled pineapple. The cocktails took a while, and one drink went back twice because it wasn't right. The server apologized and the manger did as well. For dinner we ordered the Seared Halibut and the HK Smash Burger with french fries. The halibut was cooked perfectly and I liked the corn and little pasta. The smash burger was good but tasted salty and I liked the bun. For dessert we split the Budino, a vanilla custard with coconut, hot fudge and mini butter cookies. It was delicious! Overall, the food was great but the service was not. We had to ask for water and our food and drinks took a while to come out. However, it was a busy opening night and the manager did comp us two drinks for the mishap. Once things get worked out, I am sure it will be amazing. It's a beautiful restaurant and an awesome location in Kennett Square. The Platinum Dining Groups restaurants are all wonderful, and I can't wait to try it again.

This has been one of the most perplexing dining experiences I've had. We came to Heart Kitchen after visiting the Longwood Gardens. We saw the decent reviews online on Google, but regret not checking Yelp first. Our visit to this restaurant was on a Monday afternoon and was almost empty when we arrived. Even though there was plenty of staff available, it took a while for us to get our order. The menu is confusing. I'm not sure if this is a Mediterranean or American type of restaurant. The ambiance was quiet. We had the Chicken Milanese and Gnocchi. Both tasted ok but not great. However, we were disappointed by the plating. The plating was some of the worse I've seen. The chicken milanese was completely covered by the salad. The Gnocchi did not look appealing at all. Highly disappointed that we came here.

Decided to check out Hearth Kitchen after seeing that they are under the same family as La Fia and Merchant Bar in Delaware. The restaurant is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. I made a reservation for a Friday night. Overheard the hostess saying that they were completely booked for the next two hours. The restaurant filled up pretty quickly. The restaurant has happy hour from 4-6. The portion size was great. The cast iron crab dip was tasty. My only complaint was that the pizza ends were a little too done for my liking. I decided to go with a wood oven pizza with half meatballs and cheese. The meatballs were a weird texture but the pizza was flavorful. I always like to check out the dessert menu before I visit a restaurant, but I could not find a dessert menu on their website. The waitress brought over a dessert menu and I was relieved. I ordered the bourbon butterscotch pudding. The perfect ending to my meal. The desserts seem to be seasonal. I saw an apple tart on their social media page but did not see it on the menu. The restaurant was family friendly and saw several families come in with young children. If you are visiting Longwood Gardens, you should check out Hearth Kitchen.

The food came out a little slow though but worth it. Starters: Brussel Sprouts: 5/5 delicious and made well. The skin lightly fried but not charred. Rib rolls: 4/5 The shredded short ribs could be a bit more moist and flavorful but pairs very well the horseradish aioli. Chicken Alfredo: 5/5 likely on the of the best Alfredo I have had. Grilled chicken was perfect not too dry and flavorful and the noodles cooked to perfection. The sauce was flavorful but not too heavy with cream like most places. Meat Lover Pizza: 4/5 Solid pizza! Well balanced and not overly salty. French Onion Patty Melt: 5/5 Perfect medium cook and delicious. Not too salty. Onions savory and sweet. Perfect crunch of the bread. Chicken Caprese: 4/5 It was good. Pesto brought a nice brightness to balance the heaviness of the fried chicken. Overall: 5/5 a great place that delivers well on their food. Out of six people only one dinner was edible, the short ribs. I'll start with veal al sudo, described on the menu as jumbo crab meat arugula topped with veal medallion, sounds great right? What we received a plate Frozen vegetable carrots and broccoli amount of mashed potatoes and on top really bad looking veal, see picture,. One of the other dish was ziti arrabiata, how can you screw that up all it is is red tomato sauce with red pepper flakes, right? Well what we got instead was pasta swimming in a red sauce with chopped up peppers chicken and then on top melted mozzarella, the sauce tasted like it was burnt at the bottom and they scraped the pan, not edible. Now how can you screw up a margarita pizza? After all fresh tomatoes fresh mozzarella and basil, right? No, heart as a rock crust regular melted cheese on top, droplets of some kind of tomato sauce overly spiced and no fresh mozzarella, I asked for arugula on top, and that was the only good part of my pizza was the arugula. You would think that a restaurant that wants return clientele would make it right credit you for the food that you did not eat that they took back into the kitchen, but no they decided to only credit 1 margherita pizza out of five meals that were not edible. When I questioned are waitress crediting us for the rest she did not answer me she looked at me and walked away. We left and will not return. normally I always give a restaurant a second chance when they make the effort to make the customer happy, but not this time. Not sure if they have a new cook or possibly going through hard times. They gave us free dessert to take with us as we were leaving thinking that would make up for the bill that we paid for all the uneaten food that was not edible.

We initially planned to have dinner at the restaurant, but our GPS led us to the adjacent sports bar with the same name. We were seated at a high-top table near the bar and greeted by our friendly server. The menu was similar to the restaurant (I think), but regardless, we were looking for pizza and a beer. They offer two styles of crust: NY-style and Neapolitan. We ordered a cheese pizza with the latter wood fired crust. Our pizza arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was fine. The crust was not as light as I thought it should be. The pie was a good size and plenty for both of us. Service was great the entire evening, and we enjoyed our meal.

I wasn't sure what to make of it as I would have expected a full house on a Saturday night. I'm going to start with a few opportunities. First, the initial glass of water I was brought was not clean. There was literally some food on the side of it. Second and keeping on the topic of water, the waiter did not come back to fill empty glasses of water. Next, I was looking forward to the tomato garlic bread but it was hard when I but into it. Finally, my counterpart ordered a burger and after eating about half of the burger, each bite was like biting into a pallet of salt. It was like someone accidentally spilled a salt shaker so he obviously couldn't finish it. On the positive side, the place was quiet which was nice, the manager (or maybe it was even the owner) when we asked for more water bought us a carafe so we didn't run out again (which I love), and also when we left I accidentally forgot my takeout container on the table and again the manager (or owner) ran out after us to get it to us which I appreciated so much. Relative to the food, it was average (minus the salt side of the burger which was not good). The soft pretzel appetizer was good and I had lasagne which was decent enough. I will say it was a huge lasagne portion (two squares)! Overall, I'm not sure I'd go back with so many other options.
