My friend and I shared a sampler which came with 3 mozzarella sticks, 2 chicken (boneless option with Garlic Parmesan/Buffalo side sauces), catfish (side of tarter), and about 6 fried pickles. Everything came out with a ready to eat temperature. Another thing we ordered was spinach and artichoke dip which automatically came with salsa/sour cream and chips. This was an interesting experience. Schools in the area were closed due to possible severe weather. I had a fundraiser coupon card for Heartland Pub and grill. I initially had my reservation because I didn't know if it was a family friendly establishment (smoking allowed or not, no kids menus etc) To my surprise... They didn't allow smoking inside - YAY. ** Also Tuesday was kids eat free night. Lucky day!? Maybe so .. We were greeted and seated promptly. Amanda was our server and she was a sweet as can be. She checked on us frequently and even interacted with my daughters. They loved that. The music blaring in an empty restaurant is definitely ear catching as I heard explicit lyrics from 2 Live Crew and Afroman coming the bar jukebox. It was strange to hear that in a public place so loud. I thought at first it was from the kitchen so I asked. Our server said yeah they are playing that music in the bar area. She mentioned her country George Strait was playing over in our area... I couldn't really hear that. Not a worry too much..our girls didn't pay much attention to the louder explicit music. Food choices - the girls had sliders and catfish. Both of which were super tasty and my oldest daughter said "this catfish is fantastic dad!!!" I was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I split the Chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, & green beans. We ordered the gravy on side... But the kitchen may have missed that note. We also added a side of sauteed mushrooms, and fries onion rings. The onion rings never made it... So I had the server make sure it wasn't on our final ticket. The chicken was good and the mushrooms were decadent! Mashed potatoes needed a little help... We still ate our meal in it's entirety. All in all I was ambivalent on the overall experience. Not sure if I can talk the wife into trying them out again or not. We do live in the area so maybe it's a chance!? The decor and the staff are definitely trying to make it comfy and cozy. My boyfriend and I met my daughter and her boyfriend at their recommendation here on Saturday evening. It was pretty early so the place was not packed and we were met by a great hostess who sat us. Our waiter was nice and very friendly. The place is really cute and they were having live music later that evening so it looks like a fun place. The menu is pretty extensive so it should be able to feed anyone's diet unless you're vegan probably... I went with a steak salad and I thought it was absolutely delicious. The salad was full of beautiful tasty greens and the steak was perfectly cooked. We celebrated just life with a brownie that was amazing. The drinks were great and they were cheap. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because of our waiter. He was super sweet but there were just some basics he missed. Most of the time the bartenders are great but the wait staff seems to be a different issue as well as never knowing if the place is closing early or not. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and see for myself if the negative reviews were fair. They absolutely are true. We got seated fast but, then didn't have any server even acknowledge that a group of 6 of us were there for like 15-20 min. No drink orders or I'll be there soon. My usual easy going friend was getting frustrated and had to loudly find someone. They then scrambled to find someone and we made our order. Food came fine. We all agreed it was okay but, not worth coming if they treat you this way. No drink refills. As we're walking out. 3-4 servers are outside counting tips and taking pictures. It was pretty ridiculous. I support local businesses but, just can't in my right mind go here again. They need some training and respect for those they're serving. Update: I changed my review from 2 stars to 1. I called to speak to the manager about our experience. Her tone as she answered my call was already on the defensive and I hadn't even spoken a word yet. She barely let me explain our experience and told me that there was no way her staff would not be attentive to PAYING customers. I'm just appalled and just done. Will never support this Restaurant again and will let others know. I was willing to give it another shot if I talked to a respectful and nice manager but, sadly that was just not the case. I have been coming here since 2020. It WAS a great spot. I showed up today at 11:15 to grab some food and sit on the patio with my puppy. They are supposed to open at 11 and the restaurant is completely closed.. they did not clean up from yesterday. The tables and chairs are destroyed outside. The food was closed yesterday. For unknown reasons! The women's bathroom stinks, stalls don't latch and the bar has a pungent smell! The food quality has deteriorated. This used to be a really great place and I'm very disappointed. I love the staff here the staff is great, but the owner needs to step up and take care of his property or he's gonna lose it. I personally know Jon Taffer. My ex husband used to work for him. Should I get him in here to fix your bar or should you do it yourself? You got to invest in your property to keep it good in shape. Myself and others will not be coming back until you fix it!! New patio furniture, new bar stools at the bar, deep clean the bar and kitchen, get food quality up, fix the smell in bathrooms, bathroom door, fix the A/C that's been broken since last year, be fully open when your supposed to be open, and treat the employees better! Still the same bland, food service made food. Hostess asked if we had reservation. Why? There are only 4 tables occupied. Only 2 more parties came in after us. There was just 3 of us. Nothing here is made from scratch. My chicken fried steak was still frozen in the middle. The mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans are from Ben E. Keith food service. My company cafeteria buys from there and I KNOW it's the same bland food. Chicken wings were freezer burnt. They were out of the first 4 drinks I ordered. I finally said, "just give me a coke". It was all seltzer and they didn't have anyone to change the tank right away. I just said, "wine. Some kind of white wine. I don't care what it is since I really need to wash down this dry food!". It wasn't even good LOL. The menus were so sticky and gross. The booths needed to be wiped down, as did everything else. Bartender was arguing with employee loudly. Waitress was totally disassociated. My son asked for his french fries 3 times. By the time another service brought them out and slammed them onto our table, they were cold. I give up. Second time here and we've been very happy each time. This time we got chicken & waffles and the catfish dinner. Wife had chicken & waffles. She will ALWAYS get that if a place offers it. This was a new item at Heartland, so she was excited to try it. It came with a fluffy, crispy on the edges, hot waffle and three hand-breaded huge chicken tenders. It. Was. Amazing. I had to try it and was shocked at how on-point it all was. Typically one or the other is good, but not both. So impressed!! I had the catfish. It came with like five catfish pieces, steak fries, slaw, and 2 hushpuppies. It was really good too! I'm still not able to eat much, but I did try everything. The catfish did not have the "fishy" taste - it was nicely done, hot & fresh. The fries weren't great, but I'm not a huge fan of steak fries. The slaw was pretty good. It was chopped fine, which I prefer. The hushpuppies were good as well. Service was terrific! Our waitress checked on us numerous times. There was another one who checked on us a couple of times, which was sweet, but her perfume was so strong! I wish more people realized that strong scents are not necessary. read more

Recently just moved to Piedmont and didn't want to go to OKC for dinner. Tried this place out tonight (didn't read the reviews) and well .... blah. Told it would be a 20 minute wait for take out so I waited 25 before heading up there, knowing Covid and take out so longer times... nope I waited an additional 25 minutes in the parking lot after the go ahead and pay it will just be a few more minutes and we will bring it out. Got home (I live 1.5minutes away) and was really disappointed. Chicken nachos= cold chicken and watered down chips from the pico (that I told I didn't want put was smothered on it) and black beans that were wet as well. Chicken fried steak was good but had to come home and make gravy because the gravy that came with it was water pretty much. Staff was nice, but probably won't ever go back and will drive on in to OKC. The ONLY reason I gave it 3 stars and not 2 is because Yelp suggested I be kinder due to COVID. Take it as you will, but I won't be returning or recommending this place to ANYONE. Drive on into town folks. read more

We LOVE it here! My favorite is the blackened chicken dish. Always cooked to perfection! Great kid options and menu. Wonderful ribeye steak! We honestly have never been disappointed with anything we have ordered. We always get the chips, queso and salsa. It is so good and the salsa is made fresh. The catfish is wonderful and they currently have all you can eat! Not only is the food wonderful but the staff is great. The manager is so friendly, checks on you and makes sure you have a great experience. He even lets my kids grab some candy after dinner which makes them so excited. A nice full restaurant/bar towards the Piedmont area. Party of 5 was easy to seat. We started with the southwest egg rolls and chips and queso. Excellent choice! The blackened chicken came with steamed veggies and rice. Cooked perfectly. They have everything from steaks, ribs, burgers, chicken, and chicken fried steak. The service we received was top notch. Saturday nights they have live music. We didn't get to stay for the music but looking forward to checking it out sometime. read more

I went to visit my friend in Piedmont and we stopped by for a drink. They had $4 margaritas, so we thought why not?? The margaritas were good but not very strong (you get what you pay for). They were too sweet & sour-y for my taste, but I do like my margaritas on the boozier side. However, an employee (I'm not sure if he was a server or manager) noticed I didn't have much of my drink. He asked if anything was wrong and offered to top it off for me. Points to Heartland Pub & Grill for that! I noticed that there are complaints on here about bad service. That was not my experience when I came. I came on a Friday night. There was a good turnout and multiple people from the wait staff tended to my friend and me. Maybe it's different during the week though, I wouldn't know. Anyway, this was a good spot. Just like the 3-star rating, I think it is "A-OK."
