Buffalo Wild Wings - 3 This was our first visit to this particular BWW location, and I have to say--it's one of the better-designed ones I've seen! Right from the moment we walked in, the sports vibe was on point. The walls were decked out with jerseys from Thurman Thomas, Joe Carter, and Chet Holmgren, and the space was filled with excellent lighting and plenty of TV screens. It's definitely the kind of place that makes you want to hang out, watch a game, grab a beer, and enjoy some good bar food. We came in on National Wing Day, and my wife picked B-Dubs to celebrate. It's probably been close to 10 years since my last visit to a B-Dubs, so I was curious to see what had changed. The promo was BOGO boneless wings, so I went with the Original Buffalo and Asian Zing. My wife ordered Honey BBQ and plain. Sides were onion rings and fries. Food-wise, it was hit or miss: * Original Buffalo & Asian Zing: Solid flavors. I'd get them again. * Honey BBQ & Plain: Neither of us liked the Honey BBQ, and, well, the plain were just that--plain. * Onion Rings: Looked great, but totally lacked flavor. * Fries: Ordered no seasoning/no salt. They came salted anyway, so I just brushed it off. We tried both Ranch and Blue Cheese dipping sauces--unfortunately, both were disappointments. The blue cheese had no flavor or chunks, and the ranch was barely passable (though my wife said it was edible). Now to the highlight: our server, Halle, was fantastic! Super friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the visit. Final thoughts: This location nails the atmosphere and service, but the food still leaves a lot to be desired. The first time I went here with my husband I was a little overwhelmed by how many TV's there are and all the games and noise going on. It's just a lot and too much. I ordered nachos and he ordered bone-in wings. The chickens they came from must have been living a hard life cause there was no meat on those bones. The poor things were starving! I got the order very quickly. Immediately I could tell the wings I received were inedible. I had obviously been given wings that had been sitting for hours. Is it policy to give to go orders less quality food? I had to throw away the order. Potato wedges and ranch was the only thing I got to eat from that $62 order. Since going to bdubs i35 about 5 years ago, my husband and I decided to try the new location on Portland. We were floored from the excellent service. Immediate greets. No wait on beverages even on a busy basketball game night. I will say we weren't a fan of the Nashville hot flavor on our wings(it tasted like refried beans?) but after requesting the help from a manager, these were promptly swapped out with no issues or delay. I'm excited to have had such an awesome experience up here; since having bad experiences prior with bdubs, it was so refreshing having such an excellent experience at their latest location. I went to this location for lunch today. Not busy at all. Several servers working. We were sat quickly buy a gentleman but a server never came to our table after that. After waiting for a good while, with a toddler, we finally decided to leave. It's a nice warm day and the inside of this building did not seem to have the AC on either. I have had nothing but poor experiences with BWW. I haven't ate at BWW in years but figured I would give this new location a chance. Nah just as disappointing as every other BWW experience. Newly built- their team is still getting accustomed to everything, but overall was an amazing experience. Service alone was top notch by Sydney - the main reason we will be returning. She was able to answer all my questions courteously. Even the questions she didn't immediately know, she was able to get an answer to it. My biggest plus for any service is the immediate replenish of my drinks - and she was ON TOP of it! Support staff were all wonderful too - I wish I could have remembered their names, but I failed to note it as I was distracted by the new building. Food is solid, but not a surprise due to the standards Bdubs has. Only downside I'd mention is they were having lighting issues, but were actively fixing them. By the end of the dinner, they were corrected. Oh and the to-go containers are pretty meh. But not so much of a downside as it does the job haha. I spoke to their manager afterwards to thank them for the great service. Nick was incredibly pleasant. I think he and his team have a bright future here. We placed an order online to pick up. The carry-out area was a cluster. My order wasn't ready so I waited. I watched at least three people have issues picking up their orders and they gave the wrong order to one person who left and came back. They gave that same food to the right person who was at the counter waiting. I received a QR code for my order and told the guy at the counter and he asked my name again and said it wasn't ready. Then I showed the QR code to the girl working after waiting a bit longer. She showed me where to scan it. This was my first time picking up from this location and it was not a good experience.
