I had to endure a year contract with this company and was really happy when our year relationship ended so I would not have to deal with the poor customer service with their office. The technicians who came to my place to apply the insect treatments every month were always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. So the sole star goes for them. The office staff is highly disorganized. Even pre-pandemic I had numerous scheduling problems and communication problems. There were several times that they had to cancel my appointment at the last minute or several days prior to my appointment. This was such a hassle because technicians were unavailable outside of my working hours (I work the normal Monday through Friday business hours). The cancelled appointments were usually vague reasons that they just couldn't get a technician to my home because they were double booked etc. I was just so sick and tired of hassling with their scheduling team in the office, I was really happy to tell them not to continue my contract with them. I hate giving a one star review. However, in this case, it is unfortunately, well deserved. We hired Hearts Pest Management to take care of a white fly problem in our backyard. A technician came to our house and treated the trees we needed serviced. Great! He was scheduled to return the following month to do a regular pest control visit and to retreat the white fly problem. The day he was to show up, nobody came. After calling Hearts we learned that that technician was their ONLY technician for all of Temecula & he was no longer with the company. They rescheduled our service with a technician from Oceanside. Well, he doesn't show up either. So, we were told that their manager would get back to us. Nobody called us. But on my ring camera a guy shows up a week later & goes into our backyard without any permission & without calling us or ringing the doorbell. My ring camera timed his total visit in our backyard at exactly 3 minutes & 50 seconds. We have a large backyard. It is not possible that the treatment we desired was performed in that amount of time. We get a bill a month later for this "treatment" for $124. We call to dispute this because he obviously did not treat the white flies or pests in 3 minutes & 50 seconds nor would I have authorized this man to perform the job as he was a manager & not a technician. They told us they would call us back. No call was ever made to us. We just received a second bill for the $124. We will pay it. But let this be a warning to anyone looking to hire Hearts who actually wants work done in Temecula, as they are now trying to get Orkin to cover their services in Temecula because they do not have their own technician & you will get a whopping 3 minutes & 50 seconds worth of work for your money. read more

This is our second time using them (second chances) and we are very unhappy with the service. We are constantly inundated by ants and they informed us they only treat around the perimeter of the house and not the property line where the ants are coming from. They are expensive and charge you a high cancellation fee if you decided to discontinue service due to poor performance. You shouldn't have to lock your customers into a contract if your service is good. UDPATE: After receiving their defensive reply bashing their competitor I wanted to clarify that our home is completely surrounded by CONCRETE not landscaping. I'm not surprised they are unaware of this given the problems we have had with their service. I will give them credit for waiving the cancellation fee but a F- for bashing their customer and competitor. read more

I've had them out twice. Once to clear some rats (turns out it was just mice), and once after we found a black widow on our patio furniture. For the spider, David, the senior manager, came out to inspect the next day and upon seeing that we have a koi pond in the backyard told us he couldn't spray back there. But he visually inspected the whole backyard, found 2 widows and 3 egg sacks and killed them all (he crushed the egg sacks and babies with his fingers!) and gave me a lesson in black widows, their webs, their breeding habits, etc. He didn't charge me because he didn't spray. Recommended that we call him back to spray around the front of the house if we see more problems, but he didn't think we'd have one. A very friendly, informative, and fair service. For the mice it was thorough and friendly as well. I definitely recommend them! read more

I'm writing a review for the work they did not do! I was pretty sure we had bed-bugs but after the inspection, it turned out to be carpet beetles. They could have easily convinced me to spend a lot of money on an extensive treatment for bed-bugs, but they are a very honest operation with high integrity. First, the gentlemen that came to my house tondo the inspection were very nice, so this review is in no means related to them. Two gentlemen came for what I believe to have been a bed bug problem from when I moved into the small studio apartment. No bedbugs were found anywhere in the house, but I did have a photo that they confirmed was a bed bug. They did find eggs on the back of the headboard as I had not thought to clean and treat that area with 91 percent rubbing alcohol as I had been the rest of the room. Moving forward, nothing was found in any other room. They quoted me 1600 for a small one bedroom, one bath and a living room studio apt. I was going to go with that rate to have them come in and do a two visit conventional treatment. I was advised to get second opinions from my friend who owns a pest control company in Georgia. I obtained two quotes from two other local pest companies. One quotes me 725, for two treatment, the other quoted me 750 for two treatments. I understand that companies use different products and such and your company uses one agent that helps prevent reproduction however, what I lack to understand is how the difference can be as extreme as double the amount. After discussing this with two other companies I feel as though I was being taken advantage of in the pricing because as a prior business owner I understand that companies try to be competitive with a slight variation due to the difference in possibly chemicals or overall Customer service. I have now chosen to go with another company, add another two hundred to make it 1800 to do the heat option as a 99 percent effectiveness rate and two follow up treatments with the same chemicals you use all for two hundred more than you tried to sale me for conventional. Follow up: When I called to discuss pricing reasons they had the person who did the quote call me and explain the reasons. He stated that the company has a set price and from that price they take in account the possibility of being sued along with other factors. Add insult to injury much, THAT conversation was recorded and boy was I glad I did that too. Updated review because the owner phoned me and asked me to reconsider my review as it is hurtful to his business. He went in to explain how the correct wording should have been Liability instead of Sue and that they take in to account the kids who can spread to friends and at school, our personal professions and how we can spread them to our place of emolument etc. how all of those are included in the price of the possible liability. Even after the call, the price is still unreasonable as my " liability " is I work from home and we have no kids and no pets. I appreciate his effort however when he started the conversation with me it was to ask me to change my review, not to explain, however he later did, poorly. read more

Luis and Andy did a very thorough and honest job of explaining to me that everything I was doing to control the occasional rat in the attic over the garage was adequate and paralleled what they would do. They could not find the point of entry (making them the 5th or 6th pest control of attic construction team that couldn't), but offered a few suggestions how to deter even the occasional breach of the perimeter of the attic. This is a review for a call to their customer service. The lady on the phone could not have been nicer or more professional. When I told her about my wasp issue she asked a few questions to better grasp the problem and then suggested I might just wash the small nest/hive away with soap and water from a distance. She said they mostly deal with larger nests and she wouldn't want to charge us for a full nest removal if we could take care of it on our own. I still setup a consultation to have her expert come out and look to make sure at her suggestion. But what a delight to deal with. I hope we can start up a good relationship with these guys. They also offer natural/organic pesticides as well and can take your credit card over the phone which is nice if you want to order services for someone. read more

David came out to my home and I explained the situation and said we may not see any insects, but assured him they were there. He was patient and told me that it was probably wasps, not bees. We finally found one, he identified them as "wood bees" and took care of the problem for me.
