Heather is amazing! I'm so in love with my new hair It took me a long time to find a hair salon in OC that I really trust, and Heather exceeded all my expectations. She knew exactly what I wanted just from a quick conversation, and the final result was perfect. She's also super friendly and caring. It was heavy rain the day I got my hair done, and she kindly walked me out to my car with an umbrella I'll definitely be coming back many times. Highly recommend!

It was my first time booking with Heather, and I was a bit nervous because the last person who cut my hair completely ruined it. That experience was over a year ago, and I hadn't trusted anyone to cut my hair since. The salon was very easy to find, and her suite was just as convenient to locate. She takes her time and really perfects your hair. She understands what you need and what suits your face and hair type best. I love my hair every time. She checks in to make sure it's exactly what you want and will ask a few times so you're comfortable giving feedback. I would never see anyone else for my hair cut. She's also incredibly talented with ombre and hair color. I had her do silver ombre on me years ago and it was absolutely gorgeous!!! Went to Heather with blonde highlights, asked for a blonde balayage, and left with green and orange hair!!!! While Heather was doing my hair I was shocked and initially amazed at how fast she completed it. I mean she did a full balayage and blow dry within three hours.... and I have thick hair. Little did I know that (1) she did not dye my roots in the back and (2) she hurried and overtoned my hair. Keep in mind I paid almost $700. For that much money, the service should've been impeccable, and I should've left looking amazing. Highlights should be the most fresh when you first leave the salon, but I had what I like to call " dead " lights. I left and cried, and by the third day I just couldn't handle it so I contacted Heather and she was not having it. Granted by the end of the phone call I did receive a full refund, but never did she take accountability. She kept insisting that she did nothing wrong and that I come back and that she would use clarifying shampoo. Well here's what wrongs with that statement: the whole point of clarifying shampoo is to get out green tones. So why would she have to use that if she didn't make my hair green!!! Not to mention she overtoned my previous blonde hair to GREY. Hair is one of those things that even when you get a refund, you're still stuck with the mess the hair stylist made. For 3 weeks, no hairstylist would touch my hair, and I just felt absolutely hideous. Looking back at her other work, there's actually a pretty solid pattern of grey, green, and orange within her clients hair. Ladies, gents, and hair enthusiasts, if you leave the salon with GREEN hair, it's because the hair stylist was being lazy and either (1) did not use the right bleach, (2) did not leave the bleach on for long enough, and (3) tried to cover their mess with toner. Additionally, during my appointment with her, she kept insisting that I needed a haircut because my current cut was " uneven ". Well for one, a good hairstylist doesn't point out mistakes, they just fix it. And two, the haircut she gave me was horrible. I left and later realized she forgot to cut a long piece on both sides. It made it pretty obvious to me that she was just trying to make business. Constantly throughout my whole time with her she was making comments about my hair, and how yellow or Orange it was . Like helloooo that's why I booked an appointment with you, no need to make such remarks. All in all, I think she rushed my hair and therefore ruined it. And for such a VIP price, she did not treat me like a VIP client. Maybe Heather will take her time with her new clients in the future - at least I hope so! read more

I am still in disbelief with my hair transformation! I love my new look so much! I went in to see Heather with my thick virgin Asian hair and she and her assistant worked their MAGIC! I appreciate how thorough Heather is and how efficient she is to ensure my hair is cared for and of course for the colors to blend properly. In the past I've gotten my hair fried by other people and have done color correction and end up paying for the damage along with the time and cost for correction. Heather was realistic with me on what is achievable with this visit. I followed Heather on Instagram a few years back when I moved to Irvine and been wanting to get my hair done by hair for so long and I'm so happy it finally happened! The balayage highlights is what my hair desperately needed for dimension and shine. And this look is perfect since overall it's low maintenance and I won't have to see her again until next year, which works out well since I've got a toddler so my hands are full. read more

Heather does an amazing job every time! I initially scheduled an appointment for babylights only. When I got to the salon, I expressed wanting a haircut and she made time for my late request without hesitation. The babylight, root melt, and haircut only took 2 hours which is perfect because I was limited with time. Mind you it would have taken 4-6+ hours at other salons! Heather is the BEST hair stylist I've ever been to! The way she cuts and colors my hair is absolute perfection. I have really thick and straight hair, so I know my hair is extra difficult to work with. Not for Heather though! She always makes my hair look like a masterpiece. She has been cutting my hair for at least 10 years, and colors my hair for a few years as well. Everyone else who cut my hair prior to Heather always made my hair look either choppy or uneven because of how thick and straight my hair is. They could also never do layers that looked good. Heather always does layers on my hair that are movie-star quality. Her hair coloring also looks so natural that I can't even tell my hair is colored. Whenever I see other women with their chunky highlights that look obviously colored, I'm reminded how lucky I am to see Heather who always makes me look like a natural. read more

Omg found my hairstylist! Came in and asked for her exact hair color cause it's the perfect rose gold I've always wanted and she over delivered! She showed me how to keep it pink and not have it fade for my euro trip. I was weary from other stylists not getting the right tone with multiple sessions with breakage so i asked her to keep it as healthy as she can. If I could give Heather more then 5 stars I totally would!!! Heather is truly one of a kind. She has an eye for color and a green thumb for hair!! (I'm superstitious, and have only met 2 people that have that special touch when it comes to cutting and hair growth) Having naturally dark hair and going blonde is a very tricky task.. no one wants brassy hair especially Heather. I've trusted Heather with my hair for 20 years. Over the years, I've asked for short bobs, lobs, bangs, long layers...I've tried them all. Every time, perfect. Better than being perfect when she's done, my hair is so well cut that it keeps it's shape and looks great for months. Recently went in to try a balayage after years of giving myself box color and Heather, once again, exceeded my expectations. My husband and my daughter said I looked 10 years younger! I've been drifting in finding the most consistent hair colorist for balayage. I finally decided to dock my ship at heather's. She may charge slightly more but My hair always end up looking gorgeous like a celebrity! She really knows her balayage. She's funny and energetic, fun to talk to. The best part is her curls after. No one does the curls like she does them. So flowy, natural and bouncy! People always compliment how I look like a supermodel after she does my hair. read more

But after I scratched my itch, that really set her off. There was no heads-up, no "hey, can you try to stay still for me" - just a sudden sharp comment out of nowhere. It caught me completely off guard, especially since everything had seemed fine up to that point. After she lost it, I was very uncomfortable and afraid to move because she might lose it again. I noticed a few other reviews here mention impatience, and unfortunately my experience lines up with that. It's a shame, because the actual haircut was well done, but a comment like that, with no warning, isn't something I want to navigate again. Bottomline is, I won't be rebooking. Sunni is really rude and unprofessional.

Heather overcharged service. For a single color and cut, the service turns out to be over 500. She uses a semi permanent hair dye, which cause the color I wanted to fade after one wash. After requesting a fix, her attitude was not pleasant, and she had no intention to work with me on fixing. My best friend and I have been dying to get our hair done for a while but have always been hesitant…read moreto trust hair stylists due to previous experiences at other salons. In the past, we have walked out of salons with balayages that were uneven and the wrong color. When we wanted a trim, the stylist would make it note of the length, but then chop off about a few inches more. We decided to try once more to see if Michelle could create the look we desired and do it well. When we first walked in, we were very intrigued by the aesthetic of the salon. With mostly neutrals and a pop of orange, the salon's vibe came off very clean, inviting, and appealing. There was a large flat screen TV that played music, a couch that could seat extra guests, and great energy that filled the room. My friend, who has been using box dye to dye her hair was in desparate need for a change and some grooming. She came in with a lot of red undertones that she wasn't so happy with and brass ends. She showed a picture of what she wanted which was a balayage that was more subtle and golden undertones and to our surprise, it was JUST THAT. Michelle did an amazing job. She is meticulous and very knowledgeable when it came to adding some warmth or cooler colors to the mixes. Originally, I had come in for just a cut and blow dry. But, after seeing how seamless and gorgeous the balayage came out on my friend, I knew I could trust Michelle 100% to mirror a milk chocolate balayage with subtle caramel highlights that I had found online. My hair before receiving this treatment was broom-like and two-toned. The top was a dark chestnut brown that merged into a very light brass that was the aftermath of a horrible hair treatment from the Paul Mitchell hair school about 2 years ago (Never go there). I was ready to finally have it cleaned up and getting back into the routine of having healthy hair once again. The aftermath of it all was gorgeous. I could not believe my eyes as to how even and beautiful the color came out. Through this whole process, Michelle was extremely personable. She really pays attention to what you ask for and leaves you with a confident smile and a gorgeous head of hair. My friend and I got there around 3pm and left around 10, but were so amazed at how quick she did 2 balayages and another client's haircut during that time span. Michelle is a great multitasker, humble, and kindhearted. When she started to apply the mix of color to my hair, my sensitive eyes started to become dry and itchy from the overpowering mixture. Without any hesitation, Michelle went out of the way and brought over eye drops to alleviate the burning sensation from my eyes. SO NICE. She also encouraged my friend and I to have food delivered so we wouldn't be low on fuel as we had to wait a bit longer to finish up toning down and styling my hair. When it was time to pay, we were very happy to have received the Groupon's special as well as half the price for a hair cut. We were each given a 20% off coupon for our next visit. The overall charge was reasonable and the hair results are more than what we had dreamed of. This hair experience has been more than amazing. We are so appreciative and happy that we made the decision to trust Michelle with our hair and getting results that we had always hoped for. We highly reccomend Michelle for ANY of your hair needs and will definitely be coming back to see her for ours.
