Went to the Edit Hair Lounge this weeks for a transformation blonding session as well as a cut. While I initially showed her a picture of Julia Roberts as inspiration for my cut we ended up agreeing to doing a wolf cut. When we started the cut Parrisa asked me where I wanted my cut to be while holding a piece of my bang (thinking that, that was what she was referring to) I said I wanted it cut around my cheekbone area and asked to have it be cut longer first and then we can go shorter after. Well that was disregarded as the cut was made at my cheekbone immediately and I said Woah (which she later acknowledged in our messages saying she realized I thought it was too short and proceeded to cut it anyway). My entire top layer of my hair proceeded to be cut super short and at a weird angle which resulted in my bang being longer than the hair at the base of my head. I cried for days and let her know the next morning that I was unhappy with my cut. After trying to style it for a couple days I came to the conclusion that it was no use and messaged her privately saying that I would like a refund even if it was a small portion because I am a college student. She replied saying that I was "insulting" her by asking for a refund and refused (going against her refund policy). I did say that if we cannot come to a reasonable conclusion to the entire situation I would write a review to which she claimed that I was extorting and threatening her. If you are looking for a haircut I do not recommend this place as you would be better off looking elsewhere. Hair grows back at the end of the day but the trauma I experienced from dealing with this situation is gonna be with me forever. (Pictures attached below) read more

I've known Parissa for over 17 years. Not only is she just an amazing human, She is so incredibly talented as a hair stylist. I live in LA and have yet to find anyone we like after spending hundreds to always leave unhappy. I reached out to Parissa super last minute before leaving on a trip to Asia. She fit me in on a Sunday and stayed until we were done. She managed to transform my COVID hair (platinum blonde with a lot of root) in to a very nice natural blonde with so much more life and a needed treatment plus trim. I will continue to drive from LA just to see her. She is by far the best. You will not be disappointed. The salon is private and so cute too with snacks and drinks. Very comfortable. I just had my appointment with Parrisa and I am so happy that I found a stylist in my area! She was extremely knowledgeable about how to grow my short hair out and all of the products she used. After basically being ghosted by my pre-pandemic colorist I came across Parrisa's new shop and sent her some pics of the color I was hoping to achieve. My previous colorist, while very talented, didn't seem interested in working with me on this project very possibly because I have 1) a LOT of long hair; 2) black hair + grays; and 3) i wanted to go very light.
