Our first time in to this restaurant and it was a great experience! Everyone was very friendly; the cashier told us a little about the menu before we ordered, and then the owner talked to us periodically and made sure we had everything we needed. It's nice inside with self service drinks. The brisket is soooooo good - get it sliced and you don't even need a knife to cut it! The portions for the sides are extremely generous. The okra was on point with a flavorful batter. Tater tots were fine but I would like to try the hush puppies next time. The mac n cheese was good, too. All the food was piping hot and fresh. I only tried the Georgia sweet sauce which is tomato based and great! There is also a mustard sauce and two sauces with some heat. We will definitely be back! read more

As one of my favorite bbq to go to today was definitely the worst and not because of the food. As the young lady was taking my order she crossed her arms in front of her which met you're being defensive and not wanting to listen whereas putting your hands behind you means you are open to hearing the other and communicating. I was so impressed with the fried green tomatoes! They were actually hand breaded on site and not too thick or too thin. So many restaurants buy pre-breaded frozen green tomatoes to simply fry on site. The chopped pork was tender and delicious. Industry standards from all surrounding places that provide smoked food , when you order 8lbs of turkey , pork , brisket you get 8lbs . At this establishment when you order 8lbs you get 3. Three of us stopped for lunch just before noon today.. it was a first time visit for each of us. All three of us were very positive about what we ordered. Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. My pork sandwich was excellent. I chose slaw for my side. It was larger than I expected - which is another positive. Cash is not accepted, so plan accordingly. The food is okay. The brisket was the best thing I had- it was tender. The chicken sausage is just okay as were the ribs. As for sides, the collard greens were very vinegary, the Cole slaw was good- not too sweet, Texas toast is a little salty. I've had better bbq and probably won't be back. I reached out with a last minute catering orders. It wasn't quite a 24 hours notice but I spoke with the owner Darryl(hope it's spelled correct) and he got my order in. I showed up today a few minutes early to check out the spot and they didn't disappoint. Service was excellent and the space was really nice and clean. So much so that the next team meeting will probably be there in person. Gary took time and explained their process for smoking and I just appreciated the hospitality. My team really enjoyed the food. My only regret was I fed them before the meeting. To the other gentleman who I forgot your name I'll make sure to not forget it next time. I wish them nothing but success. Great new place, just opened up it seems. Large, generous portions, especially the sides! I had BBQ spare ribs and they were tender, meaty and oh so thick. The collard greens were fresh and cooked to perfection. And the fried okra had a nice delicate batter. Nice selection of sauces, sweet, mustard and a few spicy choices. Food was fine and definitely an upgrade from last place. Problem was with another screwed up to go order. Confirmed with guy at take out and he assured me it was fine. No need to explain the inconvenience when that happens, nor the frustration of having paid for it and not getting it. I called to discuss this constructively with the manager and they were too busy. I can't go to a place after I have complained because I know what people do to your food when you complain. The BBQ RIBS were anything but great when I ordered it for my backyard BBQ. The service was even worse! I ordered it way ahead of time and it was not ready when I went to pick it up. I left for 45 minutes and when I returned my food was still not ready. The flavor was rushed ( lots of fresh rub. Meat not so tender). I had to ask for bbq sauce for an order of 4 slabs of ribs. Pathetic. Ordered a "sampler" plate. For 26 bucks I got one (count 'em) rib, a chicken wing a few pieces of sausage, two microscopic pieces of brisket, and pulled pork that was drier than a Thanksgiving turkey on Christmas. I have given this place a try three times and have been disappointed every time. I'm a big fan of barbecue some of the worst flavored Brunswick stew I've ever had the brisket I've gotten twice very moist but no flavor whatsoever. This was my 1st visit to Heavenly BBQ. When I arrived there was 1 couple there. Placed my order for the Pulled Pork plate & Banana pudding. When my order arrived there was no Texas toast so I inquired into why because it was shown on the picture on the online menu. Waitress said I had to ask for it! She should have asked me if I wanted it. The pulled pork was ok but 1/2 the size portion in the picture on the online menu.
