Leslie did the maroon gel nails and Quan did the pink gel nails. Every layer was applied thoughtfully, the polish was smooth and flawless, and the final result looked refined and professional. You can tell they take pride in their work and value quality over speed. They even tell customers to come back another day or book an appointment instead of making them wait and rushing through the clients they're working on. I really value that. There are clear inconsistencies in where the acrylic starts at the base of each nail, and some of them already look grown out--even though this photo was taken the same day. That comes down to poor application and lack of attention to detail. On top of that, a few nails are already lifting, which should never happen immediately after a fresh set. The overall finish just looks uneven and like I did it myself. What's even more frustrating is that cuticle care isn't included and costs an extra $10. Without it, the nails look incomplete and messy around the edges. I've honestly never been to a salon that charges separately for something that should be part of the service, especially at this price point. I went in today for a fill and decided to save $5 and not do a French tip. I just needed a fill and a small file down. Still got charged $5 extra for shape...it was already the shape! I was told that they sometimes have different powders depending on the person... ok but why didn't you show me and ask when she was doing them? At 1150 his colleague started filing my nails, and then I had to wait a little longer for him to finish his previous client. It was a little after 12 when he finally had me seated. He was very thorough and meticulous with my nails, and asked me a few times if the progress, shape, color, etc was ok. He nicked one of my cuticles and it bled a tiny bit, that part was unfortunate. After all was complete I walked out at about 1:30. Overall he did a great job, I do love the after results minus the sore cuticle. If you have the time to spare then I recommend giving it a shot.
