I've always gone to the one in otay and it was my favorite! But, I came to this one and was very disappointed. Not worth what I paid.

if you are in the mood for some Mexican Style Seafood Hectors is the way to go. I love the atmosphere and service is great. I usually always order the Camarones Culichi but always try to order something different everytime i go. one of the last times i went to Hectors the waiter recommended some shrimp tacos since i always order a Taco de Governador for appetizer. Well the tacos he recommended were called "Tacos Enchilado" they are by far the best shrimp tacos i have ever had. they come with chrimp, pico de gallo, ranch, aguacate, cheese, cabbage, and spicy sauce. Very Delisious! My boyfriend and i go all the time to just eat some tacos enchilado with a couple of drinks and the prices arent that bad. For the 2 tacos and rice n beans its only about $7.something of course if you order a big appetizer with plate n desert it can come out a little more pricey. read more

We ended up at Mariscos Hector On Valentines day after not reserving at another place and what a BIG mistake!! To start we walked in the door and no one acknowledged us to help find a seat for us, we basically sat ourselves down. Then the waitress was not nice at all. She wanted to get us in and out fast. I ordered the prepared clams to share with my husband and there were good. Next I ordered the camarones culichi....eeeeewwww!!! Never again it was cold when it got to me and didnt want to send it back scared that they might spit in it. So I tasted the shrimp and they were nasty! The only good thing on that plate was the refried beans...so I made myself a bean burrito. My husband ordered the mixed seafood chimichanga which looked discusting and he said it tasted alright. My daughters had a basket of french fries and some fish tacos...which the tacos we $2.95 each ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! When we were ready to leave I asked the girl for our tab and she never brought it to us I had to go to the counter ask for it myself. VERY BAD service at Mariscos Hector. I only come here when I'm craving seafood. My favorite is the molcajete mixto as it comes with steak, shrimp and mushrooms engulfed in melted cheese or queso fundido all inside a molcajete served with rice, beans and a garden salad and corn or flower tortillas. Love this place, our go to for a campechana. I tried the oysters Popeyes today and they were surprisingly good not fishy at all.

i been here lots of times, there's so much stuff on the menu that makes this place unique, popeye oysters wow thats a must, they have beer also so you can have some brewskies with seafood. The fish tacos at this joint are second to none. Whenever Tuesday is around, I want to buy as many fish tacos as I can for $1. Especially when they have real avocado. They have other dishes that are good, but it's about the fish tacos. If all my friends who frequent PB on a "Taco Tuesday" came here, they would never go to PB, ever again (on a Tuesday, that is). I love this place for a cold beer and some good shrimp tostadas. a good special that they have its their dollar beer for happy hour which goes great with fish entrees. This place has done both well, with essentials like the coctel de camarones and lowbrow beachy scenery, you seriously feel transported to Ensenada. Tried this place with my family on a Saturday morning the service was good but our food did take a long time (so long that by that the time our food came we were full of chips and salsa) Our serve was polite though. I always enjoy visiting Hector's because I'm sure it's going to be a good time. The food is always on point and totally worth every cent you pay. This place has become a place my family and I frequent a lot. The manager and staff usually recognizes us and always makes sure everything is great. We ordered two shrimp cocktails which were ok. The reason for my review was the waitress that took our order. Whenever she spoke with us to take our order she rarely made eye contact, my girlfriend was dipping tortilla chips in the salsa container when she just takes it without saying anything. She wasn't friendly or courteous, or making sure we were okay with our order. When it was time to check out, she didn't say thank you and we didn't leave her a tip. You can tell she's in another world when she was there, just running through motions like a robot. My wife and I took our car Saturday morning to get washed. Were hungry a little and decided to walk towards the IHOP at the corner. Walked by mariscos Hector and told my wife that I saw a flyer were breakfast has been added to their menu and decided to give it a try. Ohhh man, huevos rancheros for me and chorizo con huevos for my wife . A Big plate with a decent portion of refried beans and potatoes made this enjoyable . I def. Very overrated, the food is not that good and that's being nice. the service is absolutely terrible. I always tip no matter how bad the service is , but i had a really hard time to tip this place, it took about 30 minutes to get in our order, and to add just a little bit more, I had to chase somebody down to get a refill.
