I have been to Heidi's Deli a few times over the years and find that every time I got it ranges from acceptable to pretty good. Here are something's that I have seen other reviewers comment on and I hope this one review will be try to clear up some of the quirks of this overall, non-threatening and basic little sandwich shop. First, if they are busy...you are going to wait for your sandwich. The people don't make things quickly here, they try to compose the sandwiches correctly. Some people go faster than others but they have max two people working and not a lot of counter space to prepare. If you see two people waiting your wait will probably be around 15 minutes to get your sandwich. Next, they offer lettuce, tomato, and onion on every regular sandwich. If you don't want it say you don't want it or just tell them what you want. They are still going to ask. This is a point they need to hit and are food service workers, just be nice. Next, their sides are small. Any side choice you get with your sandwich is going to be tiny. This is for sure worth a lower rating on my review but once again, just know this going in. It even feels like somehow the bag of Lays they offer as a choice is smaller than a normal single serving bag of Lays original. Like I said, I have been coming here for years off and on when the mood strikes. The food quality has stayed the same. If this is a concern for you seeing the pretty low rating. The rating is 100% based around serving speeds and portion sizes. I normally get the Hell's Kitchen or the Chicken Salad with Cajun sauce. I have also gotten the Italian before. They are all pretty good. On this trip I got the Hell's Kitchen and it was made perfectly. I went pretty early in the day so no one was waiting and my and my wife's food got made pretty quickly. My wife got the Hell's Kitchen breakfast sandwich. This is a basic sandwich place with some tasty combinations. Don't expect a gourmet sandwich (go to Moxie) or a real deli vibe (Broomfield doesn't really have this but Deli Zone down the road is probably a better option for authentic deli flavor). read more

I popped in around 2:30 on a Tuesday, and there was only one person working, which meant I had to wait a bit with two folks ahead of me. It took about 20 minutes before I could place my order, but the lovely lady behind the counter was super sweet and apologized for the wait, which was nice! I ended up trying the Julianna's Fav Sandwich, and wow, it was absolutely amazing! So delicious! The roasted red pepper really took it to the next level! read more

Just left here after stopping in for lunch with a work colleague. I used to go to a Heidi's down in the south part of Denver years and years ago but have not been in probably 10+ years. I remember it being pretty good! Today was a very different experience. The sandwich I got (Club, Turkey & Bacon) maybe had about 1.5 oz of turkey. VERY VERY skimpy on the amount of meat (Cheese was extra). The bread was nice and fresh though. My sandwich was $15.99 and far from "Brooklyn Deli" style. My colleague got a BLT and I think was the same price. This place is very dirty and really should be shut down for a deep clean. My glass was sticky feeling on the outside, the tables and walls were dirty and the overall feeling was just a grimy, dirty feeling. So we both finished up and were sitting there finishing our beverages and I look over in the middle of the floor and the mouse with something stuck to its tail comes scampering across the floor. Great place for a quality sandwich. I enjoyed the half sandwich and soup. Wedding ball soup. Pretty good. Needed a little salt. Half pastrami sandwich on homemade marbled rye. The bread was amazing! Good quality pastrami. I chose Swiss cheese and it was heated up. my only issue was way too much mustard. Maybe I should've stressed that point. The dish came with a choice of potato salad, coleslaw, or chips. Homemade potato salad so I went for it. Red skin potatoes with a lot of mayonnaise. No pickles or onions. Some people like that. It essentially good . The service was quick and attentive. Very friendly and helpful when I had questions. Bright spot with clean restrooms. I would definitely go back. I have been to this deli many times over the past 15 years and just had the worst sandwich I've ever experienced. The bread was so soggy I couldn't even pick the sandwich up, barely any meat on it and they forgot the cheese. For the prices they charge, I expect comparable portions... Definitely disappointed and hope they haven't got this far downhill on a regular basis. After reading the other recent reviews, don't think I'll be coming back. read more

They were nice and I don't blame the fact places like this probably pay minimum wage so why make quality food - but this Heidi's has gotten significantly worse over the years and it's in the more expensive side of sandies. I placed an uber eats order for two sandwiches. It was not a special order. It was on their menu. They did not have the ingredients for one of the sandwiches. I did not want a substitute. I was polite but I did not want another sandwich. And instead of calling me to let me know the sandwich was not available they wanted to insist instead that I pick a different sandwich leaving the poor Uber guy stuck in the middle. This place is a total disaster. One clearly untrained kid was running the store by himself. After waiting nearly thirty minutes to place our order, the sandwich and wrap we received were dry and tasteless. The turkey wrap consisted of about an ounce of turkey, a few slices of red onion, and some lettuce. We were charged $55 for a half a turkey wrap, a vegetarian sandwich and two iced teas. After having to convince the employee that this amount was obviously wrong, he recalculated it to $37, still too much for the terrible sandwiches. When I got home and checked my credit card, I saw that I had been charged a total of $92. So, he charged me $37 in ADDITION to $55! Stay away from this store. read more

Ugh! I was craving a sandwich not a sub and convinced the hubby to drive out of our way to go to Heidi's. So it's a Sunday late afternoon three people already in line two of whom had ordered and two people working so we knew we would wait for a bit, but 15 minutes seemed extreme. Still very hungry and a hand written sign says today's special pastrami or pastrami Ruben - the hubs and me decide to get a Bronx bomber (pastrami and egg salad) and a pastrami Ruben to split. As soon as I order for us I am told they are out of Pastrami-okay but should probably remove your sign and handed it to the girl taking our order - not sure why but the sign removal caused major attitude. So I switch my order to a corned beef Ruben, but then she asked me what type of bread I want for the Bronx bomber and I very confused said you don't have any pastrami right? Just an impatient stare as my hubby says he will have a Cajun Turkey avocado. I have the potato salad side and he goes coleslaw. This is not my first time at Heidi's so I was fairly surprised to see that the sides are now as small as a condiment container. Pretty sure my potato salad had bacon in it - which would have been nice to know ahead of time. As we checkout/pay my hubby points out the black bananas in the baskets with flies all over them- ick! Have been slowly rethinking my choice but we just paid for sandwiches so we sit down at the first table and it needs some adjusting as it is very unstable grab the booth next to it and realize it's not been wiped down -ick! The couple that came in behind us has left so no more customers and no cleaning being done instead the girl who made our sandwiches had made smoothies for the three people before us (who are also eating inside the restaurant) and made so much extra that her and her co worker were very happily helping themselves to the leftovers. When I say leftovers enough for full cups for each of them and after pouring them she left the blender to sit waiting for cleaning. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Because of their ridiculously limited hours of service, we were unable to try their food. We've been looking for a decent deli in the Westminster/Broomfield/North Thornton area since we moved here two years ago. We were so excited when Heidi's opened in Broomfield! I was really looking forward to a great hot pastrami on rye. We were also happy that the Broomfield location is so close to us. So you can imagine our shock and disbelief when we learned that Heidi's has evidently decided that no one eats before 10:30 am or after 3:30 pm. That is stupid and short-sighted! When I saw that Heidi's motto is " Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Colorado," I knew I had to find this place! If you're hankering for that "hits the spot" sandwich, put this place on your must try list. The unassuming BLTA features layers of goodness and comes with a side of either chips or potato salad. Reporting that the potato salad rivals that found in a Jewish deli! Bleck! Why did I not hop on Yelp before heading out to lunch today?!? I could have read reviews and saved myself from what was not a pleasant eating experience. First, the bread (I recall asking for wheat) was white, thick, dense, and heavy - my lease favorite part of any sandwich was intrusive in this one! Next, I ordered the 'Awesome Cheesesteak' or some such shit, and it was far from any cheesesteak I have had before. One idiot can really ruin an experience. I come here all the time for their BLTA. Today was no exception. So I order the BLTA the way I always do. BLTA, toasted, on sourdough. After a minute, he asks if I want onions on it. WTF? Onions? Since when are onions on a BLT? "No, of course not", I reply. Then he asks me if I want cheese on it. Since when does a BLTA have cheese on it? "No", I reply. I get back to work, there's no mayo on the sandwich. There's onions EVERYWHERE on it, and there's about 1/6th of an avocado in tiny little chunks on ONE HALF on the sandwich. I have to say when I picked up my order I was pretty disappointed in the size of the sandwiches. $10.99 for a Ruben I was expecting a decent size sandwich and it was about the same size as a 6" subway sandwich. The Hell's Kitchen is really good. Egg salad was a little messy but the Cajun seasoning added a nice kick. The bread was super yummy and overall the sandwich was really good. The potato salad was good too. A pretty small portion but the sandwich was huge so I certainly didn't need anymore than what I got. Went here 10/24/16 - ordered a Coney island Reuben. Was first told they don't have the bread - I was given the options for a reuben either on white, wheat or sourdough. I decided on the sourdough option, and then asked for extra cheese. When I got back to the office, the Reuben i has was barely toasted, had one slice of cheese and little to no thousand island dressing on it. Lots of Sourkraut on it though. For the price I expect it to be what it says it is on the menu, an authentic Reuben. This was something but it was not a Reuben. Not even close. Went there a few days ago to get a Roasted Turkey sandwich with Gluten Free bread. Let me preface this by saying I had one about 6-8 months ago and the sandwich was great. The Turkey actually tasted reasonably close to carved turkey. The vegies were fresh and plentiful and the Gluten Free bread was amazing, it had seeds, and was lightly toasted and frankly was some of the best Gluten Free bread I have ever had. Unfortunately Heidi's has gone downhill BIG TIME. They no longer use the same Gluten free bread. Its now a very plain, dry, tasteless bread the crumbles when you look it. The worst Gluten free bread ever. The Turkey was largely tasteless and a bit on the sour side if you know what I mean and they have obviously cut way back on portions. Over-all the sandwich was frankly one of the worst I have had at any deli. Whatever business decisions they have made recently they are really bad ones and I will never go back to Heidi's again. So, yesterday I ran a half marathon. Let's just get that out of the way before I begin my review. So I'm walking into work today, sore as a camel on a coconut, and as I get to my desk I remember, "hey! I get a free lunch here today!" Boy did that brighten up my morning. I'm sitting at my desk all morning just thinking about the veritable endless array of possibilities for my lunchtime options. Jimmy Johns? Perhaps. But then, lo and behold, a fellow coworker suggests Heidi's. "What's Heidi's?" So I go and look this place up and somehow this turns into a conversation about franchises in general and how I don't really know how one goes about choosing which particular franchise to open. You know, I do that a lot....just go off on tangents. So this whole thing about where to get lunch winds up turning into a much more complex conversation than it needs to be. Having grown up in Brooklyn, I obviously question Heidi's shamelessly using "Brooklyn" to back the quality. Well, so finally someone made the executive decision that Heidi's is what we were getting for lunch. I decide on the cajun turkey and avocado...on a wrap...'cause I'm a girl and stuff. CAN I JUST SAY, five stars does not adequately convey how delectably delicious my cajun turkey and avocado wrap was. Perfectly slathered in cajun-spiced mayo, juicy turkey sliced thinly on top, and perfectly ripe tomato slices...#YUM. I can see why this man (I'm just assuming the owner is a man), chose Heidi's as his franchise of juice. Well played, sir, well played. read more

Not too impressed with this location. All the tables are dirty and the tea container has lines in it. Maybe clean it? Lines are probably from the day before. I asked for banana peppers and mustard on my sandwich and didn't get either. Also my potato salad had water on top. Typically if I see a busy place I don't complain. Just kinda wasted my $16. Next time I'll stick with king soopers. There are no customers so maybe clean? read more

Heidi's is better than Subway or Jimmy John's... however, you do pay more and the last couple of times I went there, I noticed the portions in the sandwiches were smaller... esp the eggplant parm. They used to have generous portions. The food is good, service top-notch, selection very nice. They've just cut back on sandwich portions. read more
