I like that they have vegetarian options, but none of the food is tasty or exceptional. It wasn't bad as I was still able to eat it, but it wasn't good either. I ordered the veggie egg rolls, vegetable fried rice, and veggie pan fried dumplings. Out of the 3 things I tried, the fried rice was the best. This was the first time I had fried rice that included broccoli, baby corn, mushrooms, snow peas, and lettuce in it. It tasted very bland, but much better when you add soy sauce. The portion size is also good for the cost. The egg rolls were smaller than I expected. They were also a bit underwhelming, it felt like something was missing. I wish they sold a sweet chili sauce to try them with, but it wasn't an option. I didn't like the sweet and sour sauce at all. Pan fried dumplings are a top 5 food choice of mine. These dumplings were a bit greasy, even on the inside. I only ate 2 out of the 8 it came with. Overall, none of the food was horrible, but this isn't a place I'd want to try again. read more

This place is fast, clean, and convenient. The staff is kind and prompt. The portions are large and the food is always piping hot and fresh. However...I just don't find it impressive. The fried rice and Pad Thai are both pretty flavorless and leave me wanting more. The Pad Thai has ample meat, but like I said, no flavor. The General Tso's Chicken is my favorite of all the items I've tried, but even then, it is over breaded. There is extra sauce which is good for dipping egg rolls or for the fried rice. I've had lunch here quite a few times and thought it would be good to leave a review. Every visit is flawless. You are greeted coming in and seated immediately without a delay. The waiters are great about serving their hungry customers, especially during the lunch rush. You can expect to have lunch sent to your table in a reasonable amount of time no matter how busy they are. I had the orange chicken with egg drop and an veggie roll. The food is always hot and fresh. The waiters are also attentive to any additional refills or requests needed to fulfill your meal. I would definitely recommend not just for the food, but the overall experience. You can see this restaurant cares about their customers. Bad customer service!!!!! Evidently this place supposedly "called" and knock on my door to inform of the delivery. Wrong no call or knock at the door, I had a clear view of the entry way, I would've noticed. I even checked the door way to make sure they didn't just drop off without notify me 9:00pm 9-45pm and nothing. Finally, closer to 10pm our dog started to bark and decided to go check again and that's when we discovered our food. I love the food. I usually get the egg drop soup and the sweet and sour chicken. However, the delivery was not up to par. I had placed the order online around 3pm and scheduled it for 6:15 pm but I didn't get the food until 7pm. I had to call for an update at 6:30 and they said they would be there in 15 minutes. I understand that sometimes there are delays but it would be courteous to call with an update. I was planning on giving the delivery driver a cash tip when he got there. The first thing that came out of his mouth when I opened the door was "there's no tip". Instead of apologizing for the delay. I thought that was rude. I gave him a cash tip regardless. We went with a smorgasbord of starters: pork spring rolls, pan fried dumplings, wonton soup, and Vietnamese egg rolls. All were excellent! Review based on to-go delivery. It's been tough for me to find delicious and consistently good Chinese takeout and I'm still on the hunt. I thought my experience was decent. I ordered off chow now and it said it would take an hour and it took 40 minutes but the app said it was tracking and hadn't updated the steps. Driver arrived and was irritated I didn't answer the phone despite having the delivery instructions provided. Veggie pan seared dumpling 4/5. Flavor was great but they were soggy and fell apart unfortunately Crab puffs - 3/5. enjoyed them, the cream cheese wasn't over powering and the texture was perfect. I didn't taste or see any crab though. The house sweet and sour is really thick and I prefer a little looser consistency Thai tea - 3.5/4 . We called multiple times and no one could tell us where our food was. The food finally arrived after 2 hours and was as cold as if I took it out of my refrigerator. Had a random craving for Singapore Noodles and since I was already nearby, this seemed like the best option. For starters, they have parking and more than 3 spaces so they're definitely winning with outside adequate space. The inside; however, was the opposite. I was surprised at how quaint it felt. I'm guessing a lot of people just get to-go orders anyway. The downside to the size of the place was how quickly the food odors seep into your clothes. You don't have to be inside long before smelling like an egg roll. I was seated quickly and the service was prompt and attentive. Then again it's easy to make eye contact with your server when they're only 20 feet away at all times. The noodles, with just veggies, came out and I was a bit overwhelmed with the amount. The portion was more than enough for a few servings. Unfortunately, the flavor was underwhelming and bland. I requested sriracha which only helped a little. So I ended up packing it up to take with me. Once home I added more curry, more sriracha and more seasoning and it was perfect. Just wish it had come that way in the restaurant. read more

Dined in with a friend for lunch on Friday. She ordered the Kung Pao lunch special with Hot & Sour soup and vegetarian roll. I ordered the Basil Chicken lunch special with Hot & Sour soup and vegetarian roll. I also ordered an extra soup - a cup of wonton. The waitress charged me for the wonton soup, which is expected, but she also charged me extra for the Hot & Sour soup, even though it came with my lunch special meal. I asked her if she could take it off my bill, and she said she would do it this time, reluctantly. I didn't argue and just paid. I did leave a 15% gratuity even though the service wasn't great. She wasn't even friendly, almost abrupt from the moment we sat down. Our entrees were lackluster, just ho-hum. I had to ask for hot sauce to add some flavor. My friend left 90% of her entree and didn't bother to take her leftovers home. We've ordered takeout from here a few times. We've tried: Pork Fried Dumplings, Edamame, Chinese Egg Rolls, Cashew Chicken, Orange Chicken, Bo Luc Lac (Shaking Beef). Our favorites are the edamame and fried dumplings for starters and cashew chicken and shaking beef for entrees. The order often takes a bit longer than the apps tell you to be prepared. The only other downside to Heights Asian Cafe is having to order things that normally come included: sweet and sour sauce, cookies, etc. read more

Finally got to try this restaurant out with my Mom! I live nearby and this place always comes up on my search for Chinese food. Here are some of the dishes we tried: Crab puffs(1/5): These were not bad. They looked handmade, but the skin was hard and stale almost. The filling was savory, but they definitely did not have any crab in them. Not even imitation. For almost $5, it was not a very good value. Vietnamese Eggrolls(3/5): Came with lettuce and dipping sauce. Taste was pretty on par. Again, the value was not good. $6 got you 4 small eggrolls. General Tso's Chicken with White Rice(2/5): The description on the menu says this will be a tangy and spicy sauce...they are not lying! There was so much spice on this dish, that after a few bites it was not enjoyable...and I can usually handle pretty spicy food. The actual chicken was nice and would probably be amazing with a different sauce. The rice was dry and hard, which leads me to believed it was probably pre-served and not fresh. Wonton soup(3/5): Good broth and fair serving for the price. Better than most restaurants, so I would probably come back for this. Overall, not bad if you know what to order. Unfortunately I made some bad choices tonight and will just avoid those in the future. I am interested to see what else this restaurant has to offer as the menu is diverse, so i will definitely be back! read more

I define a great Chinese restaurant by their hot and sour soup. I could eat theIr soup all day because it was that good! It was so delicious and tangy which is what I love. The service was kInd of hectic and crazy but the food was delicious. The only reason why I would not give them 5 stars is because they seemed to be more focused on filling the Togo orders rather than focusing on the customers in the seating area which extended the wait time and complicated the food arrival sequence. We will go back but hopefully there won't be so many Togo orders during our visit. read more

When I got there I ordered their iced coffee for while I waited, but that also took 30 minutes to receive. I personally made the mistake when I saw Heights Asian Cafe and didn't realize primarily Chinese and ordered Pad Thai. It was good...just not Pad Thai. That was my fault. Their lunch specials are great. Ample parking, but the gate in the back is locked and if you see the drive thru sign it isn't legit. Will try for Chinese food and check out timing and see if I can add more stars. read more
