Heirloom Farmhouse Kitchen is on the first floor at the Marriott hotel in Irvine. I was really impressed by how upscale this hotel was. They have the restaurant on the first floor and then there is a rooftop bar on the rooftop. We came around 5pm for dinner on a Friday night and it was mostly empty, minus a few people at the bar. The menu is a bit small, but there are some great options. We decided to start with the spinach artichoke dip and it was super tasty. It was creamy and very flavorful. I also enjoyed that the chips were warm. Then, I got the arugula salad and that wasn't my favorite. I am typically a salad lover, but this one was pretty bland and left something to be desired. The ribeye on the other hand was tender and juicy! Our server was fantastic and all the staff were helpful. I think this would be a great place to watch a big game, they have a beautiful bar and giant TV screens.

Sterling is a wonderful bartender and he's very knowledgeable about the menu and the hotel as well. You can see the pool while sitting at the bar. I'm ordering the Harvest apple berry salad with prawns. It is super expensive which is kind of surprising for an average Marriott but I'm hungryyyy and don't want to starve.

I've stopped in a few times before and the food has always been great, but the service was so great tonight I absolutely needed to take the time to leave this review. The bartender Danny is phenomenal! I stopped by for a quick bite and didn't expect it to be the highlight of my day but it totally was. He was so fun and such a joy to talk to. What an absolute asset to your staff :) thanks Danny for such an awesome end to my awesome night!

The poke was good but the seared tuna tasted really bad. The kitchen had only one waiter running around with no one around helping him. So many people eating and only one servant available.

I absolutely love the freshness of the food and how quickly the food comes out! I am so thankful I came across this place under the spectrum Irvine hotel! The staff here is super friendly and they have a great selection for lunch! I'm excited to see what they have for dinner! The ambience is very modern and chic! And I would definitely be back!

Let's clarify, this is the Marriott's lobby restaurant. And will have to valet with the restaurant when you arrive. Open space, very relaxed, not very busy on a Wednesday night. Our server was very nice and attentive. The meal moved pretty quickly, which we appreciated since they were a few screaming kids in running around. The food was pleasantly delightful. Loved the flavor of the sprouts, even though it was a little too oily. The pizza was great to share, thin crust and a generous amount of toppings. The best overall was the sea bass, perfectly cooked and a great paring with the collar greens. I wouldn't might coming back if we had friends staying at the hotel but not otherwise.

I didn't see that they charged an automatic 20% charge on the bill.

No one was at the entrance to greet you or seat you. We had to wait and look for someone to help us. We also had to ask someone else to give us our bill. Nice ambience and presentation at buffet but a lot of the items were not labeled so we did not what they were or if it had any nuts because someone in our party is allergic. It was frustrating because I had to keep asking the ingredients and then they would have to ask the chef. This is not good because some allergies are very serious. Food was mostly good. I didn't really enjoy the red wine sauce that accompanied the prime rib or any of the desserts. $89 per person Drinks included are coffee and water. Juice and sodas is an extra charge. They charged an extra 20% service charge on the bill that they did not inform me when I made the reservations. Total for 4 people was $460.31. Only $10 off for valet parking which was $28 for 3 hours So it was $18 to parks. They said they would charge our car but they didn't.

Tucked inside a hotel and surrounded by office buildings, this spot is perfect for a quick lunch escape or winding down with coworkers at happy hour. It's super spacious with tons of outdoor seating, ideal for rolling deep with the whole crew. I went with the chef's special: a dreamy heirloom tomato burrata salad and lamb chops for just $25 (yes, really). The salad was fresh and light, and the lamb chops? Tender, juicy, and totally worth it. Our server was on point, too. Overall, it's a fun, low-key gem! I'll definitely be back for happy hour (and maybe drag a few teammates with me).

We had a nice dinner here on a Saturday night. The live music was great, it wasn't overbearingly loud, and we were seated in about less than 10 minutes. SERVICE: The staff knew the menu well and offered options and recommendations. Food took some time to arrive, but it was understandably busy at the time. We ended up ordering the Pork Chop and Pan Roasted Salmon from the main entrees. FOOD: The Pork Chop was delicious, 8.5/10! The sauce was the cherry on top for this dish and the butter beans with kale and pickled chilies paired really well together. The Pan Roasted Salmon was prepared nicely above average, although the "forbidden rice" added interesting texture but not too much flavor, 7/10. OVERALL: Prices were on the more expensive side but was expected due to its location in a nice hotel. Would recommend for a date spot since they have seating by the pool too!

Tucked inside the Marriott, this spot offers up delicious meals at reasonable prices. I ended up with a Farmer's Bene and it was perfect I'm every aspect in my opinion. Perfect portion, perfectly cooked and perfect enough for a picture. Service was fast. Had a meeting to attend in about 45 minutes and we made it with some time to spare. If you happen to be in the area or stay at the hotel, don't pass up an opportunity to dine here. Thank me later.

    Avocado Toast

I had their avocado toast for breakfast almost everyday when I was staying there. It's so loaded and tasty. It's grilled to black by default, and they were happy to change it to be toasted instead. They may occasionally forget to toast the bread at all so it might be great to always ask. They don't have espresso based drink so you may have to bring your own if you prefer to pair the toasted with a Latte.

We enjoyed breakfast on a Sunday morning during our stay. The atmosphere was very pretty and tranquil. We sat outside, under cover, near the pool area. Seating was comfortable. Waitstaff was prompt and pleasant. My breakfast was delicious. The potatoes tasted buttery, and my eggs were properly prepared.

Our…read moreserver (I think her name was Fanny) was so attentive and really made our celebration extra special. She checked on us often and made sure everything was great. We came in before 1130am and it was nice and quiet, and right around 12, a lot more tables started filling up. We enjoyed the environment, nice but not too formal, intimate but not dark, diverse mix of patrons- some couples, and some office teams, but also families with little kids, and there's a menu just for lunch, which is a good option if you don't need a full dinner entree, but it looked like the dinner menu was also available. We found plenty of options on the lunch menu, which had a mix of chicken, burgers and fish - all quite reasonably priced for this type of restaurant. We started with the Ahi Tuna Lettuce Cups - so fresh and just the right amount of sweet and savory - this was definitely a highlight. Ordered the Pineapple mocktail, which had a nice mix of fruit and ginger, and for entrees, we ordered the halibut and the portabello mushroom burger, the fish was a perfect size portion and just the right amount of flavoring and salt level. The mushroom burger was also delicous, I like that it wasn't fried, which is sometimes the case, it was cooked in minimal oil, and quite filling. We finished our meal with the butter cake dessert with ice cream and it was so amazing and delicous! Overall, we had an awesome experience in every aspect - as far as upscale casual restaurants in Orange County, this one ranks among the top ones. Special thanks and SHOUT OUT to our serveer Fanny for such a wonderful experience!

It comes with the selected main course and drink of your choice. I ordered a Cucumber Refresher with tacos, and my friend got the Raspberry Martini with the Steelhead Salmon Sandwich. We noticed a few things about the service. It was a little crowded during Happy Hour, and it seemed like there was an event, but the drinks took a while to come out. Our server didn't really come check on us during our meal as well. He came by once to double check if we wanted to order anything before Happy Hour was over. Otherwise, it was almost impossible to waive him over for issues with our food or asking for the bill. The drinks. We both agreed that the Cucumber Refresher needed to be mixed a little more since the first few sips were straight vodka, compared to the martini which was nice. The food. My steak tacos were great and I thought they didn't need any adjustments. A great addition to their menu. My friend's food however, had pieces of steak on her plate. She is sensitive to red meat, and there were small pieces hidden in the fries that come with her plate. We were surprised by the cross contamination. Once we finally got our server's attention, he apologized for the cross contamination and would offer to let the kitchen know for future reference. He did not offer to remake my friend's meal, or comp any part of our bill. As for the bill, we didn't realize it's not $18 flat. It could be more depending on the drink of your choice. We explained our confusion since the offer on the front of the menu says $18 sandwich or tacos with any drink. It did not say that certain drinks would cost more. We weren't upset or anything, just confused and a little surprised by our overall experience.

Since happy hour runs from 3 to 6 p.m., we decided to grab seats at the bar instead. What we ordered: The Truffle and Mushroom Pizza was honestly really good. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday was disappointing. We arrived at 5:10 PM, well within happy hour (3-6 PM). Because I had my dog with me, I requested patio seating. At the time, there were only a few occupied tables on the patio and several empty tables that simply needed to be bussed. I waited about 20 minutes before checking with the hostess again, only to be told the tables were waiting to be cleaned and that they were short-staffed. I completely understand staffing challenges, but what was frustrating was that during that time I never saw anyone attempt to clear or reset the patio tables, while guests continued to be seated inside. If staffing was truly the issue, management should have stepped in to help turn tables and support the team. After waiting a total of 27 minutes, we were finally seated. Unfortunately, our server was then given several tables at once and was clearly overwhelmed. This was not the server's fault--he was doing his best under the circumstances. However, because of the delay, we didn't even receive water until after 6:00 PM. My dog, as well as the rest of us, had been waiting quite a while by that point. Our beers arrived several minutes later, after happy hour had already ended. The food and drinks were good, and our server worked hard, but the overall experience was negatively impacted by what appeared to be poor staffing decisions and a lack of management support. A little more attention to table turnover and guest flow could have made a huge difference.

By the time I received the cancellation, it was far too late to make alternate arrangements without negatively impacting our event. This created unnecessary stress and left us scrambling to find a replacement on very short notice. What made this experience even more frustrating was the complete lack of customer service. After receiving the cancellation, I called the restaurant several times hoping to speak with someone who could explain what happened or offer a solution. Unfortunately, no one answered the phone despite my repeated attempts. I understand that unexpected situations can arise, but canceling a customer's order at the last minute without any personal communication or assistance is simply unacceptable, especially when the order was intended for a corporate event where reliability is essential. I chose your restaurant because I expected dependable service and professionalism. Instead, I was left disappointed and embarrassed in front of my colleagues.
