Every Paul Martin's I've been to is modern and elevated inside, while also feeling welcoming and inviting. Perfect for a special occasion. Food-wise, I'm shocked that the quality is this good at a larger American chain. The brick chicken is always a hit. So tender, juicy, flavorsome, and delicious. However, the price isn't low for what comes on your plate, which is to be expected here. The only bummer is the wait times. The service is friendly and attentive, but the kitchen always seems to be understaffed. We waited a little over an hour for our food after ordering. Not the worst thing when loved ones surround you at your table. But if you're hungry, you should mentally prepare to wait. read more

One of our favorite casual eats at Irvine Spectrum. Service is attentive, and food is good. We always start with the salt & pepper shrimp appetizer. Kids meals at $9 are great value and includes entree, refillable soft drink, and ice cream for dessert. I got the $15 bottomless mimosa since the glass of mimosa is $10... bottomless is great value. We had reservations at a different restaurant also in Irvine spectrum center, but that restaurant took over 50 minutes to even acknowledge we were there, so that led us to here, and I cannot be happier with how that decision turned out. We were greeted by an incredibly kind lady who was able to seat us within 10 to 15 minutes. They have a nice waiting area with couches so you don't have to be on your feet waiting like at other places in the area. We ordered their calamari to start - it was a bit salty, but the sauce they had was truly amazing. We also got their spinach-artichoke dip, and it was heavenly! The pita was warm and seasoned, and the spinach-artichoke dip was super fresh and obviously hot, which made the meal even more heartwarming. For an entrée, I ordered the shrimp tacos - the sauce was great, the shrimp was amazing as well, but I sadly couldn't finish it because I was so full from the appetizers already, so bear that in mind. At the end of the night, when we had already returned to our hotel, I came to the realization that I had forgotten my handbag at the restaurant! I called and was able to go back to the restaurant even though they were so close to closing; the same lady was at the desk and so was another gentleman, and they were both so kind, they asked a couple questions about what's inside the bag just to make sure that it was indeed mine, which truly reassured me at the attention to detail they put into this place and their care for their customers. Great spot for a relaxed lunch. The outdoor patio seating was nice --spacious, covered, and with a really nice breeze that made it especially enjoyable. So Good!! Made a reservation for Valentine's weekend (Friday night, 2/13). We arrived about 2in early and only waited about 5min before we were seated. Server was fast to greet us and take our drink order. She recommended a few things from the V-day menu (my wife got dessert off that menu) but we ordered apps and entrees off the regular menu. We started with the cheddar biscuits, ate those up, delish! Also had the Brussels with bacon and I ate most of those myself. Brussels are a fav of mine and these were cooked perfectly with just the right crunch and sweet, bacony flavor. My wife ordered the Brick Chicken with mashed potatoes and I had the French Dip with Cajun fries for dinner. I tried her chicken and I don't even know how they got the skin so crispy but it was great. I added provolone to my sandwich and it made it perfect. The au jus was hot (temp, not spicy) and salty. This was a great meal! The service was fantastic all evening, friendly, progressional, attentive. Everything you want when dining out. Sitting in the lounge/bar area waiting for our table was a bit loud but it's right near the TVs and bar so it's expected. Once seated, we had space and even though we were seated at a table near the middle of the open area, we didn't feel exposed. Still felt like an intimate meal with just the two of us. Great place for happy hour!! It runs from Sun-Thurs 3-6pm and Fri-Sat 2-5pm for the bar/high seats only! So this doesn't apply if you are in the regular dining area. You can't beat $10 cocktails and fries that go for $4. Most of the other apps are $8-10 and the best deal is one of those entrees plus a cocktail/beer/wine for $18! The fries were sadly on the soggy side even when they were fresh. And the chicken wings are very heavy in the sauce which I wasn't a huge fan of. The shrimp tacos were the best thing I had. I can't see myself coming back outside of happy hour. Service was a little slow on a Wednesday night, but they seemed very busy and backed up at the bar. Met a few ex-coworkers here and it turned into a really solid night. We started with cocktails at the bar and took advantage of happy hour, which honestly felt like one of the better values at the Spectrum. Good drinks, relaxed energy, and easy to have a conversation. We moved into the dining room for food and shared a couple of appetizers. The spinach dip was very good and the buttered biscuits were hard to stop eating. I went with a Cobb salad with steak and it was fresh, filling, and better than expected. The space itself is really nice without feeling over the top. With how expensive some Spectrum spots can be, the pricing here felt reasonable and appreciated. Happy hour helps, but even the regular menu felt fair. Sandwiches and burgers especially seemed like a good value for the quality. Service was friendly, patience with us talkers and attentive the whole time. Yes, happy hour prices on a Friday! The staff were very welcoming & friendly. Our server (Martin) was top notch & had THE best suggestions. Martin was very attentive - but not too in your face, very friendly, & caring. We sat in a high top booth. Really comfortable & great amount of space so you didn't feel like you were on top of each other. Now the food...the value AND the flavor. The deviled eggs were not dry & have a good flavor. I was not polite & ate most of that dish The salmon was also well done, not dry or overcooked. Ribs...wish I would've ordered more. I am not a big drinker but the night called for a slightly dirty martini. I was a bartender back in the day when I was in college, so I am slightly particular. Freaking amazing vodka martini. It's a warm cake topped with mixed berries and vanilla ice cream, which makes for the perfect bite of tart and sweet. The portions are also quite generous, with enough to feed 2-3 people. We haven't been to Paul Martin's in a while (not for a particular reason) but last night did not disappoint. To start, the seasonal cocktails are fantastic, we enjoyed both the lavender honey lemonade, and the melon mint margarita. Brandy our waiter was awesome, very sweet and attentive; and Kelsey the manager was great as well, she stopped by to check in but gave great suggestions, and just very welcoming, we all shared a few laughs. Food was spectacular, we took dessert home, and I will be recommending this restaurant to all my friends and family in the area. If I could give 10/5 stars I would! We'll be back! read more

I just had a delicious ribeye stake, cooked to perfection, seasoned with simple ingredients but very testy, creamy mashed potato's with sprinkle of parsley and dice of real butter (thanks for no gravy being added). Came here for happy hour and was not disappointed. They have a great happy hour menu, and we got the ribs and margherita flatbread and the flatbread was filled with cheese with we loved! The ribs were hoisin so they were on the sweeter side, but still enjoyed them as they fell off the bone and had good amount of meat which you don't always find. We have visited Paul Martin's twice in the past month, and both experiences were fantastic. Our first visit was for my husband's birthday dinner; the food, service, and drinks were exceptional. They even surprised him with a complimentary butter cake, which was a lovely touch. Most recently, we stopped by for their weekday happy hour. The pricing is excellent, and the quality of the food remains high. Our servers, Mayra and Curtis, were incredibly friendly and gave us great recommendations. I'm honestly shocked this place isn't busier, as the value and quality are much better than most spots in the Spectrum. We came in just in time for Happy Hour on a Sunday (ends at 6pm). The restaurant wasn't very busy so we were able to grab a table at the bar. We ordered two appetizers: Queso dip & the Hoisin ribs. Also ordered some Street Tacos (chicken) and the Steelhead salmon sandwich, and a raspberry Martini. Unfortunately our main course came out before the appetizers, but we ate them anyway! The ribs were tender and tasty and the queso dip wasn't too bad but it definitely had too much green garnish on top! The tacos were good, and the salmon burger was just okay. The salmon needed more seasoning because the taste was pretty bland. There was supposed to be garlic aioli on the bun but I could only see a very small smear. I always walk by this restaurant whenever I'm at the Spectrum but doesn't on a whim to try this place out and om glad I did! My friend and I had no reservation and we were told that the dining room was already full that day but the bar and the seating around it was open so we sat there. Service is the same and we could seat ourselves on any open table. I think we went during some school's prom night so I don't know if the dining room is usually full or not so just something to keep in mind. Restaurant was clean despite it being quite busy that day. Noise level is moderate. Definitely had to raise my voice a but but could still hear my friend next to me. Definitely not the place to go though if you're looking for a quiet dining experience. Regardless, service was quick and the waiter was very nice, but busy! Which is understandable. Food came quickly and was delicious! I got the Steelhead Salmon burger with sweet potato fries and my friend got the seafood pasta. We also had the deviled eggs for the appetizer which was amazing!! Highly recommend!! I was luckily invited to a business lunch at this wonderfully classy restaurant in the Irvine Spectrum. We were greeted kindly and seated quickly. We had made reservations for lunch though it wasn't needed. The attention to detail and service from the start was impeccable. We started with the rustic cheddar biscuits with honey herbed butter. The biscuits were not served warm and the butter was very chilled so it was spreading hard butter on cold bread...needless to say it wasn't the most glorious experience. The biscuit was hearty and dense, but when the honey was drizzled over the top, much easier to get down. A tad dry. Ordered the blackened grilled chicken Cobb salad with blue cheese vinaigrette. The chicken was on the drier side. Appreciated the tomatoes, chunks of blue cheese and a well dressed salad. A very comfortably satisfying lunch, despite the chicken, My coworkers ordered the brick chicken which looked tender and juicy; they ate almost all of it. I would have given this place three stars but the service was absolutely superb. We had consistent drink refills without asking, prompt timing when ordering was needed and food came out quickly and looked visibly delicious. Well deserving of an extra star for service! read more

Had dinner here Saturday night and honestly had such a great experience! We were greeted and seated cheerfully right away, and the whole atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming.
