The food was delicious. Services was great. Nice little place for a date lunch. If you haven't been here you need to give them a try. Then you can walk around and enjoy the little town of Midway.

A cute little restaurant at Midway downtown! Food is little pricey, so be aware of it! I made a reservation just in case and i am glad i did, because this place was popping on A Saturday night. We got spinach salad as a starter. Mussels as appetizer. It was enough mussels to split between 4 people. The rolls and their butter were also good. We got 3 entrees. Fried chicken was one of the best fried chicken i have ever had in my life. Trio del mar was interesting. The scallops were really good. My least favorite was the french duck based dish, but I am sure that's just individual preferences. My only complaint was the service and they were understaffed. If they had a little but faster service, the night would have been even better!

I have been here twice since I gave the one star review nine years ago and I need to update it. The food is very good. I got the Sea Bass, which was excellent but I don't care for the sauce that much. My wife had the Fried Chicken which is truly amazing. I will get the fried chicken next time. It is a crispy fried boneless breast that is seasoned very well with a delicious gravy. It's a great atmosphere and the service is good.

Met with friends for Christmas lunch. Had the fish & chips --- 3 beautiful pieces of crispy fish with perfect fries. Came with malt. Vinegar, tartar sauce and sliced pickles. Excellent lunch and service. We shared the eggnog crem brulee and a sorghum cookie. Delish! Being in Midway, it's easy to forget about Heirloom. Make your way there for a special lunch. You won't be disappointed. 125

One of the better upscale restaurants we've been to in the area (Versailles/Midway/Frankfort). The chicken livers are so decadent and rich. Not pictured but highly recommended.

For starters: fresh daily made salted pretzel rolls! We ate so many! I got the gumbo soup, had some Cajun kick to it! For dinner: $46 Red snapper, glazed carrots and mashed garlic potatoes. $55 Filet, potatoes asparagus. Dessert: dark chocolate moose with raspberries. Awesome atmosphere for a special date or occasion! Salad, soup, wine glass, two dinners. $147

Consistently great! The chicken is always cooked to perfection, the grilled cheese is obscenely good and the fish tacos were so good!!! We visited in memory of Tom Sayre who was a regular here that passed due to cancer.

Been here so many times and the still as good as the first time. The menu changes seasonally which keeps it fresh. Today we had the Summer Panzanella, Tuna Tartare and Chicken Mushroom Soup. All excellent. The drinks are always on point. Had the old fashioned and salted carmel martini. Melissa at the bar will keep you happy. You need to come check this place out.

Snapper was good. Sauce was spot on.

This was part of impromptu dinner at the LRK3DE 2023. The place was packed and but we didn't have to wait too long. Made reservation the day of. The place is cozy and food was good. I love caesar salads with anchovies!!!

What's the dress code for this place? Will be in area July 1-3. Thx

It’s casual. Lunchtime may see office attire. Might also see someone dressed nicely en route to an event. But, most folks are relaxed and comfortable.

We were seated right away inside. They have patio dining, too, but it was hot! Casual place with nothing much to talk about visually. But, comfortable and the staff were welcoming. Our waiter answered our menu questions and offered suggestions when asked. All three of us ended up choosing the Cuban with Cole Slaw. And, we got a side of Onion Rings for the table. The food was good and the sweet tea was cold and refreshing. I enjoy Cuban and Reuben sandwiches and try them when I find them on menus. Their version of a Cuban comes on a bun, not the traditional pressed and grilled Cuban bread or other soft, airy bread. So, it was messy to eat and didn't offer that dense Cuban treat I enjoy. It was delicious, don't get me wrong, we all liked it. But it isn't a Cuban Sandwich by culinary standards. I've had food from The Brown Barrel at events where their food was brought in and it was all good, too. They also have an attached bottle shop where you can buy good bourbon at heavily inflated prices. Overall, this is a solid place for a meal and I'll go back when in the area.

There was no parking in their parking lot, so we had to drive down the hill and try our luck with street parking, then walk back up about 5-7 minutes to get into the restaurant. A bit of a pain, especially since the restaurant was only about 50% full. The host or person at the front desk was hiding - sitting on the floor on his phone. We had to lean over the counter to ask him to get up so we could ask him to seat us. He ended up being our server as well, after he literally argued with a coworker who walked up while we were inquiring about a table. "I just took the last two damn tables, isn't it your turn?" doesn't inspire confidence that you're a welcome guest. I ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown. When in Rome, right? The menu says you can get it with Mornay sauce or Kentucky Hot Brown sauce. I asked the waiter which was better - he said the Hot Brown sauce. Sounds great! It came out with the mornay sauce. It was still good, but I was a wee bit disappointed. My companions enjoyed their meals. I picked up a reasonably priced bottle of Sazerac Rye on the way out, since they didn't have any left at the distillery when I was there earlier in the visit.

My husband's and my meals were delicious!! We had creative dishes to choose from and I added pictures so you can see the presentation's. My husband enjoyed his old fashion so much he had another. I chose to go with the wine paring and it was the right move!! The grounds are pretty with beautiful trees, flowers, and bushes. There are herbs and vegetables that are used in the dishes. I'm unsure when the Inn was built, but I love the sound of the wooden floors. The choice of curtains, wall decor and the hand painted mural was a nice touch. The silverware was replaced after each dish. The hostess was so nice and took our pictures at the front entrance. Be sure to call and make reservations. Alicia W provided exceptional service and was a joy to talk to. We tried the caviar and duck rilletes to share. The rilletes were the only thing we thought we could have done without. The duck is a bit rich and stringy and the bread really detracted from the dish - too hard and chewy. That said, the portions of each were very generous. Next we had the aguachile and corzetti with garlic scape pesto. The shrimp reminded me of ceviche as far as flavor profile. The pasta was unique from our perspective - never had corzetti. Both dishes were very good. Next was the salad as we do not like beets or gazpacho. Nice fresh salad with a dressing that was better than a typical vinaigrette. For mains we had the duck and the ribeye. Duck was prepared perfectly and the ribeye had a pesto and the patatas braves with accompanying (mild) chili sauce was a nice side addition. Very Espana!! Couldn't finish the steak by that point but enjoyed it a few days later. And finally the cheesecake and chocolate hazelnut choux pastry. The pastry was awesome!! All-in-all we were very happy we dined here.

We will never waste our money here again. Service was awful, appetizer burned, both duck and steak were overcooked. My meal was supposed to come with asparagus that was no where to found. When I inquired about the side, I was told that the asparagus was ground up in the half dollar size polenta cake. SERIOUSLY?? Duck portion was less than 4 ounces (mostly fat). . $45 for a tiny filet. These folks are trying to play at being a real restaurant when all they're really doing is robbing people blind with sub par food and service. One person covering 5 (yes, 5 WHOLE tables). Even on an incredibly slow night service was awful. I don't know about anybody else out there, but I don't have $200 to throw away on BS restaurants. Especially disappointing on your anniversary. Let we not forget the wines, no brands listed, that tasted like watered down crap. The only reason their Facebook says 100% recommended is because they delete any reviews that say otherwise, Trust me and skip this one.
