We use them for our seasonal system tune-ups and they do an amazing job of helping us keep the systems maintained. This past winter we got home from a family trip only to find our house cold cause our boiler had finally given up the ghost. We called Home Climates and a tech was out the same day (Sunday night no less) to assess what happened. They were able to install a new tankless water heating system for us the same week (most of the work done in a day!) haul away our old clunky boiler and set up a smart thermostat. Never once have we felt pressured into buying from them as they answer all of our questions and have multiple HVAC options and financing options to fit our budget.

Immediately they told us they could replace the baseboard. They provided us with several options. After choosing a baseboard, Santos Mechanical quickly ascertained the parts, removed the old unit, and replaced the new unit and parts. They worked efficiently, maintained a neat working environment, and completed the job with functionality and an excellent appearance. In addition to the replacement of the unit, our entire system had to be drained. After completing the replacement Santos Mechanical had to refill our entire system which has two different phases. They had to be in our entire house where they carefully moved furniture when necessary. They were very careful to cleanup as they went from room to room. They are very trustworthy and considerate of our home. The price was very reasonable and the estimate reflected the final costs of the entire repair.

Tuesday they were here early AM. Found kinks in line, can't run the trench-less. Worse case scenario. By the afternoon, water back on. The digging only left a small imprint on the lawn. Received our bill a few days later. Under budgeted quote. (Slightly). But under quote after worse case scenario = Priceless. Great job and Thsn you! As you can imagine it was a mess with sewage on the floor and seeping into our neighbor's house, not to mention expensive. Pray to the plumbing Gods that this never happens to you! Many years ago I worked for a plumbing company so I knew right off the bat this would be thousands to repair. With my go to (Ranck's Plumbing) no longer in business I had no choice but to seek a new plumber, one that had a sewer camera, and could come right away. An online search of plumbers with cameras yielded very few results in my area. I called a few and left messages. Ober's was a company I found on Yelp for having good & honest reviews and they were local which was a huge plus. I took a chance on them having a camera and was thankful that they did. Jerry, the owner was awesome! He even came to my house for a free consult to make sure he could run the camera before he sent his crew over - that was much appreciated! My house is almost 100 years old so there was some fear of the unknown. At the free consult he spent a considerable amount of time exploring possible scenarios and discussing options. Jerry is very hands on and explains things in a way you can understand without judgement. Once he determined the camera could be ran I provided the key and returned to work. Jerry and his crew did the rest. Within hours I had a verbal quote. Was it expensive? Yes, spending a few thousand for something you can't see is alot of money, but sewer is a necessity. Although I don't have anything to compare it to other than my experience in this field many years ago I do feel his price was fair and most likely considerably less than what larger firms would charge for the same scale of work. I especially liked that Jerry understood that I wanted the least invasive option available and was sensitive to my request not rip out my newer kitchen to gain access. To save money hubby did some of the demo with Jerry's instruction. Since we're talking about a considerable amount of money I didn't feel comfortable with a verbal quote alone. However once I requested one in writing Jerry provided one the next day in great detail. The work took a few days to complete, and a few days till they could start due to some issues with our insurance adjuster. During that time-period Jerry was always accessible, answered all of our questions, and took our many phone calls without issue or attitude. Once the insurance adjuster was out of the way he was prompt to get us on the schedule so we could have use of our facilities again. The work was completed as promised and my house was left in satisfactory condition. While they did comply with my request to lock up daily, a light was left on the first day. So why 4 stars instead of 5? I always feel a little uncomfortable asking for something that I feel should be standard (in this case a written quote). They do things old school so they couldn't email the quote but were able to fax it. The price of running the camera is expensive and it's standard procedure to record the process to show the homeowner exactly what the problem is. While they do have the camera they don't use the video and didn't relay this to me until I asked. While I'm so thankful for Jerry and his team and to have this experience in my rear view window I would/will use Ober's again and would happily recommend him to anyone seeking an honest, fair, local, knowledge plumber.

Another time was given in the event that the technician was unable to make the timeframe I first chose. The technician then later called to ask if he could come early!!! YES! He came out, explained thoroughly what the code mean and what he felt the issue was and fixed it immediately. He also explained another issue the code could mean but thought that it was only the fan issue and not a coolant issue. So he fixed it quickly and ensured I knew to call him should the issue reappear. I was very pleased with the honesty and integrity of the men in this company. They chose to do their business in honesty, not overcharging for service not necessary. Because I am an older woman, many companies seem to try to take advantage and overcharge. NOT THIS COMPANY!!! CALL THEM! I now have a fully functioning refrigerator that has been going strong. The whole cost was less than $100. The technician even gave me information on what to ask for at Home Depot/Lowes to fix the issue of re-hooking up the water line after the water line was moved during a downstairs complete remodel.

Nathan also understood that I was reluctant to spend money for a service visit/repair that could exponentially exceed the value of this 20+ year old refrigerator. As a result, he provided me with several troubleshooting tips that I performed to help narrow down the root cause of the issue. I was able to check these things the same evening and share updates with Nathan via text. Once again, he responded promptly (after hours), and determined that repairing this refrigerant leak was going to be expensive. I credit Nathan with saving me a lot of money to repair an old refrigerator and, at the very least, money saved for a service visit which would've resulted in the same answer. In conclusion, Nathan was polite, professional, and a great communicator. He didn't charge me for his remote troubleshooting or the pro-tips. It was a very charming experience. A lot of the furniture was definitely in the Shaker and colonial styles. The lighting section was amazing. Lots of early American inspired design lighting. I wasn't in the market for lighting so I moved on to other things. The rug section was fun to peruse. I saw they sold one of my favorite brands - Dash and Albert. They also had a lot of braided rugs. Regarding the clothing section in the refurbished barn, it wasn't really my style but it seemed like there were some regular customer in there having an absolute ball shopping for some new outfits. It kind of reminded me of the fun, comfy and colorful styles you might find at Chico's. Aside from the above, there was plenty more to look at like some linens, wall art, candles, etc. Overall, this was a fun place to explore and a great place to stop in while in Lancaster County.
