The inside is cosy and casual, and it's a bit romantic. There's usually a nice buzz of people in the late afternoon. This intimate bar first opened in West Hollywood in 2013. The entrance is on the side of a beautiful historic Hollywood Spanish Gothic style building on Westbourne Drive, off Santa Monica Boulevard. You could almost miss it from the street as it's kind of hidden which is definitely part of its charm. About a century ago it was a studio for silent film star Charlie Chaplin and later a library for Sherman, which was the name of West Hollywood before it was incorporated. So this is a beautiful and historic location with a fascinating history, V Wine Room serves about 30 different wines by the glass and a large selection by the bottle, mostly small California wineries from the Napa Valley. The menu also features sparkling wines, natural wines and sakes from small Japanese producers. They have food to accompany the drinks as well: delicious Roman-style pizzas, cheese boards and charcuterie, fish and even chocolate. I've always managed to find free parking on side streets just up the street like on West Knoll for a couple hours, but there's also valet parking right in front and a city parking lot about a block west

I have the grass-fed burger. $21. It came with an abundance of shoestring fries that were perfectly cooked. The burger was nice and juicy, the bun properly warmed, and the special sauce they use has the perfect amount of snap. Great burger approved! Our food orders came out to us in no time at all. Can't believe how fast they were and what great care they put into the food. I'm not a coffee snob or expert in any way, but this is the best iced latte I've ever had! Great presentation, too! I'm not sure what brand of coffee it is, but it's a specialty brand, and it's a good one! Service was OK. Our server took our orders and was very pleasant, but didn't come back to check on us. Our water bottles were empty but not refilled. They have a QR code payment system, making it super easy to split the bill. I will certainly be back for some more of that great coffee!

It also seemed like there was very little management oversight, with employees doing whatever they wanted. Restrooms were also dirty first thing in the morning... The food wasn't bad, but the lack of cleanliness in the dining area made me wonder about the condition of the kitchen. Zinqué has the potential to be a great spot, but it really needs better management and much higher standards of cleanliness.

Daisy was literally the sweetest we've come across in a long time in terms of Customer Service not only was she attentive, but she was caring. She was very much involved and just array of sunshine. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy honestly it felt like she was one of the girls. We all had an instant connection and almost felt like we were friends. We shared a lot of laughs and stories and I don't think I've had an experience like that before she's special. Everyone in the party loved her and honestly wanted to take her with us We were a party of 10 so she definitely had her handful but she took care of us and we love her for that. She definitely helped in celebrating this special moment. I also would like to give a shout out to Raymundo one of the other workers that helped us in a bachelorette dare to find someone to serenade the bride to be and he's sang this beautiful Spanish ballad. It just was an overall sweet experience and I thank them for helping us wrap this special day in a bow! As for the food delicious the charcuterie board is sooooooo good. Oh my goodness the oven baked brie bread with truffle on it blew my mind. I would honestly come back here and just eat that all day but because our experience was so amazing especially with Daisy I would definitely come back with my crew just to see her again.

I happened to be making an early morning delivery down the street at Allo and had always been curious about Wally's $39 lunch prix fixe menu. Honestly, it sounded almost too good to be true. I walked in right when they opened at 11:32 a.m. and grabbed a seat at the bar. My bartender and server, Shaline A., absolutely made my day. She was warm, welcoming, attentive, and provided genuine hospitality from start to finish. I started with the Caesar salad (with anchovies). Personally, I think a traditional Caesar should always have anchovies they're part of what makes it so special. For my entrée, I had the dorade fish], and it was beautifully prepared. Every bite reflected the quality and attention to detail that Wally's is known for. To finish, I enjoyed the cheese plate featuring a truffle cheese that day. Let me tell you... A+! It was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. From the service to the food and the overall experience, Wally's exceeded my expectations. The $39 prix fixe lunch is an incredible value for the quality you receive. I highly recommend stopping by, and I'll definitely be back.

I didn't make it here until March 2026 and after my first visit, I'm sorry I didn't come earlier. My husband and I came here on a Sunday night, with a last minute reservation I'd made on Resy. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we came in around 5:30ish. A lot of the tables were empty. They had both indoor and outdoor dining available, but the majority of the seats were indoor. The ambiance here is dark and chic, it reminded me very much of restaurants in NYC. It would make for a good spot for a date night or girls' night out. We made it here in time to order one thing from their happy hour menu, the tater tots. These were heavy but moreish, it was hard to stop eating them even when my stomach was telling me I was full. We also shared the corn, which I believe may have been a special/seasonal dish. It will go down as one of the best corn dishes I've ever eaten in a restaurant. My husband got the burger for his main and I got the mussels. The mussels were pretty fresh and silky, and were overall excellent, but I didn't love the broth they came in. My husband's burger was fantastic. It's one of the best burgers I've eaten at a restaurant in LA. Service was lovely and efficient. I'm looking forward to dining here again, and would highly recommend trying it.

But they definitely help you with picking the right options. The staff was super nice and friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. The appetizers were pretty good too. We had the fries, brussel sprouts (best choice), tater tots, olives, marcona almonds and hummus. This place is perfect for either date night, cute meet up with a friend or after work with co workers.

I also wanted to do their weekend brunch for the first time, but alas ended up not doing that due to an unpleasant heatwave and stomach capacity. About half of AOC is the gorgeous (but outdoors) patio. I was able to walk here from my hotel. Happy Hour is offered at the bar (about 10 seats) and at the adjacent long communal high-top. There are 3 cocktails on the menu, plus wines and beers. Nothing spirit-free. I ordered the Cool Sting (mint-infused vodka, cucumber, lime) and the spirit-free Sunlit Bloom (peach, lemon verbena), both so refreshing in the heat. Bartender Frank clearly wasn't hired yesterday, several guests knew him. The bites portion of the HH menu has 11 items, including several famous dishes, which Frank said were full-sized portions. I ordered the Farmer's Plate (roasted veggies, hummus, muhamarra, burrata and grilled toast) and Spanish Fried Chicken, which came with a romesco aioli. I've had the farmer's plate before and it is delish. The veggies probably vary seasonally, but the creamy hummus and burrata and the kicky muhamarra were as fondly remembered. This was my first taste of the fried chicken, although I have had the roasted chicken "ode to Zuni". This was boneless thigh meat, well-seasoned but fortunately for me not heat-spicy. The aioli was fine, but the chicken was fine without it too. Two days later I would try the 5-fat fried chicken at Darling. Theirs was more chili-powder forward, also not too heat-spicy, perhaps more one-note, served with honey and hot sauce. I'd order either again. AOC's serving is larger. So if I made it to brunch here, I would have ordered the walnut sticky bun and steak frites or herb omelette. Something to look forward to in non-heatwave weather.

Location 4 stars: On the 3rd Street East of Robertson, in the Beverly Grove area of Los Angeles. We opted for the convenience of Valet Parking (for a fee). There is some street parking, but it is a busy area so I would assume it would not be very straightforward. Venue 4 stars: Cute restaurant with a full bar, indoor seating and a rustic patio area. Service 3.75 stars: Server-dependent... We had servers switched on us mid-steam. The first one was super friendly and attentive and helpful, but the one who took over was just OK. The manager was wonderful and circled around making sure that everything was going well. Drinks 4 stars: AOC is mainly a wine bar. They have as huge list of wines but also some tasty specialty cocktails and a full bar. We had the Kingbird, the Mezcal Royale, Flor De Jamaica and a Grey Goose Martini. All were well-made and delicious. Prices were OK but a little on the higher side. Food 3.75 stars: AOC is known for its farm-to-table small plates, and we did try some of their famous ones, but were not as satisfied as we had anticipated. First off, the portions, especially for the prices, are tiny... We had the Bacon Wrapped Dates (good but super small portion), Haricot Verts salad (just ok), the Shrimp (good), the Clams (good), the Grilled Seabass (good), the fries (great) and their famous Spanish Fried Chicken (too greasy for our taste). They do have a nice menu of desserts, but we did not try any this time around. Billing 2 stars: They add 7% to every check to provide health insurance for the employees. While I fully appreciate and applaud the cause and also the fact that they disclosed this at the bottom of the menu (which not everyone looks at) and also noted that the customer could ask for it to be removed (but c'mon, in reality, WHO in their right mind would feel right asking???), why not simply add this to their prices?

My go to has traditionally been Lorenzo for these cravings but I decided to take a risk and try somewhere else- like a few doors down from Lorenzo. The tables are all outside so if the weather sucks you're kinda screwed. I got the La Zucca and Il Domenico, deciding I'd try both and take home whatever I couldn't finish. I would normally never think to order a fried zucchini sandwich but it was one of the most popular so I went for it. I will say both sandwiches were excellent. Both messy and delicious. I like that the bread isn't overwhelmingly thick and you can really taste the ingredients. Washed it down with an Italian zero cola and it was a perfect lunch. Would go back.
