    Excellent -- when true Italian inspiration intersects with luxury, you arrive at Marea Beverly Hills. The food: from a moderate sized party and not a single complaint. The wine: expansive menu with some noteworthy Italian wines. The restaurant: truly feels luxurious upon entry. Service: warm, affectionate, and attentive. I'm not sure why more people aren't talking about Marea, but it was definitely a great experience. To start, we tried the branzino tartare (flavorFUL), astice (main lobster in eggplant al funghetto -- delicious), and artichoke salad "carciofi e cuori di palma" (very good). Dinner recommendations: FUSILLI!! Second, the marubini, and tagliatelle. Simply amazing. Dessert: Bambollini doughnuts (the lemon ricotta whip is delicious). Although we tried the tiramisu and a couple others, the bamboli. Sommeliers available for wine pairing. Loved the Costa d'Amalfi revello. And it's pretty !!!

    Came here to try their Sunday Supper prix fixe ($48), and it was the perfect spot for a cozy catch-up dinner with a friend. The space feels intimate with warm lighting, and our server had great energy--helpful with menu explanations, made tasteful jokes, and even checked to see if they could make decaf espresso martinis (they can!). We ordered everything family-style. To start, we had the Carciofi e Cuori di Palma (artichoke, heart of palm, Meyer lemon, Parmigiano, Fresno chile, parsley) and the Caprese with burrata. I loved the fresh flavors and the texture of the artichoke and heart of palm, though the Carciofi could've packed a bit more punch flavor-wise (7/10). The Caprese, on the other hand, was delicious--using burrata instead of regular mozzarella really elevated it (8.5/10). For mains, we shared the Bistecca (grilled prime strip loin, bone marrow panzanella, braised lettuce, shallot) and the Fusilli with red wine-braised octopus and bone marrow. The steak was cooked well, though the bone marrow flavor in the panzanella was pretty subtle (8/10). The Fusilli was excellent--perfectly cooked pasta and tender octopus (which is no small feat). Definitely a highlight (8.5/10). For dessert, we split the tiramisu and the gelato of the day, and both were lovely. We also enjoyed a few dirty gin martinis with olives throughout the meal--strong, cold, and very satisfying. I forgot to take photos of some of the dishes because I was too busy eating and chatting, but overall the atmosphere was great and the food was consistently solid. I'd absolutely come back.

    Marea was unfortunately not as good this time around as my first visit. The appetizers were a big letdown--very pricey, extremely small, and honestly not enjoyable. We ended up not eating much of it, which is rare for us. The crudo trio, which we previously loved, tasted off this time with fish that was weird and noticeably fishy--not pleasant at all. The shrimp scampi bites were just okay, but we were under the impression each order came with two bites; instead, there was only one. The fried portion itself was decent, but the topping didn't pair well with it, and it felt wildly overpriced. We spent over $150 on appetizers and didn't even take more than a bite of each. Felt like a total waste. That said, the pastas absolutely saved the night. The gnocchetti with shrimp, pappardelle, and the Dungeness crab pasta were all amazing--flavorful, well-executed, and truly enjoyable. The branzino was also pretty good. Service was very good, and I still really enjoy the vibes of the place--it has a classy, older crowd that gives it a nice, upscale feel. Hoping this was just an off night and that it's better next time.

    My son was craving Italian food, and the closest one to us was MAREA BEVERLY HILLS restaurant. We had no reservations, but we got accommodated quickly. We were given 2 Menus, one was their fixed price menu and one was their regular menu. We chose the Prefix menu to try. We started off with their complimentary bread and ordered the following: *FIRE POWER COCKTAIL - pina - chile gum, cucumber, lime, and pineapple. For our APPETIZERS we had: *POLPO *TONNO *AVOCADO For our MAIN COURSES we had: *BISTECCA *FUSSILI *IPPOGLOSSO For our DESSERT we had: *TIRAMISU *BOMBOLONI My cocktail was pretty good, I tasted more of the cucumber, but I was hoping to taste the Pineapple too, other than that still good. Our appetizers were all good but very small portions, except for the POLPO. The polpo has a decent size for an appetizer and was very soft and delicious, this was my son's appetizer and he liked it. For our main courses, my Son had the BISTECCA, at first his craving was PASTA but when he saw the BISTECCA in the Menu he wanted that , its a grilled prime strip Sirloin. This was very tender and full of flavor. This is actually pretty good and we will get this again next time we visit. I had FUSSILI for my main course. It looks like it's a small portion, but surprisingly this was a very heavy meal, it got me so full. I could taste a lot of the Bone Marrow and the best part is that there's lots and lots of Octopus in this! At first this was a bit Sour for me, but adding Parmesan cheese, it was perfect! IPPOGLOSSO, this was my Husband's food, I took a little from his plate just to taste it, the pan seared Halibut was moist and lightly seasoned. It was a good one, but my husband said the portion was small for him. For our DESSERT we had: *2 orders of TIRAMISU *BOMBOLONI The Bomboloni is just a Donut, but the TIRAMISU is amazing here, my son and I devoured this, so rich in chocolate. The service was on point, he is always next to our table ;) Parking was easy, with plenty of side-street parking and a nearby paid parking lot.

    Exquisite. True up-scale dining that tastes good with warmth hospitality. This place is proper and shows what standard is, while giving a twist of creativity in their dish and still manage to taste good and not gimmicky. (Better than Il Pastaio and less wait!) Service is top notch, servers know what they are doing. Very detail oriented, attentive yet not annoying or interrupting. I love the fact how they split up the pasta for us, so it skip the mess and hassle (proper hospitality for the price you're paying to come here). Ordered two apetitser and one pasta to share. ASTICE (8.5/10) - Lobster is so fresh!! The burrata adds lightness to this dish with the pesto, this apetitser is really refreshing.. in the right way!! I had tomato eggplant in other Italian restaurant as the "refreshing apetitser" choice, but either they are bland or just doesn't scratch the itch. THIS DOES! It's airy, fresh, light, refreshing! Each ingredient compliments itself, I love it! BRANZINO (9/10) - Very interesting, creative and tasty. Love the choice of using pistachio in here to add crunchiness to the soft sea-bass tartare! Plating is beautiful, presentation and taste both delivered perfectly! MAFALDINE (9.5/10) - I'd give it a 10 if I tried enough all the restaurants and nothing beats it, but for now it's a 9.5!! SO GOOD, so FRESH, perfectly al-Dante, *perfectly* seasoned. The shrimp is so fresh that I think it got off the ocean a min ago! Texture is on point, I love the crunchy bits in it, adds depth and layer. The pasta is fresh and made in house, and also tastes right (some artisanal pasta is gimmicky). Everything is perfectly balanced and on-point. I wouldn't suggest any changes on it, it's just perfect. Cocktail is nice, I had the grumpy old man (old fashioned with a twist. It's great, but also not irreplaceable. It's a proper cocktail, not watered down. The ice is on point, love the attention to the details. GRUMPIER OLD MEN (1995) 26 milk clarified averna amaro, pistachio orgeat, lime, macallan 12 I honestly prefer this place over Il Pastaio, but they are two different things. I love the fact how they are costal Italian food where there emphasis seafood on their menu. What impresses me most about this place is everything is well designed, the perfect balance between an "aesthetic fine dining dinner" and also managing the taste of the food. This place has warm hospitality, no pretentious receptionist. It offers fine-dining quality food that *actually taste good* and you don't have to gaslight yourself to justify the price. It's still pricey (dinner), but I'd definitely come back for lunch or occasional dinner like birthday. It's that expensive place that is overpriced and worth it (not transformational but food is good on its own) This place leaves you mesmerised!

    Marea in NYC has, for years, been on my bucket list, but somehow, it has eluded me. However, when Marea graced the west coast with their appearance in Beverly Hills, I knew we were destined to meet. And so we did 2 weeks ago to celebrate a milestone birthday. I'm so glad such a special meal was celebrated here because it did not disappoint. Well, there was one thing... our waiter, while competent, was a little too business-like. Honestly, I expected a "hello, how are we all doing. My name is... , and I'll be your waiter." Instead, this is what we got... "Are you ready to order?" No salutations, just straight to the menu. I was a little taken aback, and frankly, it was like that the entire evening. He did as we asked, but friendly? No. Did he wish my daughter a happy birthday? No. Not a word... but yes, he brought a dish out acknowledging her birthday (because my husband asked him to). Not even a smile. Is this horrible? No. Just weird to me. The gentleman doing the bread service was friendly, and he went beyond the call of duty in that regard. I would say that our waiter was ALL business and offered nothing extra. In the end, it didn't matter because our food was delicious, surpassed my expectations, and we wanted for nothing. There were five of us dining for this celebratory evening. We dined on the following: ASTICE - nova scotia lobster, burrata, basil, eggplant al funghetto. WOW !! This was amazing. Such incredible flavor and gorgeous textures. The burrata was melt-in-your-mouth soft. The lobster was buttery and sweet, the tomatoes were sweet as can be, and the eggplant was such a great addition. I originally said I'd share this with my husband, and while I gave him a taste, that's all he got. It was too good to give away. My daughter ordered this, as well, and agreed how fabulous this was !! INSALATA - Marea's answer to a Caesar salad made with little gem lettuce, pecorino, mollica, white anchovy, tossed in barolo vinaigrette. This is what my husband had ordered. I was too focused on my appetizer to try it, but he said it was quite good. CARCIOFI E CUORI DI PALMA - salad composed of artichoke, hearts of palm, meyer lemon, parmigiano, fresno chile, and parsley. Again, I didn't try this, but my cousins had this and said it was very tasty. For our entrees, we had: BRANZINO - expertly grilled filet and very nicely seasoned, served with braised leeks, tomato, and scallion. I ordered a side of: PATATE - which were sliced potatoes, with mimolette and capers. The potatoes were intensely crispy, which I LOVE... and very flavorful. Great dish to accompany the branzino, which is always so light and mild in flavor. SOGLIOLA - pan-seared wild dover sole, which came with one side, and my daughter chose the same potato side as I did. My daughter loved the sole. Marea definitely knows how to prepare fish. ANATRA - pan-roasted duck breast, squash puree, mustard greens, pepitas, duck sugo. I have no knowledge of this dish other than my cousin ordered it and loved it. I find duck to be way too rich for me and ends up giving me stomach ailments, so I avoid at all costs, but he loved it. My cousins ordered the CAVOLETTI as their side, which were the brussels sprouts, guanciale, and mustard. SPAGHETTI - a mind-blowing experience. You're saying, "it's spaghetti, how mind-blowing could it be?" And when I further tell you, for all the simplicity of this order, you'll really think I'm nuts. This was my husband's dish, and when he didn't finish it, I swooped in to polish it off (the next day). It was basically spaghetti, LOTS of garlic (in taste only), chili flakes, oil. Not even any fish. Just pasta. When I tell you how great this was, you'll have to believe me. And BTW, it's not on the menu anymore. They seasonally change their menu. FYI, there's a spaghetti still on the menu, but it's NOT the same one !! For my daughter's birthday dessert, she ordered... BOMBOLONI - which is basically the Italian version of doughnuts, dredged in vanilla sugar, and served with creamy lemon curd and chocolate mocha for dipping them in. She said it was delicious... as evidenced by her devouring it all. She offered me some, but I was too full. My husband ordered 2 flavors of gelato (maple pecan and salted caramel) and 1 sorbetto (apple cider). I did taste these, and each one was better and more flavorful than the next. Amazing and very refreshing !! My cousin ordered the NOCCIOLA, which had hazelnut, milk chocolate and served with salted butter gelato. I didn't taste that either, but she loved it. Along with the bill for the evening, we were also given 5 pieces of delicious dark chocolate with liquid caramel inside. A perfect ending to a wonderful meal. TBH, the prices are not for the faint of heart, but I expected it and wanted to do something really special for my daughter. This was a great restaurant, and I'm sure we'll return for other special occasions in the future.

    Stopped by for a light bite and cocktail before heading down the street to spend some of our hard earned money (Hahahha jk). Just had small plate/appetizers which were light and refreshing. Service also great. 1. Bruschetta: garlic bread with burrata and loads of Kaluga cavier. The garlic bread was on the thin and slightly soggy side but still good. 2. Avocado: whole avocado which was charred on the outside giving it the appearance of the real skin. Was trying to peel the skin off but quickly realized it was not the skin (a little embarrassed). Where the pit was they filled with spot prawn tartare with tarragon. Pretty refreshing. Would recommend. 3. Branzino: sea bass tartare with pistachios and chive. Also very refreshing but felt they might had added a bit more pistachio than what I would have liked as it gave it a more dry taste to it. They also have a prefixed lunch menu. Overall the place was nice. Haven't tried their main course so can't comment. Heard their pastas are good so maybe I'll stop by another day to try it.

    I've always loved marea in nyc and soooo happy to have finally tried marea in Beverly Hills!!! Everything was delicious and the service was amazing. Highly recommend the burrata to start and the branzino was absolutely delishhhh. These were from the lunch menu but I'd love to come back for dinner!!

    We had a lovely dining experience, and particularly enjoyed their Dine in LA menu, as we were able to sample a variety of dishes. Initially, I was afraid this would be one of those restaurants where it's just a beautiful restaurant and food falls short but I was proven wrong, and so glad I was wrong. We enjoyed each course and their bread service. Fully stuffed at the end of the meal. And the meal was even better with the wonderful wine recommended by the sommelier! Wait service was attentive, glass was always filled and they fold your napkin when you leave the table. The restaurant was packed when we left, surely a good sign.

    Very disappointing Mother's Day experience. The service was not good at all and it was obvious the kitchen was completely backed up. The food arrived incredibly late and honestly was not good enough to justify the wait. I left feeling sick to my stomach and regret choosing to spend Mother's Day here.

    This place is definitely a drinks place for sure! I didn't order any food but the people around us complained at serving size vs price. So if you want a great drink and to catch up with a friend this place is great!

    Fantastic! Lovely space, wonderful wait staff, and phenomenal food! We went for a long lunch and everything was delicious. Can't recommend it enough, everything was so fresh and so good!

Every time I've been, the waiters, service and management have been so nice and come check on you constantly. There are several sections in the restaurant (I think 3 but I could be wrong), but we've dined in the main room which has a retractable ceiling for when it's too sunny out, they have a bar area that has a small little lounge section in the back of it, and it looks like there may be another section that I haven't been to. The place definitely gives off those Latin vibes and you feel it once you arrive. As for the food, my boss ordered appetizers for the table, which were shrimp tacos, flautas, and empanadas which were all very good! My favorite were the flautas with guac. For my main dish I went with the Chilean sea bass with a side of broccolini and rice. That sea bass was phenomenal! It had a nice sweet glaze on it with a very slit crisp texture on the top. One of the best! The Hideaway goes down as one of my favorite spots in Beverly Hills and I highly recommend checking it out. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

I emailed the bar to make a reservation since the online system was down, and they emailed back immediately to confirm -- and even said they would surprise my mom with an extra birthday cake! Now all I had to do was wait 3 weeks until her visit so the experience could finally happen. The day arrived and I got my mom to Maybourne Bar with her none the wiser. From the moment we stepped through the door, the experience was a 1 million out of 10. Every course is unbelievable. This is a caviar tasting in the best way -- all nine courses are topped with generous helpings of delicious N25 caviar. You get sweet, salty, savory, comfort food, upscale dining, everything comes together in the absolute best way. I especially loved the deconstructed deviled egg and the lobster roll, and the ice cream was some of the best I've ever had. The chips and dip came with the cutest miniature potato chips (although I'll admit I could have used a few more), and the caviar salmon burger was super flavorful. And, true to their word, they surprised my mom with a birthday cake -- and then surprised us both with complimentary lychee cocktails! The service was impeccable as well. Each person on the waitstaff was kind, helpful, and accommodating. We loved how descriptive they were of each dish. It was also really nice of them to decide to give us an extra 2-top so we would have room for all of the courses. This is not only an incredible tasting menu, but made even more incredible by the price. 10 courses and a glass of champagne are $85. I was honestly shocked at how much we received for under $100. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. This is a true gem in Beverly Hills. I'm already planning my next visit!

    I work across the street from the Maybourne Beverly Hills and have been a regular at the lobby bar…read more Unfortunately, I've had repeated negative experiences with one specific staff member, Elton and it has now reached a point where I feel compelled to speak up. On multiple occasions, Elton has given me poor service and a noticeable attitude. I chose to overlook it at first, but eventually I brought it to management's attention because the treatment was consistent and unacceptable. After that complaint, the situation escalated. When I returned, Elton refused to serve me altogether. He would not look at me, acknowledge me, or take my order. I was left sitting there while being completely ignored. It became so obvious that other guests sitting next to me noticed and were concerned enough to step in and ask him why I wasn't being helped and to tell him to serve me. That should never have to happen. I then asked for the manager I had previously spoken to, Leo, because I wanted to understand what was going on. I still have not received any clear explanation. What's most concerning is that this behavior feels intentional. No employee in hospitality gets to decide who they will or will not serve based on personal feelings. If a staff member's feelings are "hurt" after a complaint, that does not justify refusing service to a guest. That is not professionalism--that is the opposite of hospitality. It was honestly disturbing enough that the people next to me told me directly that it didn't feel right and that I shouldn't come back because it seemed like I wasn't wanted there. That is not okay, especially at an establishment of this caliber. I am actively trying to get in touch with someone at the hotel who can properly address this situation, because this needs to be taken seriously. No guest should ever feel ignored, singled out, or unwelcome in this way.

Nothing was too heavy and the portions were all manageable, not too small or too large. The outdoor seats were very cushy and comfortable, it's perfect for sitting with your fur baby, and the restaurant provided water bowls upon request as well. Servers were all really friendly and the food did not take long to come out, though it wasn't too busy that Sunday afternoon around 3pm. Would definitely come back here to try the cocktails with other fusion bites next time we're in the area!

Drinks were the highlight--great martinis and well-made cocktails. That said, our bill was over $600, and none of us left full. Portions are tiny. Go for drinks and ambiance, but I'd skip the food.

I'm bummed we only got to try just the ribeye when it came to the cuts, but my gf did not want to order anything under medium or medium rare that night, so that was a bummer. It's her loss! The panna cotta was the creamiest sweet treat in all of LaLa Land. This is a great place, and it's a top-tier steakhouse. SoCal sometimes lacks places of this caliber that NY, Chicago, and SF / Napa have, but this place is a very close contender to some of the top cream-of-the-crop, steak-centered restaurants in the country.
