I stopped by this spicy chicken strip spot and left seriously impressed--and very full. Their menu is all about bold flavors and over-the-top comfort food, and everything I tried delivered. The loaded fries were the first thing to hit the table, and they were absolutely stacked: crispy fries topped with creamy mac and cheese, juicy chicken strips, and their signature sauce. Every bite was messy in the best way and packed with flavor. I also tried the chicken sandwich, which takes things to the next level by adding mac and cheese right inside the bun. It sounds wild, but it works--the crunch of the chicken, the heat from the seasoning, and the creaminess of the mac all come together perfectly. Their hot wings were another highlight. They offer a variety of flavors, so there's something for every heat level, whether you want tangy, spicy, or somewhere in between. The wings were cooked well, with a good crisp and plenty of sauce. To finish things off, I had their Oreo funnel cake topped with ice cream, and it was the perfect ending--warm, crunchy, sweet, and just indulgent enough. Overall, this place is a must-visit if you love spicy comfort food with a creative twist. Generous portions, great flavors, and plenty of options to keep you coming back. Hell's Chicken is awesome because they have vegan cauliflower available on their menu and it's delicious! Thank you so much for offering it! Had the cauliflower wings, but you can also get them in a sandwich or wrap as well. They have vegan sauces available and vegan coleslaw too. We spoke with the owner and he was super nice and friendly guy. Can't wait to come back again! Don't sleep on this place! It's great!

This might be my new favorite place for hot chicken. This was my first time trying this place. I drive by it all the time in Sunland. The workers were nice and explained how their menu worked as I haven't been here before. Once I know what to order, I tried the Mild flavor just to be on the safe side. I ordered their basic sandwich as a baseline. The size of the chicken piece was a decent size. It was long enough to fit in an entire roll. The chicken has good spice, and the flavor was strong but not too over powering. The fries were warm and crispy. They have a good size dining area. They also have outdoor seating, for your preference. Also, they were playing a decent selection of music as well. It was a pleasant experience eating here. Next time I come back I will up the spice level and try some of their other signature dishes.

I love chicken tenders and this place checks all the boxes I am looking for in a comfort food. Yes, it can be oily, spicy, and not so healthy but it is good to know that I can have other choices aside from other typical fast foods. People are nice and the place is overall clean including the restroom! It's easy to order.

I love this place!!! The chicken tenders are out of this world, and you get to pick the spice level. I started with HOT, and now I'm on XHOT. I'll do MILD at times, when I'm with my daughter!! The staff here is very nice and helpful. Just ask and you will be taken care of your needs!! Cool music plays here with a few TV's and they have a cost patio, as well. Overall, a super place to go to!! Their wings are very very good as well. If I get them to go, I get them plain with sauce on the side. If I'm eating here, I will explore flavors for sure. Tried Hell's Chicken in Sunland and it was such a good experience. We ordered the Combo #3, which came with a chicken tender burger, loaded fries topped with mac & cheese, and a Caesar salad with chopped tenders. We chose the hot spice level and it was surprisingly really flavorful, not overpowering, just the right amount of heat. Everything was fresh, crispy, and filling. For dessert, we had the deep fried Oreos with powdered sugar and ice cream and wow... absolutely worth it. Perfect sweet ending to the meal. Definitely recommend if you're craving good spicy chicken and comfort food. We'll be back!

big shoutout to the gentleman who took the time to make this ginormous yummy delicious overloading fulfilling Oreo funnel cake!!! you absolutely satisfied my cravingssss!! i was craving a funnel cake and this was sooo good!! this funnel cake was just as good as the ones they sell at six flags. the toppings were melting in my mouth!! crunchy Oreos dipped with ice cream was so good! solid hot chicken place with a big variety of items on their menu to try out! parking in a shopping plaza i got the 2 tenders, my partner got 1 tenders & 1 sandwich combo. the portions were loaded & generous amount of fries. i liked how staff gave us a bottle of their sauce too whereas most places will charge extra which is a perk. food is on the pricier end. they do not play with spice. i love spicy food & i like how they are not shy with their spice levels. would love to come back to try more of their items especially since they open late for those late night cravings!

This a hidden gem in Sunland-Tujunga area! No need to drive into LA/Hollywood for that Nashville fix! Not much to review places, but this spot deserves a visit when your in the area! They have all the spice levels for your heat desires! The tenders are always hot, tender and juicy in between the bread with coleslaw, pickles and that signature sauce! FYI their menu is always changing and you never know what else they will have! read more

It's been awhile I decided to try Hell's Chicken today finally I have had my first combo tender Sandwich. I usually don't really like to eat fried, overcooked or fast food and I'm such a picky person when it comes to food. But I decided to give them five star just because I simply liked the taste. It was really soft and tasty and really huge portion. It is a good cheat meal choice if some times you want to give yourself some credit and have not clean cheat meal. read more

I did not want to be the person, but unfortunately I feel as if I have no choice but to speak on it. I'm a frequent Hells Chicken customer; by far, some of the best hot chicken I've ever had ... and I've never had an issue before. But this one really set me off, because I was disregarded entirely. This afternoon, I'm made an order for some food. Set for delivery, and it never came. I made the order at 4:30p, and it is now 8:30p when I am writing this. That's a total of 4 HOURS. It turns out that due to a circumstance there was a power outage they had to deal with, and I do understand that. But the power outage doesn't affect my order, because the gentleman on the phone told me that my order did in fact go through, he actually remembered making my order, and even handing it off to the Postmates driver to be delivered. This tells me about the Postmates driver in question has stolen my food, which is a separate thing I'm mad about. I was told that once they do the hand-off, it is "out of my hands" -- And that sat with me weird. Since I ordered through their own personal website and not Postmates, there is absolutely no evidence of my order, and I have nothing to prove if I made a complaint to them. Truly, I would have been satisfied if they had offered to remake my order and send it on its way, or do a refund for the inconvenience. There were two very obvious options that could have been done to rectify that issue, but being told it was "out of my hands" really felt like a cop-out. And as someone who's working customer service for almost 10 years now, that really rubbed me the wrong way. Like I said, I don't want to be that person, but that customer service interaction really sucked and I feel kind of disrespected. read more

Ive been looking for a hot chicken place close to me, where their chicken is actually spicy and not mid. Fortunately this place pulled through, their spice levels are insane! I ordered the loaded fries with a spice level of XXtra Hot, and I thought I would be able to handle the spice level considering how much I love spicy food. Boy was I in for a treat, the quality of the food was great and let me tell you about their ranch... almost had a taste of house made ranch I honestly really loved this place. So I checked the reviews here before going, and it didn't look great. With the exception of the Mac n cheese bowl that comes with fried chicken. That's all I've tried here, and that was delicious. Can't speak to any of sandwiches because I haven't tried it... and based on the pictures/ word of mouth, I probably won't. But the Mac n cheese /chicken bowl was amazing. read more

Pretty good new place. The chicken was pretty good and the menu is fairly simple and easy to follow. The inside dining was a bit challenging. The way the tables were structured and set up made the place feel a bit crowded. Definitely a good place to drop in and pick up to eat at home or the office. Not suggested for dining in with large parties. read more

This place was rather interesting...heard a lot about it and decided to give it a shot and I wasn't too impressed. To be honest all the food tastes the same they just make them differently. I have to say the one thing that I did LOVE was the Mac n cheese. But, the drink dispensers weren't working properly. The water was not water. The soda was not bubble. There was no iced tea even though it indicated there was. Aside from food an drinks, the decor is very cool and great art work as well as creativity. Also, the place is kept very clean. Maybe I'll be back for some Mac n cheese in the future. read more

Order the number one combo which is a sandwich and a tender with fries and it was juicy and hot and also welcome in the stomach. If you like your chicken hot this is the place to go. Also is the only place I know of in town to get chocolate and vanilla soft serve. Chicken Strips Combo 1 is the way to go. And the strips to take to the woman at home. read more

This place flat out sucks. Don't know what the hype is about? I paid $14.22 for the combo #3 with a drink. They put one piece of chicken tender in my sandwich. A five-year-old wouldn't get full off this. The fries tasted overcooked and dry. Got home and ate my food. And still had to look in the fridge for more food. Like I'm literally still hungry. Not worth paying $14. This place won't last with the inflated prices. read more

Honestly, this place surprised me! I was expecting a very subpar chicken sandwich, but it was actually delicious! They give you a decent amount of chicken in a thick bun with pickles and coleslaw in it and this yummy spicy sauce as well. I think I got the mild spicy, and it was enough spice so that it was tasty and not irritating to the tongue. The bun has "Hell's Chicken" imprinted on it which adds to the aesthetic; I wish they made the imprint more visible however, just to make for a better Instagram pic. I'm a messy eater, so I greatly appreciated the fact that they have a full paper towel roll on every table. PSA: The sandwich can get a bit messy with the coleslaw and sauce spilling out if you don't hold it properly, so make sure to perfectly grip the bun. Definitely worth the try! read more

Nothing out of the ordinary here to be honest. Looked at some reviews on social media and it looked better in photos than in actuality. Was excited to try it out, but didn't have the best service, I asked the cashier up front what she recommended or what was popular and she was disinterested at best. Needless to say, with so many options for hot chicken, this place is less than mediocre. read more

Really good. I am glad I tried it. I am NOT 100% vegan anymore so I had to try this place out after all the hype & good reviews. Wow, I am impressed. Super tasty and delicious. I had the #2 combo with 2 chicken tenders & a mac & cheese. I got an extra tender for my dad. I thought the Mild was just the right amount of spice. It was a little too spicy for my dad so I recommend the plain if you have any elderly relatives or people with you when ordering. The Mac & Cheese was really good too. The chicken is just slightly breaded so it doesn't taste like fried chicken at all. It seems super healthy & the meat is definitely tender. I am not sure if it is non-GMO, but I am going to check. I have a feeling it may be kosher. Not 100% sure though. I will be back. Don't let the name fool you, the taste is heavenly. read more

Honestly, the quality of this place has gone down in a matter of months. I've ordered a couple times since my last review and each time I was disappointed but not as disappointed as tonight. It was soggy, cold and not great at all. I wish I could take my money back sadly. I'm not sure what happened cause the first couple times were delicious. read more

Paid extra for ranch from a delivery app for the salad we had ordered. Called the store and spoke with the manager. They said they ran out of ranch. How do you expect to eat the salad? They didn't want to honor a refund on our order. Long time customer which we order very frequent. Will never be back. This isn't the first incident. A perfect day. I came in with my family for a nice lunch. I ordered a #3 which is a Chicken Sandwich with Fries. I decided to take the heat up a notch so I went with the X-Hot spice level & requested my fries extra crispy. My wife ordered the same thing. Our order was brought to our table on the patio maybe about 7 minutes later. It was PERFECT. The flavor, texture, & temperature was all on point. And who doesn't love that sauce on the side? It's so good! The Service was also great. From the woman who took our order to the person who brought our food over. It was my wife's first time & she was also impressed with the food . I ordered the Combo 1 (hot ) and they messed up my order. They gave me the chicken sandwich ( STRAIGHT TO HELL). I bit straight into my sandwich and could not Enjoy my food. My Tongue is burning like crazy. I DID NOT EVEN SIGN A CONSENT FORM to EAT THE CHICKEN. I tried calling the business 3 times and was sent to voicemail. I had to have a coworker call also to have someone finally pick up. There response was " eat ice cream the spice will Go away after 10-15 min and began laughing." I SPENT 14.28 on FOOD I DIDNT ASK FOR AND DIDNT ENJOY. THANKS ALOT FOR THE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. -.- read more

I was eagerly waiting for the opening of this place! I ordered combo #3, 6 X hot wings, and the Mac and cheese. I started with the sandwich, it was very flavorful, I would definitely order this one again. Then came the Mac and cheese, nope! The Kraft box Mac n cheese at home is waaaaaay better than this flavorless mush. Lastly I went for one of the wings, the x hot sauce is terrible!! I was so disappointed. Forced myself to eat the one wing and the other five went to waste. The spice level is fine, but way too much vinegar, too much sauce. My opinion. read more

Awesome first timer. Stepped up to the plate and went Straight to hell! The tender was great and the spice came on strong. My eyes watered and sweat was rolling. It peaked in about 2 mins and was crazy. I finished off the second half, but be warned, I took a drink of water and it was so worse! So avoid water when going straight to hell!! Overall the chicken had great flavor and the heat was over the top! Had the sandwich with just x-hot and that was amazing!!! Keep up the good work! After 1hr: wow!! be careful... the pain remains!!! We finally have a delicious place to eat in this town. So got everything mild and we loved it. The only thing I would change is less onion and more lettuce in the fatoush salad. The hot chicken craze wouldn't be the same without all the healthy competition building around it. Enter: Hell's Chicken!! Had seen a few Instagram posts about this place as they were primarily running pop-ups. I was intrigued. Then I saw a "coming soon" sign posted on a business front near my home. The seasoning was deep red and coated generously, and every bite had that signature Nashville style smoky, with that cayenne kick. The heat builds gradually and lingers in the best way. Don't know if you are aware of the Nashville Hot Chicken phenomenon that is happening in Southern California, but there seems to be a new hot chicken spot every week. I am on a mission to try them all and Hell's Chicken is local so I thought I would give them a shot. I went in around 9pm and they weren't too busy. The cashier was very friendly and helped me with their menu. The flashy TVs are very eye catching and better than a physical menu which everyone has been grabbing onto all night. I ordered the Combo #3 and added an extra chicken sandwich and a soft drink. A table was available so I took a seat and within 10 minutes my order was ready. I had order one mild sandwich and one hot. The mild was a perfect mild chicken sandwich. I ordered a hot sandwich because they do not have medium on the menu and it is very spicy but totally doable. The breading on the hot sandwich was a bit crunchy which I didn't dislike but I would prefer softer breading. The coleslaw was not bad and the pickles were tasty as well. The best part of the sandwich was the toasted logo of Hell's Chicken. Very original and cool! The fries didn't have any seasoning so I wish they has some sort of seasoning besides just salt. The Hell's Sauce was basic they should maybe try adding something to make it more memorable so I could leave saying, "Wow that sauce was good." It wasn't bad but I think that the house sauce should be as good and important as the chicken. They were also a bit cold but other than that they were fine. I ordered for here but the lady was nice and gave a bag with forks and napkins just in case we had leftovers. Glad to say there were no leftovers because the food was very tasty. Please do not work here! 1st. The environment is hostile. My 1st day I went was left with Jesus & Romeo and was the worst shift of my life! For the 4 hours I worked both Jesus and Romeo ignored me and didn't teach me anything on multiple occasions I asked if they needed any assistance they said no. From my understanding Romeo and Jesus don't get along well nobody gets along with Jesus his a real piece of work. He is the worst management person to ever work with. The 3 days I worked their Jesus would argue with the other employees. Jesus would insult and go back and forth with other employees on duty in front of customers that's not management. The way Jesus speaks to you it's disgusting. I also brought this up to management his boss and nothing was done about the situation. The bread is warmly pressed and compliments the chicken very well. They have a sweet taste just slightly that helps with the higher heat levels and leaves a pleasant taste. I don't normally leave reviews very often BUT hells chicken has been really consistent and has been a convenient go to for my family and I... the recent addition of the app is a nice touch for extra perks.. also I have to mention the newer employee I noticed that now works there often is named "mike" and every time we come in he is always so polite and hustling and just really good at his job. Satan truly dwells within the hells chicken kitchen! This place is amazingly good, it is nothing like I've had before. Hells chicken tops Dave's hot chicken. I thought being Hispanic and growing up with grandma's cooking would've prepared me but I was wrong. X hot is by far the best heat level, it's the type of heat you struggle with but it's so damn good that you can't stop eating. I will definitely recommend this place to all the chix lovers out there! Come down to hells chicken Gordon Ramsay would be proud! read more

This is another pop up fried chicken place. Let me get straight to point. Chicken was well cooked but the seasoning and batter was just ok. I hate to be harsh but the amount of these fried chicken going places has gotten out of control. This is no howling Ray's which in my mind is the good standard for fried chicken sandwich. I absolutely hate waiting in lines for food but I completely understand the long wait times there. .... Hells Chicken is ok. read more

Hell's Chicken was a great place to stop in for a quick lunch. Hubby and I got buffalo wings and their combo with chicken tenders. The tenders and fries were delicious! The wings were good, but next time I would ask for them well done. The service was genuinely great! The gentleman working there made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us throughout our meal. It seemed like most people got takeout, but we enjoyed dining in! read more

Really good food when you don't mind taking in some serious calories. Their loaded Mac n cheese at XHOT gave me fire a$$, and I downed like 6 Tums. One time in August I think their AC broke so it was like 90 degrees but totally worth it. One time I ordered food on Postmates and all three kids meals came back super spicy. That wasn't very fun and my kids don't trust it anymore! All in all, they're great and I will continue to go. read more

This place was rather interesting...heard a lot about it and decided to give it a shot and I wasn't too impressed. all the food tastes the same they just make them differently. I have to say the one thing that enjoy was the Mac n cheese. Aside from food an drinks, the decor is very cool and great art work as well as creativity. Also, the place is kept very clean. Maybe I'll be back for some Mac n cheese in the near future. read more

Food is great and I will definitely recommend it! Service and menu is excellent! My favorite combo is number 3 because it's simple and will fill you up! I love the indoor decoration it's pretty hip and attracts all ages. It's really clean and a lot of space to sit and talk! Everyone is just so friendly. The part of it is that if I leave a review I get a free sandwich. I know this place is great and know you do too!!!! read more

This is the best place to go if you want good chicken. I've been here a couple times and the service is amazing. I asked them for something and when it came I realized it wasn't what I had imagined and they were more than happy to get me what I wanted. They were so kind and they are willing to make sure you are satisfied no matter what. I definitely recommend this to anyone who likes eating yummy stuff. read more

So glad this place is close to me and open late night .... I've brought people here who are now addicted to the food ... definitely my favorite late night food spot ...service is always great and food is delicious .... so far I've had the chicken sandwich in mild and hot ... ive had the loaded fries and today I got the loaded mashed potatoes ...I highly recomend this place read more

Sorry but the amount of macaroni I got in my loaded fries was exaggerating! Only one piece of chicken? Fries were ok. But for the price and the time we have to wait for our meal is a bit out of the way I honesty would love my money back after how disappointed my tastebuds felt . Sorry but this place is a no no. Should have gone to jack and got spicy tenders for 5$ read more

This is probably one of the best chicken stores I've been too hands down, not only is it close but it's also inexpensive....chicken is so damn good that it makes me crave it everytime I'm home and ready to eat dinner. The suace and fries are very great as well. I'd definitely recommend to come here anytime if the day or even better, lunch! read more

We're always grabbin Hell's Chicken when we want to feel the burn. One of the only spots in town that we love ordering lunch from because we can have lunch and ice cream too. I found them on http://sunlandtujunga.com and have been ordering from them ever since. I don't recommend the hottest wings because you will go to hell and back. read more

The food is good; I like there wings when they make it well done. When they opened up everything was clean! However the place got really dirty: trash on the ground. The tables are sticky! I told one of the staff member he said oh we been so busy but they look like they weren't. Hopefully next time I go in; I can revised my review. read more

Inconsistent food the last few months the quality of cooking has dropped dramatically, I guess that's what happens when you allow a bunch of young kids do the cooking and run the show, don't like to be judge mental But went back more than a couple times after being disappointed in the cooking and it was just not the same read more
