The pulled pork, was okay at best, the fried onion rings, just too greasy, and the chicken wings, just too dry. When first opened NR was the first microbrewery to prepare and offer their own food, and the bbq was stellar, but I cannot make that same statement today. Brews are still good, but if need a good microbrewery in Chattanooga that can offer you good food to go along with that cold one, my recommendation is either Oddstory or Five Wits. I'll continue to come to NR for a beer, as their Moonpie Stout is absolutely one of the best beers you can find in Chattanooga, but like I said if I am hungry too, this will no longer be one of my primary spots to consider.

I'm not sure why they didn't use that sauce in the DeMarco Pizza. If they did, they did not use nearly enough. I think what I did not like about the fried cheese was that...in my head, I expected something similar to mozzarella sticks with flavorful breading. There was no breading to this...it was like a crisp, if that makes sense. It changed the dynamic. Less of a cheese stick, more of a wonton or empanada. I also love trying new things, so I had the blackberry vinegar drink. The food and service may have been good, but the experience did not match what we specifically reserved and traveled so far to enjoy. For guests making reservations for outdoor seating, I would encourage the restaurant to communicate in advance if those accommodations cannot be honored. It would help avoid disappointment, especially for customers traveling significant distances for a special occasion. It was a little chilly, but not quite "Ohio" chilly so we sat ourselves outside with a couple of hazy IPA aka Juice Bombs from Sloop Brewery. This brew pub is sandwiched between brick buildings: Stacks, a burger pub, on the right and another commercial building on the left. Across the street is the Police, so be warned, and don't get too funky. We asked if they had food and said no but it was ok to get some take out and eat it at their table or order from Stacks (what we did) and they bring it to your table from next door. Even better. Stacks' mushroom burger and stack cheese burger were very good too. We washed those down with another set of local IPAs called Southeast by Tailgate Brewery in Nashville, TN, also very good. Some of the tables have heating lamps which would have been nice as it got chillier. Not ours. But no sweat. This place does occasionally make their own beer as well but it's primarily a brew pub which sells other beer and canned beer from all over. I'm glad we had a chance to come. Now for the drive home. Thankfully we are less than 2 hours away. Atlanta here we come!
