It was OKAYYYY. Crispy potato wedges are delicious but other than that nothing spectacular (but nothing bad either!) we all enjoyed our lunch and the patio seating was beautiful

Absolutely fantastic spot for weekend brunch! From the amazingly creative menu to the friendly service to the sophisticated ambiance, this place is a true gem! The cast iron cheee dip with toasted bread was delicious and decadent in all the right ways. The brat skewers were so original and the roasted cauliflower was just wow! To top off everything else, the portions weren't too big or too small and neither were the prices! I can't wait to return and try more things on the menu.

Food and service are great! The brussel sprouts were delicious. It is a little on the expensive side, though.

I stopped by on Friday around 1 PM and the place was very quiet, with only about 4 other tables full. We sat outside on a nice patio. We got the ESB and Porter (both $6) and Salmon Skewers ($13). Service was friendly but a tad slow. The beers and food were both solid. The salmon skewers came with rice and a sweet and spicy sauce that we didn't like -- too much like cheap Chinese takeout sauce. I liked the simple, modern decor.

I travel quite a bit so like trying new places (and new beers). Walked in and seated quickly, handed a small menu (less than what is on web site) and decided to forgo my usual IPA (theirs would not fit my taste profile) to get a Scotch Export. Served room temp (which is good for darker beers to highlight all the flavors) but the beer had a weird cinnamon taste. Second beer was the dry stout which was a better pour but for a "Guinness-like" had almost no coffee flavor and was sour. If that's the "dry", it maybe went too far for my palate. Got the lemon chicken which was mostly greens. The sauce wasn't bad but maybe a bit broken. The chicken was okay. The greens were frankly the best part. The place was busy but from my experience I can't recommend it.

Stopped in for dinner while visiting friends. We had a reservation and we were seated quickly. I will say the entry way was very busy with those waiting for tables which might be frustrating for those who are seated nearby. We started with the goat cheese toast and Brussels. Both were delicious and shareable. I ordered the shaved ribeye and the Alabama white sauce was a perfect pairing. Big fan of the wedges versus fries that came with it. Good options for everyone on the menu but pricing could be high on some items compared to others.

My husband and I came to Hello Monty a few months ago when we were in town for a few days. We actually came twice during that trip. We enjoyed it so much that we recently took a day trip with some family who wanted to check it out! We had the opportunity to try Sunday brunch, which was a treat. Of course, we had to order crispy Brussels sprouts for the table. I had the brunch salmon, husband and sister had the sweet tea brined chicken sandwich and shared some of the huge biscuit, and my brother had the brunch burrito. Each of us more than enjoyed our meals, so the trip was definitely worth it! Our waiter was very attentive and the atmosphere was nice as always. We'll be back again!

My wife and I dined here on a weekend evening and had a reservation. It was 1/2 full when we arrived and around same when we'd exited around 8:00 or 8:30. Staff and service were great. Ambiance was solid. Some families with young kids around but noise wasn't an issue. We'd already been snacking as we went around town so we were really just focused on quality over quantity in terms of the food we'd ordered. We shared some crispy Brussels Sprouts and the pork chop entree. Both were great, and quantity was certainly not an issue with the sprouts. The pork chop had a really nice char to it but was bone-in and still very moist and delicious. Our first time visiting and will definitely go again.

Walking in , you could see a long bar that you could sit at or just order food at in a designated area and seat yourself around the place. We chose to set up the bar, of course. It kind of ended up being a bad idea because people had no idea about personal boundaries and being in other people's face while they're enjoying their beers and they are standing around ordering food and reaching over you. Ben and I even switch seats, because he is worried about his personal space then I am. Most of the food that was on the menu was barbecue driven but since I had just had poke, I was not hungry. The servers were very friendly when we were ordering and checked in on us often I just wish that they would have kept the line in a more orderly fashion since there was a designated area for ordering specifically.

So, as I was told by the staff, the restaurant portion has been spun off and sold from the brewery itself, so this is my first visit for food, since that has transpired. It is now known as "BUDS & BREWS CHATTANOOGA", part of a larger group out of Nashville, I was told. The bar/brewery looks the same, there is the same helpful staff, but in all honesty, the food just isn't as good. The pulled pork, was okay at best, the fried onion rings, just too greasy, and the chicken wings, just too dry. When first opened NR was the first microbrewery to prepare and offer their own food, and the bbq was stellar, but I cannot make that same statement today. Brews are still good, but if need a good microbrewery in Chattanooga that can offer you good food to go along with that cold one, my recommendation is either Oddstory or Five Wits. I'll continue to come to NR for a beer, as their Moonpie Stout is absolutely one of the best beers you can find in Chattanooga, but like I said if I am hungry too, this will no longer be one of my primary spots to consider.

Parking in their main lot is pretty tight, but we didn't have much trouble finding street parking close by. The absolute standout here is the staff; they were incredibly friendly and completely johnny on the spot with getting our drinks out. We had our dog with us and quickly learned that pets aren't allowed inside or even on the regular inside patio, but they do have a small dedicated picnic table area out to the left for people with dogs. The staff was even nice enough to bring out a water dish for him, which was a really great touch. As for the food, you definitely get a plentiful amount for what you pay. We ordered the sampler platter--which comes with a massive pretzel, three little brats on buns, and kraut balls--as well as the Jager Schnitzel with sides of potato salad and spaetzle. The pretzel platter and the spaetzle were good, and the whole place has an awesome atmosphere that makes you want to hang out. I'd still absolutely recommend checking it out, just keep an eye on a couple of the food details. Cons: The jager dressing wasn't heated up enough, causing it to congeal on top of the pork loin and throw off the flavor, so it had to be scraped off. Also, the potato salad missed the mark completely--the potatoes were vastly undercooked, giving them a raw texture, and they were a dark color instead of a normal opaque white, showing that the potatoes used were going bad. Thumbs up / Thumbs down: Thumbs up (I would still go back for the great atmosphere and service).

Communicating with each other & the patrons. I'd definitely come back to try more from the menu.
