Two movers help moved 35 plastic containers (all free to loan) and furnitures, plants, and all for 8 hours straight. They helped pack and wrapped anything that wasn't packed. They didn't take their time to get the work done, but rather pushed as hard as possible. To the point I had to tell them to take a rest before continuing in the hot heat. So if you had a choice to choose between another company and this company, I would pick this home business company. They really work hard for their money. The movers told me upon arrival there was a $400 tip required, which was 25% of my bill that was never previously discussed. When I contacted the company directly I was told that is not their policy. Then the mover came back and asked me "why I had to contact boss , I have a lot of stuff". He then demanded that 25% tip up front. And to make this clear, there is NO ENGLISH, I was advised by the company if I want to communicate use google translate, so all was discussed typing into phones and pointing. I couldn't get them out of here and way from my stuff fast enough. *This review is based on my moving experience on 12/12/2023 My move from San Francisco to San Jose was smooth thanks to Hello Movers. The contact person was very responsive and quick, I was able to book the move a week before my moving day on a weekday. My booking was at 8am for 3 hours with 3 movers for a 1 bedroom; I have a HUGE couch and I was so glad I booked 3 people instead of 2. The movers were very professional and they moved fast to wrap the furniture and get those to the moving truck. Bonus points for movers being super friendly! The move ended exactly 3 hours as expected, I was amazed by their efficiency. Things to keep in mind: - Although my booking was at 8am, the movers were an hour late (perhaps due to traffic?) I was informed by the contact person so I was okay with it. - The movers piled boxes on a dolly, be sure to ask them to be careful when going down to the stairs and corners, I saw a small chip off the upper stair ceiling after the move. - Furniture was wrapped very nicely, I have CB2 and IKEA furniture but if you have more expensive ones, be sure to tell the movers to be careful/slow down since they work for efficiency.
